Super sloppy work and not what they used to be. I've been coming to Joe Hudsons for 20 years, this time I had a lot of contaminants and hair under my paint. Even worse, the door they replaced wasn't mounted properly and would have leaked water. The trim seals didn't touch the glass either. When I brought the car back in, the customer service guy dropped his head and explained how hard it's been to get good work, although that doesn't explain how it got passed their quality control. I'm assuming they're trying to pay less and another body shop or the dealers are getting all of the good labor. Also, just like a home contractor, it twice as long as they say, that way you feel comfortable dropping off the car. Once I returned it, they said it'd take a day to fix, two weeks later I had to call just to get an update. They shafted me on the additional rental expenses incurred that were strictly due to their poor management and quality control. I'd Ignore all reviews that weren't writing in the past 12 months. Whenever we have insurance related body work needed on vehicles, this is where we go since it's the closest local authorized partner with USAA. work is always completely in a timely manner. I am not the biggest fan of their parking lot as it can be a pain to get in an out if they are busy. read more

We took the car to the center and an adjuster walked around it and took photos (Geico claim). We were then asked if we wanted to leave it and since car was driveable, we said no. Little did we know that not leaving car we were in effect canceling the estimate. The man we talked to said he would have to contact Geico and they would write estimate and notify them. That information was not correct in that Geico would send the adjuster to them to review the damage if we left it and they would orderr the parts. We were familar with other Joe Hudson locations and they would review the damage, ask you to authorize service and then order parts and notify you when to bring in (appointment). The explanation was not exactly wrong but was not clear. We asked if it could be repaired at anther location nearer us and were told that other locations did not do Geico claims. Geico said any location fine Hopefully now clear. However they should explain better. I would only give it a mediocre review read more

After my wife's car was vandalized, I called the insurance company to start my claim and see where they recommend I take the vehicle. USAA had never steered me wrong and one again hit a homerun with recommending Joe Hudson's. Initially I had setup July 21 as my drop off day, but due to scheduling errors asked if I could drop it off earlier. Not only did they accommodate me dripping it off early, they began work on it early as well. Car looks great, I noticed a small blemish and was offered to wait just a few minutes for them to correct it. Front office staff is very knowledgeable about repair process and your vehicle status. When I picked up the car it was like they had only worked on my car with how knowledgeable they were about what repairs were done. read more

We had our car damaged by another person who had USAA. USAA recommended that we use Joe Hudson's. We ultimately chose them because they seemed fairly friendly and competent. We had set up an appointment to have our car repaired. They had told us to set up an appointment for a Tuesday because that would give them enough time to get a part in stock and would take about 4 days to complete. We set up the appointment on that Thursday due to our own schedule, but it gave them an extra 2 days to get the part in. Drop off went smoothly, and the people were very friendly at the drop off. We were told again it would take about 4-5 days to complete. During that Thursday, we got periodic emails telling us the progress on the repair. The email said it would be ready the next day! We called that Thursday afternoon to confirm that what was supposed to take 4-5 days would only take 2 days. The man confirmed that it may be ready the next day and to call around lunch time the next day to make sure it would be ready. On the next day (Friday), we called at 11:30AM, and the person confirmed that it would be ready that afternoon. My wife and I both work, so we rearranged our schedules to be able to pick up the car as well as our kids that afternoon. Not more than 3 hours later, we get a call that the car won't be ready until Monday because it needed to be buffed. Angrily, we called the company who was anything but sympathetic to us having to rearrange our schedules for no reason. Instead of being very apologetic, I was met with what amounted to a "deal with it." So Monday rolls around, thinking the car would be ready that day again. Schedules rearranged once again. Emails saying the car will be ready that day. We get a call that afternoon stating the car won't be ready because the part that was supposed to be ordered when we made the appointment wasn't even there! If they didn't have the part on Monday, how on earth would our car even have been ready on Friday? Makes you think they had no clue what the plan was in repairing the car. The car thankfully was finished the next day (Tuesday). The repairs themselves went fine. The repairs were pretty basic (fender dented and rear view mirror damaged). However, their attitude, their lack of knowing how long a job would take, and their inability to order a part and incompetence in knowing what the job encompassed left a sour note on our experience with them. Yes, the job was completed in the initial 4 day estimate, but you don't say everyday for 3 days out of the 4 that car would be ready that day. Will never use Joe Hudson's again. read more
