The holes they did punch don't lay correctly and cause gapping on the strap.

Do not bring purses here. I came here initially because of the good reviews but twice now they have ruined my bags. About a year ago, I brought two purses in for minor work - one to be polished up and one to have a couple of simple holes punched in the strap. They punched holes in the wrong bag - which was a totally different style involving grommets, so I don't understand how they could make this mistake. It completely changed the look of the bag. Last week, I decided to give them a second chance and brought in a bag to have just another simple hole punched. We discussed it very clearly and he even said "I would just do this now it's so simple but I want to make sure it's done right" so I left it with them. I came back and they had CUT a big chunk of the strap off. And just left it an unfinished cut. It was mind boggling. It also meant the bag could no longer be adjusted to the other lengths. They apologized for the "misunderstanding" (though I don't understand what they misunderstood when it was so clear I just wanted holes punched). I left the bag with them to have the strap reattached. I just picked it up and frankly the reattachment is really shoddy work that looks fragile and bad, but I didn't say anything because honestly I don't trust them to fix it. I'm so disappointed and sad about this bag, which I cannot replace, and mad at myself for giving them a second chance and coming back after they messed up a year ago. I came here initially because of the good reviews so I feel obligated to say this so others can avoid my mistake.

Best shoe repair in town with super reasonable prices. They're understandably busy, so turnaround can be a bit slow. Plan ahead.

Took 6 pairs of shoes here for heel cap replacements and they were quick and my shoes look great! Hero cap replacements are $10.

Love KixxSoClean!…read more The only place I take my shoes to be repaired or cleaned. Micah, the owner has a sweet story behind why he ultimately started his business. Every time I've dropped off shoes I've been impressed w| the outcome afterwards! This business is conveniently located on Carondelet in the Warehouse District.

Okay, I'm back! I promise the service here/turn around time is much shorter than seven months, lol…read more In total I dropped off four pairs of sandals, three or four pairs of shoes, and three purses and I am very pleased with the results. Sneakers that I've had for years and have been put through the wringer (I'm talking tailgates, festivals, etc) came back looking brand new! I have once again been kicking rocks in them, so they're due for another round of TLC, but I truly didn't think that my "white" Converse would ever be white again, and let me tell you, they looked like they came right out of the box. I didn't get my purses cleaned, just some strap repair and those are holding on strong. I don' t feel like they integrity of my bags were compromised in any way and they feel secure. My sandals also came out great, but one pair does need the strap re-tightened already. Overall, I'm still very satisfied with the work. To say out of all of the items that needed repair, only one pair needs an adjustment I think is pretty good. I will say that I'm not sure how many opportunities he's had to do work on other items besides sneakers and tennis shoes, so if this is the quality that we get now, I can only imagine how it will improve with more experience. Definitely worth checking out if you'd like to get some more time with your loved on shoes and bags. Micah is very communicative about when your items will be ready and super accommodating in getting them back to you by offering a drop-off service. Many thanks to the Yelper that reminded me that I hadn't posted my update!
