The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. They have a huge drink menu, coffee, cold brews, their famous coffee smoothies, juice smoothies, and all types of teas from matcha to milk tea. There's so many options. The team behind the counter were very nice & helpful it being my first time. It's not fancy, but cute and cozy. There's lots of seating, plenty of outlets for laptops, it's a great place to work. The outdoor patio is covered with plenty of tables. I ordered the iced coconut latte and one of the baked goods from a local bakery on display at the counter. I recently bought a bag of Esteban Zamora and it was one of the most amazing cups of coffee I've ever brewed. Imagine a great cup of coffee with hints of cinnamon and apple pie but without being sweet and beautifully enhancing that warm, roasted goodness. I love the downtown Raleigh location too. She continued to try to go back and forth with me about remaking my drink trying to make it seem like it's a problem and telling me "the way you came in was a lot" even though I asked multiple times, very nicely and tried to make clear, that my problem right now is about the attitude my complaint was handled with because I understand that mistakes can happen. I also understand that it shouldn't be a problem to make it right at the end without making fun and rolling eyes. My remade drink was still wrong and it was obvious that it was purposely this time, since I told her my order again, she repeated it and still proceeded to use a LG cup instead of a regular, but continued using regular cup measurements+ 1 espresso shot (which is also not what would come in there regularly). Even after I mentioned, again, that it was supposed to be 3 espresso shots( she charged me for another 2 shots,which is fine, I'm not here to get anything for free, I really just wanted my one drink made right) she handed me a regular matcha, 3 espresso in a large cup, filled up with milk to the top. They let me sample their coffee to see which one i would like. It is located in an industrial building with wooden and metal pieces of vintage furniture which makes for a very cozy vibe. I feel great supporting this local business as they focus on high quality ingredients, giving back to the community, and taking care of the environment. What is not to love here! They have seating inside (some booths, a high table, and coffee table seating) and a courtyard which im sure is lovely during warm seasons. I was able to park in a booth and get some work done for a few hours. Its very calm with little distractions. I will say, their parking lot is limited to a few spots in the front but there is plenty street parking. Im not sure if you can park long but i wouldnt be afraid of parking there for grab and go!
