You know, I am a pizza snob from NYC. I love pizza and compare it all to NYC. Most, if not all pizza outside of NYC just pales in comparison. Ordered Fox after a long day out with the family. We had a pie, half cheese and half pepperoni onion delivered to our hotel. Joe's Fox Hut was interesting, good. Crust flaky and taste was good. If I could I would have given this 3.5 stars. Sauce was a bit spicy, which I liked. Not really spicy, just a hint. Solid pizza. Slices were thin and cut into squares and triangles. Got the large pie and it was enough for three people. Had the mozzarella sticks to and they were standard fair. This place was voted best pizza in Fond-U-Lac for the last 20ish years. It very well could be the case as it was decent. Go read more

I've been told by many people that this is one of the best pizza places in Fond du Lac and I tried it for the first time last night. It was unfortunately very average. It wasn't bad but wasn't good either. The sauce was pretty bland and it reminded me of frozen pizza. For the price I feel like I could have gotten a better pizza elsewhere. You can NEVER go wrong with Joe's whether you eat in or get it to go/delivered. It has been consistently good since I was growing up, and is still as amazing today as it was back then. Fond du Lac is pretty quiet at 1am on a Friday, which makes it difficult when your stomach is craving some greasy food. I was at my hotel and did a quick Yelp search for delivery and one of the only places that delivered that late was Joe's Fox Hut. I was able to order an eight-inch personal pizza and paid extra to add my own toppings (ham and pineapple). They didn't tell me how long it would take...I assumed about 30 minutes and it was just around that time. The only downside was they don't take credit cards for orders under $10 and my order was around $9.80 (REALLY?!?!). The pizza was piping hot, with gooey cheese and plenty of toppings. It hit the spot and was a perfect late-night snack. A bonus is they gave me a paper plate and napkins...you don't get that very often. It wasn't necessary, but it was super nice to offer plates. I'm going to keep these guys in mind when I'm in FDL. read more

I called to order just after 5:00 p.m. and was told a pick up order would take 1 hour. They open at 4:30 p.m. They are open for 1/2 hour and already looking at 1 hour wait to go and pick up my pizza. No thanks. I have been loyal to Joes for over 20 years when I was able to get a pizza within about 1/2 hour most of the time. Evidently they don't need my business so I will go somewhere else. My best friend and I were attending a wedding in Fond du Lac and were looking for somewhere to eat late at night. Joe's Fox Hut had great reviews on Yelp, so we went. The service is excellent, we sat at the bar and talked with one of the owners for what seemed like hours. And we drank. And we had some of the best pizza I've ever had in the Fox Valley area. Ever since I was little I have loved going to Joe's Fox Hut with my grandparents. Even though I have moved to Arizona I still return to Joe's whenever I'm in Fond du Lac! I love their sauce and their pizzas are amazing. It's a quaint little joint with a traditional bar, a few arcade games, and a lot of families! You can go in and eat or take one out. It can get a little cramped, but I don't mind. I love the atmosphere and every time I've been there I've enjoyed delicious pizza with my family. I have some of the best memories there. I even own a baseball cap with their name on it and Arizonans ask me all the time what a "Fox Hut" is! A must-see-and-eat in Fond du Lac! read more

Joes has some amazing pizza,the appetizers aren't bad except for the hair we found fried into the jalapeño poppers. Oh and the 3 more hairs we found baked into the pizza. wear some damn hair nets in the kitchen! The way you order your food and get your drinks is a bit odd too. The pizza and atmosphere were excellent, but the attitude could have been better. After spending over $60 there with our large group of out of town relatives, we just wanted the guy to take some pictures for us...he got snotty about having pizzas in the oven. It is not as if they are the only pizza place available for us. We could have eaten elsewhere but had been to Fox Hut numerous times with our same large group. My wife and I went in on a Sunday evening a few months back and were "greeted" by an incompetent and rude bartender. We were so taken aback by the bartenders demeanor that we promptly walked out and went to Ala Romas instead, where we received outstanding service and fantastic pizza. We've ordered Joe's for take out in the past and the pizza is solid, nothing spectacular. The locals hype it up but quite frankly you can wave a shiny object in front of most of them and they become mesmerized . Like most pizza spots in the valley its overrated by the locals because they dont know what good pizza tastes like. With the pizza not being anything special and the service being terrible (not to mention the place is a dump), I would recommend going to one of the other pizza places in FDL as you will get superior service anywhere else. Great pizza. Even living in Chicago, a city with some great pizza of it's own, I find myself craving a Joe's Fox Hut pizza once in awhile. Now, some of the toppings aren't great, I really can't stand their green peppers and the mushrooms seem off (are they canned?), but the cheese, sauce, crust, and sausage are just great. Always a sure thing as far as terrific pizza and fish. We only ever order for delivery and have to be sure to order the pizzas well done so it's not too soggy, but it's perfect. And lately the food is PIPING HOT when it arrives. Onion rings, etc are never soggy - always crispy. Sometimes order takers are a bit gruff and grumpy but once you learn not to take it personally and just roll with it, it's all good. ;) read more
