Me and my wife had the cucumber lime agua and the banana and cream matcha. The agua is pretty refreshing not to sweet and not to heavy on the cucumber. What a nice place! Upon entering you are greeted by some nice friendly employees. The case is full of delicious looking desserts. I had a Horchata Macchiato it had a bit too much milk for me I only drank a little- it had great flavor- I tried to get it made with non-milk but it was not available. I first found La Horchateria at a Yelp Event but made a return visit earlier this month as I was that impressed with the shop. I received just as great service if not better on my return visit. They are not fast as everything is made to order but you do not wait long for what you order and so fresh. I wanted to try a waffle. It was a little hard to eat out of the box but it had a lot of blueberries and strawberries. I was expecting a little nutella but it had a lot. I would have preferred it with just the fruit so will order it that way next time. I also ordered the dulce de leche mini pancakes again and churros. I ordered those to go. I had another hot chocolate with the cinnamon as I really enjoyed that. I expect this to be a regular stop for me as the food and service is that good. read more

This is a great little family-owned establishment. It has a wonderful atmosphere and is in a very cool shopping center. My drink was quickly made and was really good. Was in need of coffee when I ran into this place in Raleigh. When walking in, there are plenty of drink options and pastries. I ended up getting the horchata latte with less ice and I have to say that it was absolutely phenomenal. Great blend between coffee and horchata. Came here originally as part of a Yelp elite event but myself and my spouse also got some items off the regular menu. I got the monkey açaí bowl and it was SO GOOD. My spouse got the one with fruity pebbles on it and also enjoyed it. They also got the iced horchata macchiato and really enjoy it - I tried a sip and agree it was really good! We had the Dulce de leche mini donuts as part of the Yelp elite event, but I would certainly come back and get them again as well! I also had a small mocha latte which was very good. This place is super unique and has so many interesting menu items and coffee options. Service was a little bit slow but the people working seemed fairly young and were very, very nice. I was influenced to come here while visiting the Triangle area by one of my Instagram friends. I love Horchata and had to check it out. We got a mazapan Horchata (a peanut based Mexican dessert) and a mini concha ice cream sandwich with Horchata ice cream and a dulce de leche drizzle. Both were amazing. I'd never had a concha pastry before and I loved it. It was perfect for an ice cream sandwich. The Horchata ice cream was delicious. It was also my first time having anything mazapan flavored (not the same as marzipan). The peanut flavor covered up the cinnamon in the Horchata a bit, but it was just as delicous. Great little hidden gem tucked away off of Atlantic. I like the vibe inside with the neon lettering and cheeky signs. I know it's most likely just because of COVID, but I wish they opened earlier. I've been wanting to try their tres leche and cereal milk lattes, but since they don't open until 11am I can never seem to make the coffee timing work out. They have a solid covid setup with partitions to protect employees and all the chairs tied up. They also have markers on the floor for social distancing. I went in the afternoon and tried out their horchata and churros. Both were excellent. The horchata was super flavorful and not watered down like you experience at so many places. The churros were made fresh and the dips were great. My favorite dip was I'm guessing like a tres leches. I saw on social that they sell a horchata concentrate. Not only is it creamy, sweetened to perfection and not watered down, but they have so many flavors such as strawberry horchata, coconut horchata, and oatchata made from oat milk. The churros are also excellent. My two star dock is for their pan dulce and lack of enforcing their social distancing policy they had on the door. My pan dulce was extremely dry and crumbly, and tasted a little stale. This was a cozy nice spot. They had a few tables and we sat to eat our treats. The service was basic, they were not mean but also not very nice. We had the churros and dipping sauce. The churros were made to order and came out fresh. I am not a huge fan of a lot of cinnamon and this had a lot, but I can easily shake the excess off. These were not that good to me, they were not sweet and even with the dipping sauce it didn't pull everything together. My family ate the rest although they were not that impressed either.
