Joe's Auto saved my life! They were able to help me out last minute from a stressful situation. If you park your car on the street, you know that there is street sweeping. I went to my car and was unable to unlock it with either my automatic fob or mechanical key. I started lowkey panicking because this never happened to me before in all my years owning this car since 2017. I called Joe's auto shop, and not only were they able to come right away but they unlocked my car by opening the door. Jump started my car. And then I drove to their auto shop to get my battery replaced. They were fast, friendly, efficient and no upselling. Neil & his crew are very professional and honest. I got there for an inspection but they were busy so Neil said I could come back in 30-45 minutes. I went back and the line got longer, but he took me by the time he frame he promised me nonetheless. He gave some pointers on little things to look out for in my car in the future but didn't lie to me that it needed to be fixed at the moment & didn't pressure me to come back when it does need to be fixed. But because of that said I'd definitely go back in the future for any auto concerns because I believe they are honest. read more

What can I say, I have taken a couple of cars there over the past 15 years. I stopped. When my Kia sportage had a hole in the gas tank valve and I did not want to fix. He charged me $100 to junk my car.... which I saw months later parked on the street in my neighborhood... so it never went to the junk yard. 2018 I replaced all of the tires on my car to only have them wear down to the wire threads less then 2 years later. I had them handle my inspection and they said I had to remove my tint on the front two windows. Bear in mind, my tint JUST didn't make the limit. It wasn't like it was super dark (i'm a mom in a station wagon!). So I had to pay them to do it, or they wouldn't give me my inspection sticker, but would still make me pay for the inspection. FIRST - i found out they over charged me for the removal of my tint. SECOND - i found out that no inspection station makes you remove your tint, especially when you are just a hair over. He clearly took me for a ride to make a lot of money off of me. So not only did they rob me of $, but I also lost the tint on my front two windows. read more

I had previously taken my car to a dealership for the check engine light and some issues. The dealership saw an easy mark I guess and tried to charge me 9K for insane things. I took my car back and went to Joe's instead and Neil helped me out. He was very honest with me about what was wrong with the car and gave me reasonable prices and quality work. The car ended up needing to be junked through no fault of his own, but he was straight up with me about the problems and probability of fixing the issues, as well as pricing. He could have lied and not given me the probabilities or his honest opinion on whether it's worth it, but he did. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area. read more

Rip off! Over charges for the services. Simple work like mounting 2 bolts on license plate frame was charged 28$.

They never admitted the damage they caused and the repairs they made to my exhaust had to be redone by a mechanic who actually knew how to weld properly. These guys are a joke. I've given them over $10,000 worth of work and the other reviews are spot on. sub par work on beaters, no problem. I used to take an old volvo to them, but even that old piece of junk they took over $2k from me replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced when all I had was a corroded connection to the turbo. When I brought in a car recently that I care about to have the brakes replaced with a simple bolt on kit they mangled my new bigger brakes kit beyond recognition to make them fit the wheels and slathered paint on them to hide their f'd up work, getting red paint all over the car. To add insult to injury, they refused to reimburse me for their work or the parts they destroyed. I will never go back and I'm filing a complaint with the DMV. Buyer beware for sure. read more

I never write reviews on Yelp. Or anywhere really. I just don't care to. But Neil at Joe's Corner did the right thing, so I decided to share my experience as my was of saying thanks. I needed the fuel pump replaced in my '02 Dodge Caravan. I called all around- he gave me the most reasonable quote over the phone- and he really just sounded honest so I had my car towed there on a leap of faith. He gave me the option of 2 pumps $50 apart in cost. I chose the cheaper one. He changed the pump, and it turned out to be defective- despite it being new. I was very annoyed, but he took the car back in the next morning and offered to replace it with the more costly pump at no extra cost for the inconvenience. In addition to that, my car is 15 years old and could definitely use some tweaking, but he never attempted to tell me the thousands of things that needed to be replaced, worked on, etc- like Firestone has done every time I've ever gone. And that's my 2 cents. I noticed some bad reviews and it goes to show that no one can please everyone. Oddly enough, after seeing "j h" say that the BBB gave Joe's an F, I actually googled it and discovered that there is no rating at all due to not enough info. No Rating is VERY different than an F. Reading the "j h" review carefully, it truly reads like something a competitor would write. But hey, what do I know.... Personally, I was very pleased with the way Neil does business (and so is my car as it is running/starting perfectly) so again, I just thought I would let it be known. In a city filled with crooked mechanics, I most definitely suggest considering Joe's. read more
