a cup of coffee on a table

What a hidden gem!! I found Joe Van Gogh on Yelp while looking for a coffee shop close to my house. I'm glad I read the reviews first, so I knew that this Joe Van Gogh was tucked away in an office plaza. Just look for their sign and their outdoor tables with blue umbrellas. I went in around 8:30 and had the place pleasantly to myself. The barista was lovely and offered suggestions and told me all about their new options. I grabbed a seat at the table and was able to work for a while. The place did fill up a bit, but mostly with regulars. Overall it was a calm place to work. No fighting for a table or internet bandwidth! I tried the rose cardamom latte as well as the gingerbread chai. Both of which I would try again! The rose cardamom is seasonal and they make the syrup in house, they also make the chai base in house. I look forward to heading in here again soon when I'm look for a tasty latte and a change of scenery.

Nitro cold brew is awful! Everything else is fine, service was good, unassuming location.

The coffee was good, customer service was beyond friendly. This is where I'll be the next time I'm in Raleigh, NC.

A bit about the fancy thing I was talking about - they don't have almond milk, only Macadamia milk, and they have coconut whip cream.

I got a hot americano first which was fantastic; i use this as a base measure for how well a shop pulls shots without having to completely sacrifice the drink if its subpar. I then grabbed an espresso which was perfectly balanced and easily drinkable; no need for sugar to offset bitterness; appropriate temperature; served in warmed ceramic shot glass. I also grabbed a baked good which was also great, i wouldve preferred it warmed up, although admittedly, they probably could have if id asked. There is a large amount of outdoor seating but inside seating is limited as well as outlets for work. Luckily it wasnt busy when i arrived and was able to find a spot to get setup. Will absolutely be coming back and recommending this place to others.

I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.

There's plenty of seating, and the menu offers a lot more than just coffee -- with options ranging from craft coffee to beer and wine. I ordered a cortado, which was exactly the late-afternoon pick-me-up I needed. I had to take it to go (never the ideal way to enjoy a cortado), but it was still well prepared and nicely balanced. I also tried one of their seasonal drinks, the Bee Stings Latte -- an iced latte with honey, ginger, turmeric, and a little cayenne kick. It was a really unique combination and surprisingly refreshing. The spice and honey gave it a comforting, almost restorative feel -- the kind of drink that would be perfect if you're feeling a little under the weather or dealing with sore joints. My wife ordered the Raspberry Beret, an iced matcha with raspberry purée and white chocolate. Her verdict: the best matcha she's ever had. Between the creative drinks, solid coffee, and laid-back atmosphere, Full Bloom is a great spot in Garner whether you're settling in for a while or just grabbing something on the go.

For food, I got the Maple griddle which was very tasty. We were all wanting mimosas but they ran out of juice for mimosa so they were just giving champagne instead. My only complaint that I watched all my friends get theirs in beer glasses but mine came in a small container -__- I assume this may be the regular mimosa glass but I disliked the consistency and equality. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat upstairs, which was a decent sized area with great lighting and local art. Overall, it's a nice establishment in downtown Garner.

I recently found a hair baked in in my blueberry banana bread and the cashier was quick to rectify this w the option of refund/replacement. Their bakery desserts are beautiful but they aesthetics are as far as my compliments go for them. I tried the strawberry raspberry cheesecake and majority of it was gelatin and chocolate. Didnt taste any cheesecake. Maybe their other items are better! The GOAT is yummy but felt very skimpy on the toppings. I wouldnt say their food is their strong suit here.

Since I was so close, an Idle Hour had 30 minutes until closing, I thought I would go in for a Iced Chai Latte--one of my favorites--I love the way Isle Hour makes it, FLAVOR TOWN! Even though it was 30 degrees outside, I still ordered the Iced Chai Tea Latte. I knew that I would be very comfortable in their lounge area. After I ordered, I saw the Hot Chocolate Bomb at the countered. I asked the staff member about it and ordered that also. The Hot Chocolate Bomb is the BOMB --Delicious! I drank my Chai Latte after and was not disappointed. Staff is great--friendly and enthusiastic. Atmosphere very homey.
