Stopped by to grab some coffee, but didn't actually end up getting coffee lol. Instead, I got a 24 oz frosted lemonade and added strawberry to it. It was really good. The place was quiet, with just two workers on shift, and they were both very nice.

I got and iced white mocha and it was very good. Place is calm and relaxed gives a chill vibe to the whole establishment. I will be returning when I'm in Raleigh and need a quick coffee or a spot to sit and chat with friends while sipping a drink.

Great consistent service and coffee! The staff is friendly and courteous, and the frappe's taste great. If you like a little nutty flavor, then I would recommend trying the funky monkey frappe!

Deja Brew Coffee House was one of the first spots I came to on my first visit to Raleigh. What makes this quaint little coffee house so great is its intimate setting. It's quiet enough if you're just looking to lounge and read a book enjoy a cup of Joe and some eats or meet up with some friends and enjoy the outdoor seating while enjoying Raleigh's welcoming weather. On this day it was the right amount of chill in the air that made my hot cup of coffee so enjoyable. As you walk through the doors you're immediately greeted with warm and welcoming gestures.

Found this little gem down the street from my office! I've gotten coffee and breakfast from here at least fifty times. The staff is always so kind! I LOVE their coffee and lattes! They always have great seasonal options as well with milk alternatives. They place is small but not cramped with a drive thru with is super convenient!

'Tis the season for gingerbread lattes! I'd been on the hunt for this holiday drink for a few weeks (not a chain), so after dropping my kitty off at the nearby vet I headed over to see what Deja Brew offered. The drive through lane is extremely narrow and awkwardly shaped so I opted to go inside. I was not greeted quickly and when the cashier did ask what she could get me it was pretty lackluster. I don't know if it's early or something, but they did not have many holiday drinks and the seasonal drinks they were offering were still pumpkin flavored. Look for the syrups on the shelf behind the cash register for flavors you can add to lattes or mochas. I got a nonfat latte and added gingerbread syrup. It was pretty good. I ask for my drinks extra hot and this certainly met the criteria. They have a selection of pastries, non-coffee drinks, and ground/whole bean coffee you can purchase. There is a fair amount of seating where you could work or catch up with a friend.

Stopped for a coffee. The gingerbread and cappuccino were pretty good, the milk was a bit overheated. Vanilla frappe was great.

Back again, still the best coffee house in Raleigh. We eagerly look forward to visiting every time we're in town to see family.

A Truly Artisanal Bakery…read more I rarely leave reviews on yelp anymore, but this bakery is so impressive, it inspired me to type this down. I'm from the Bay Area and loved going to all kinds of bakery when I travel. I did not have much expectations when I came to Raleigh. I tried Paul and Jack and couple other bakeries, they were all good, but not impressive. The first thing I noticed was their Mill Room, and second I noticed that they have 100 score on hygiene. Not that I care about the score that much but still impressive. Then We got a bunch of pastries, the shortbread was the first one we tried and wow, it was so simple yet so flavorful, truly malted tasting shortbread, it has so much depth in taste. Then I had a had a ham and cheese croissant, it was on the salty side but I kept eating it when I'm not even hungry. The true winner though, is the plain croissant I got which traveled with me for 72 hours back home. I got it out of my bag, slightly flattened by all my stuff, I expect it to taste flat and meh. I put it in the oven for 6 minutes and it turned out to be the best croissant I've had. It was flaky, soft and soo flavorful. Now I cannot stop thinking about it. Lastly, I want to say that with so many pop ups, new bakeries coming up in different cities, often times we were chasing that unique flavors, that special toppings on croissants, but Boulted Bread stayed true to bread, and perfected the craft without focusing on "exotic" or "special" flavors. I truly respect this.

A bialy (bee-AH-lee) is a traditional Polish-Jewish bread roll, similar to a bagel but with key differences: it is baked, not boiled, has a dimpled center filled with onion bits and poppy seeds, and is generally softer and less dense. Originating in Białystok, Poland, these rolls are traditionally served plain or toasted with toppings like butter or schmear. 2. Rye shortbread. Not too sweet. Just perfection! 3. Bran biscotti. I like the idea of a high-fiber bran biscotti over a refined flour one. 4. Buchi Tepache. I got the mango-pineapple flavor. This is a local NC brand. It's a mildly fermented drink that originated in Mexico. I got the ingredients from their website (drinkbuchi.com): Organic Tibicos (Water, Organic Fair Trade Certified™* Cane Sugar, Organic Kefir Culture), Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Mango Puree, Organic Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Organic Whole Lemon Puree, Organic Mango Natural Flavor, Organic Pineapple Natural Flavor, Organic Monk Fruit Extract. 5. The baguette. Unlike a refined flour white bread baguette at La Farm Bakery, this one is made of a red wheat flour. Turkey Red flour is an heirloom, organic hard red winter wheat brought to Kansas in 1873 by Mennonite immigrants. Prized for its rich, nutty flavor and superior baking qualities, it is often used for artisan bread, sourdough, and pasta due to its unique, sometimes more digestible, gluten profile. It is commonly stone-ground and available from local Kansas millers. 6. The star of the show was the Everything Croissant. Like the Everything Bagel but soft and buttery. Topped with all the sesame seeds and seasonings with a cream cheese interior. So good! I do plan on returning!

Although the space is tiny, the desserts and cocktails more than make up for the line out front, and the noisy nature of downtown locations! There were 4 of us and we enjoyed the strawberry pretzel pie, derby pie, ice cream, coffee, and old fashioned. First of all, AMAZING cocktails- and an epic list of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches. They've also got some custom beverages that you cannot find else. Super thumbs up for originality of cocktails, creative menu presentation, and speed of service! The derby pie was good- but I like mine with a denser filling. My friend enjoyed her strawberry pretzel pie, and the fact that not many places offer this on their menu. But, she said it was not as good as homemade. The gents in our party RAVED about how great Bittersweet's old fashioned drinks were! They said that these were definitely in the top three beverages they had ever had! This hole in the wall had a bridal party, some goth appearing folks, and suits too. In short, no matter what you like to drink, what you enjoy eating for dessert, you will find it here!

The space is fairly large and they stay open late (until 11 PM on weekends), making it a great place to hang out with friends or stop by to satisfy a sweet tooth during a night out. I've purchased their macarons as gifts, tried several desserts here and to-go, grabbed coffee and stayed to do work, and even stopped by for lunch. Their light bites are quite tasty, and I especially enjoy their phyllo-dough pastries. Their latte options are great--the flavors are creative yet still approachable, and the syrup options are delicious. Service is attentive and efficient. There's always a big team behind the counter, and instead of calling names, they give you a number and bring food or drinks directly to your table, which is so thoughtful! They can get quite busy at times - lots of families and big groups stop by to hang out. I enjoy the community it brings, though sometimes this is not the most ideal place to get work done. Highly recommend Asali for anyone looking to try creative desserts, a great cup of latte!
