Sometimes I forget to pack things when I go on work trips. This trip was no exception. I realized I forgot to pack dress shoes. All I brought were my sneakers. I googled shoe stores upon arrival to the hotel and found this gem! I will start by saying I entered the store fully knowing they closed in 30 minutes. I was welcomed like I was family. I never once felt rushed. The salesperson started a conversation with me and I informed him of needing some dressier shoes for the reasons listed above. He immediately suggested something in the clearance section seeing I needed a quick solution. I thought this was really considerate. He could've easily tried to take advantage of a situation. I ended up trying something regularly priced because I liked the brand and they looked comfortable. And they were. I bought them and am very happy with my purchase. I'll be back in the area in a few weeks. I intend to stop in again. read more

There is one gentleman there who is friendly and attentive, unfortunately i dont remember his name. If he isn't there then forget it. I find the staff inattentive and not friendly. Was tempted to find my size myself a few times. Makes it hard to support a local business. read more

The store had good service when I went to buy a pair of Hokas. I purchased them 06/30/24 and it is only august and look like they are years old. I sent them a message with no call back. I'm guessing either these shoes are defective or used. I cannot find my receipt but have proof of purchase on my bank statement. NRVER AGAIN! I have been buying shoes here for 40 years. That will never happen again. The staff lied about ordering my daughters shoes, it was months ago, yet each time I called or stopped in they said they were on order. She needs special shoes, yet months go by before I discovered they never ordered them! And yet, it was ok for them to take my money! For months! Unfortunately this was not the first time, but we all believed their BS. OFF TO NASHUA to a new to us store that comes highly recommended by many! Our local family just told us their horror stories. Went in about 4 minutes after they opened and I was the only customer in there for 10 minutes. There was about 5 workers and no one greeted me or offered if I needed any help. Another customer came in and they greeted him right away. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time read more

This is only getting a three star for me. Three because they have a great shoe selection. But I have to say, a smile greeting you at the door would be a nice addition. When I ask for shoe sizes or styles or a specific brand you get a point of the finger "over there" no one seems to want to help and if they do it feels reluctant. I would have potentially bought two more pairs of shoes than I did but no one seemed to want to help so I didn't bother. I wanted to leave quickly cause on this beautiful summer day I'd rather be somewhere a bit more upbeat. At checkout the girl barely spoke a word to me and didn't smile at all, I even asked "is anyone happy here at all?" With all the options online and brick and mortar quickly becoming irrelevant I'd step up that game, if you want people to keep coming back. Brighten up that vibe guys, just a friendly suggestion. Truth be told, my friend and I only came in because the rain was heavy and the store we were downtown looking for wasn't open yet and who doesn't like to browse shoes, right? I'm glad we ventured inside because they had a great selection of higher end women's hiking shoes and we have a lot of spring, summer and fall hikes planned already so I wanted to find a waterproof hiking boot. I was immediately helped by a store employee - she kind of hovered which made me wonder if she thought I was going to steal but maybe she was just super keen to help me. She explained some of the shoe displays and got me a size 8.5 Sorel boot. I am in love with this hiking boot. I've been wearing it in lieu of my normal sneakers since I purchased it and might need to find more shoes in this brand. It was a bit pricey at $150 but well worth it. They also had a CBD gummy display at the check-out (along with other products) that seemed surprising but the gummies were very nice and smooth. I bought a pair of Hoka One One Bondi 6 Running Shoes in August 2018 . The sales women -- Cashier #24 welcomed me with a smile and a good afternoon . I ask her that I would like to try on a pair of Hoka Bondi 6 Running shoes . I also bought a pair of Aetrex --Lynco L 400 orthotics . She inserted the orthotics into my shoes , they I put them on my feet . I then walked around the store and they fit and felt awesome . I brought them home a I wear them every day . They help me to walk better than New Balance shoes . I walk a pace of a 13 minute mile , for a total distance four miles a day . I would highly recommend Joe Kings Shoe Store to all my family and friends for their foot ware needs . read more

I live in Canada and recently visited Joe King's shoe store to buy some sandals. The young sales associate who helped me was very knowledgeable and helpful; when I told him that I have high arches and needed a sandal with good arch support, he immediately pointed out which brands met my needs. Although my size in the color I wanted was sold out, I did buy a pair and am very, very happy. Excellent service and I will definitely drop in again the next time I'm in Concord. read more

Joe Kings was the local shoe store in Concord for many a year, before Concord got a mall. It was a small storefront place where the Shoesales people knew who we were and what we needed, and marked our progress through life by our shoe size, and our new cleats and such. Its since become much bigger but the lady who sold me my shoes when I was a kid is still there! good selection and a clearance section downstairs with the work boots ans such. read more

Joe King's has a fabulous selection of shoes. The staff did not measure our feet, nor did they help us navigate our way through their wide variety of shoes. They did not help us try on the shoes. My daughter picked out a pair of shoes and they were a little tight, the salesperson just told my daughter to look around and find something else. The shoe store I go to in Massachusetts always measures my feet always takes off my shoes and puts on the ones I am thinking of buying and they make sure they fit. The service is terrible and I have had this experience with them twice. Very disappointed in the service. read more

I have been a customer for three plus years and the the staff there is amazing. I have to wear only hard soled shoes like Dansko or ariat which are hard to find the right one. Krissy was the associate that helped me for over two months find the right pair with great customer service and communication. On Black Friday weekend I both a pair of work shoes and winter boots. Just went in to Joe King This morning to buy shoes rather than online. Very disappointed to find all three employees without masks. When I asked why they did not wear them they said it gets uncomfortable going up and down the steps. I was the only customer in the store at the time, and none of them we're going up and down the steps. Very disappointing as it effecting My shopping experience and my comfort. read more

Saying they saved my life is a bit of an overstatement but they did come damn close. I was referred by my orthopedic surgeon and just like he knows what he's doing with my knee, he knocked it out of the park by suggesting I go to Joe King's for shoes to help with a wicked case of plantar fasciitis. For the last three weeks I've been miserable dealing with the pain and it was definitely affecting my recovery from MCL surgery. When I walked into Joe King's I saw them as my last hope and like Tom Brady in the 4th quarter, they came through. The young man that helped me knew exactly what I was going through. I told him that the only shoes I was comfortable in were my running shoes and I couldn't wear them at work. He gave me several choices of different styles but the first one he suggested was exactly what I needed. Not only that, he also showed me a set of inserts that made my running shoes feel 100 times better than they already did. This helped me not have to replace every pair of shoes I currently have saving me a ton of money. But don't you worry, no more budget shoes for this guy. As those other pairs need to be replaced, Joe King will be the place that supplies them. It's true, there's not much that can make you more miserable than chronic foot pain. Joe King's and their staff can make your feet happy which will totally improve your quality of life and make you happy. 1000 times I say thank you Joe King's and the incredibly intelligent young man that saved the quality of my life. This is a cool store that reminds me a lot of Red Shoe Barn. They are a bit pricey compared to big box stores but have all the "good shoes" i.e Dansko, workboots,etc. The clearance center downstairs is difficult to navigate- I felt drunk or something walking through there as it was a total sensory overload. They have the old skool human shoe fitter service, which makes it a little more personal. Men's Women's and Kid's departments for all seasons makes this a good all around family place for those that have the money to spend. read more

Very expensive. I needed supportive sandals for my back. Thought I would try an old favorite: Birkenstocks. Bought a pair one year ago. In NH you only wear sandals about 5 mos. Both soles cracked but still wearable. Today a strap broke. Took them back to Joe King's, and they would do NOTHING for me, except give me Birkenstock's phone number. Terrible customer service. I won't ever go back. Beter to go to Payless and buy 2 pairs for much less than half. read more

The selection is gigantous, but does not have any of the cool new shoe lines by Adidas, Reebok, and Nike. besides that, they have moderate pricing, okay customer service, and okay prices. Plenty of shoes to choose from as long as you get someone to help you out. Arrived there around 10:50 am 11/9/14. Store wasn't busy. No one approach me for assistance in purchasing a pair of boots. $150 loss of sale for the store. Management needs to train their younger employees to excel at their jobs! read more

Great selection of shoes including dansko clogs. Prices are somewhat high, but on point considering the brands they represent. One experience trying to find a shoe that would optimize comfort and support after a foot injury wasn't as great though--unfortunately the sales person did not seem to have much more knowledge of the shoes than I did and wasn't able to help me find what I needed. I was disappointed because at a place like this, I would hope the sales people would be very knowledgeable and help to find the right shoe and fit. I can always go buy shoes somewhere else and just try them on myself--I came here for the added benefit of a shoe "specialist"! read more
