Colorize Collision Center did a good job fixing my minor truck repair, but what I didn't like was them giving me a 2-3 day repair time, but it actually taking 8 days for my repair to be finished. It would have taken even longer if I hadn't called them myself and asked what was going on. Despite the long repair time, I'll admit they did do a good job. The scratch in my left rear wheel molding was completely gone, and the paint matched the rest of my red Tacoma perfectly. Dean was the guy I talked to, and he was quite friendly. They give complimentary estimates for whatever work you need done, and are easy to talk to. Will I come back? Yes, as long as I don't need the repair to be done ASAP. For the second time, GEICO tried to use aftermarket parts to cut costs. Candace noticed a performance difference and wrote a supplement for a factory door handle. I took delivery on time, and brought the truck back when the factory door handle came in. John put the factory door handle on while I waited. Some one hit my bumper at public parking lot damage was to paint and a sensor. After taking my truck to major national collision center who would not provide a estimate and said they would need the truck for between 2 weeks and 6 weeks I took the truck to Colorize Collision. Colorize gave me estimate that was about half the swag of the other place. Colorize got me in the next day and had the truck back to me in 3 days. The work was done perfectly, my new truck looks new again. Additionally, Colorize worked with my insurance company and lowered my deductable by 50%. Great service, great work. I have been in the auto repair industry for 25 years, unfortunately my shops have only done mechanical repairs. I was referred to Colorize on Bay Area Blvd approximately 3 years ago by a new coworker and I sent my vehicle to them. I have lived in Friendswood all my life and Colorize is by far the best body shop I have ever delt with. Today I picked up my 1999 Honda Accord with only 45k miles on it after I ran into the back of a car leaving my shop in Galveston. My car was like new before the accident which was quite upsetting. I lost my cars in Hurricane Harvey and found this 1 owner Honda after the storm with 14500 miles on it. Although I was afraid it would be a total loss even though it wasnt major damage it had great value to me. The estimate written was borderline total loss but Candice and her husband, the owners of the shop worked with my insurance company and although it was unsure of the total damage due to the fact you couldnt open the hood they got the complete repair covered by my insurance less my deductable. My car looks new again. This is the fourth repair I have had the do personally and I have also sent a few customers to them. As said in the beginning Ive been in this business a long time and they are by far the best shop Ive found and they are just really great people to deal with. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. DO NOT use this place. The people are not friendly at all! I had work done on my vehicle, through insurance, and because I left the truck there a few weeks due to an illness they filed a lien on my vehicle. Even though I kept telling them I was coming. All that is fine but the lady that sits in the front is very rude and RACIST!!! They have rude people and do subpar work. Candace is amazing. She gave an estimate to fix the damage done to my car, which was almost $1k. She said it'd take 3 days to fix, and instead, it took less than 2. When I arrived my not only was fixed, but it was detailed the best I've ever had. Nobody has done a better job on that. Not only that, she mentioned that they decided to try to take out some minor dings and fix minor scratches on my car. Well worth the time and money. They take care of rentals for you with the insurance company quite well too. Will take my vehicle there if I ever need to have it fixed again. read more

Pros: speed of service, cost Cons: poor quality of work, work not as promised, poor support Took car in for minor door ding repair. Estimate writer noted that damage was localized, and therefore repair could be confined to door, saving money. Repair was performed quickly, and looked fine when viewed in low light of their facility. However, in sunlight, the poor paint match was very apparent. From 20 feet or more away door appears gray, not silver. Was told paint would be "blended on the door" (it wasn't - mismatched paint went right to edges of door/trim, and paint transitions to lower part of door over only 1/4"). I brought the car back, and the only thing they could offer was an excuse ("Well, we tried" - an actual quote) and an offer to make it right for an additional $450. Given their failure to match the paint correctly the first time, I declined. Spoke with attorney who confirmed pursuing the case would cost more than getting the repair redone properly elsewhere. Reviews of body shops were hard to come by when I was looking, so I hope this review helps someone. read more

I have used Colorize several times because they are convenient. The first few times I talked to Dean and they did good work. About three years ago my car was in a minor fender bender that damaged the trunk lid. Colorize repaired the damage and it looked good but the person estimating the damage lied to me. Now three years later the paint is peeling because they did not use a quality clear coat. About two years ago, I had the side view mirrors painted and now they are peeling also due to poor quality clear coat. It is costing me over $ 500 to repaint the trunk lid and mirrors. I will not go back to Colorize. read more
