We had a good time celebrating my husband's birthday. The food was delicious and the service was great. The wait staff was very attentive.

Went to a fairly new spot here in Clarksville, for lunch, and walked away thoroughly impressed. The service was immaculate, perfect setting with plenty of spacing and a cool set up. A place fit for families, group of friends, a date, or if you just want a nice wind down drink at the bar. The BBQ Smash burger I had was delicious, but the Fried pickles were the star of the show! The Philly cheese egg rolls barely had meat in them. They were practically cheese only. I would not recommend getting these. Strawberry alley has better ones. Love the aesthetic, love the location, and glad it gives people of Clarksville to go eat in the downtown area. Food was delicious, however I was shocked at the size of salmon...to the point where I mentioned it to the waitress as they brought it out. Like it was extremely small for a $19 menu item. The manager came out and I explained I genuinely was not asking for a replacement piece or anything, BUT he insisted on serving me another piece without charge. We made a 5:00 PM Valentine's Day reservation at Joe's Garage and had an email confirmation. When we arrived, the hostess couldn't find our name but told us we'd be seated since we had the confirmation email. We waited over 20 minutes while two couples who came in after us -- including one who said they didn't have a reservation -- were seated before us. When we asked how much longer, we never got a real answer. My husband spoke with the manager to understand what was going on, but she only repeated that we would be seated as soon as possible and "I'm sorry" without offering any explanation or solution. The hostess told the manager those guests were there before us, which wasn't true -- my husband walked in right in front of them from the parking lot and even held the door for them. After he explained that, the manager said she had to go by what her hostess said and still made no effort to resolve the situation, even though there were plenty of open tables. As we were walking out, the manager came from behind the counter almost chasing us to the door and finally offered bar or high-top seating, which is not what we reserved. Staff obviously needs better training -- there was no attempt at conflict resolution or to actually fix the issue, just repeated apologies. This was our first visit, and the experience completely ruined the rest of our plans for Valentine's night. I will not be back and I would not recommend Joe's Garage to anyone. read more

Love the feel and ambiance of this garage, metal and cars place. The classic cars in the front makes it better. The negative is that the parking lot is in then back oh there's a door to go in but you have to walk to the front of the restaurant. The menu is creatively named food with gear head titles. I love the Spark Plugs. The servers are hit or miss. Many times it seems like after you get your food they forget about you till it's time to pay the bill. Guess that could be a good thing too. When we first walked in, Nathan, the one that takes you to your table, noticed that my father had a walker and let me choose what kind of seating would be better for him. He went out of his way to be caring. The waitress, Carisma, was awesome. We never ran out of anything and the food was delicious! We went there to celebrate my granddaughter's 20th birthday.. Hands-down, the best Philly steak and cheese you will get anywhere! I would highly recommend this place! The Philly steak and cheese was so big. We have dined here on several occasions. The food and service is very good. Sometimes, they charge or up charge incorrectly.

This is the second time trying this restaurant, and I was disappointed both times. We came here the second time because we had a coupon for a Bogo menu item. I thought at least we get buy one get one free so even if the food isn't that good maybe it will be worth it but I was so wrong. We ordered the fried pickles which were honestly the best thing. We also ordered the grilled cheese, bacon sandwich, which tasted terrible. I ordered the barbecue burger, which looked really good, but after about five minutes became extremely soggy and uneditable. The Smashburger meat was actually very very dry. I also ordered a side of fruit and coleslaw. The fruit was good but how can you complain about fruit and the coleslaw tasted like I got it from the grocery store. Even if I had another, buy one, get one free Bogo coupon, I probably would not go back. if you're looking for a place to eat I would recommend so many other places. the atmosphere at Joe's garage is really nice but they are missing such a huge opportunity. read more

Attention Taco Tuesday lovers We just enjoyed the best tacos in town. I had three fish tacos with cilantro and onion on corn tortillas and my husband had shrimp, steak and Fish Tacos . My fish tacos were absolutely delicious!! the salsas are really good and compliment the flavors. But I must say, the grilled shrimp tacos are absolutely delicious as is the steak . The price was unbelievably reasonable. We will definitely be back on Tuesdays and Thursdays and of course always brunch on Saturday and Sunday up at Skyline bar. Went to Shelby's Trio for the first time and tried out all 3 floors. Started on the first floor at Joe's Garage and it was a nice casual eatery. We sat on the back patio and had a nice view of the sunset. We ordered a burger and a NY Strip and both were good. The waitress was very attentive and everything came out quick. While visiting my children I had time for lunch on my own. I met Cassie at the bar and checked out their amazing menu. I decided on the Bricken Patty Melt with dirt potatoes. I am so pleased with my choice! Tender, juicy and flavorful. Specialty cocktails, a wide and nice bourbon selection. Oh, BTW the house made Brake Dust seasoning is fantastic! The place is clean, classy and a must for a lunch or supper. They have other an Italian restaurant and roof top bar upstairs that I have been told are really good. After much hype and a chance to let the crowds die down, we decided to check out Joe's Garage and see what all of the talk was about. Monday evening, just after 5PM, not a very big crowd so we were able to get seated really quickly. I didn't bother paying for parking and there were no issues. Just as an aside, I think it's a pretty stupid idea to have paid parking for the place, I don't care how busy it's gonna get when the event center opens up, it's a fairly dumb idea. Anyhow, back to the review. Our server Heather was at our table quickly and she was very attentive throughout the meal. She offered up some recommendations and we decided the one we would try were the Spark Plugs - some "golden fried zucchini sticks with their version of the Green Goddess Dip. The best part of this appetizer was the dip. The zucchini sticks could NOT stand on their own and were not very tasty without the dip. They tasted like they were breaded in house, so it wouldn't hurt things if Joe's Garage decided to throw some flavorful seasoning (maybe some herbs that go in the seasoning) in the breading. We both ordered burgers and they came out soon after our appetizer did. I ordered the Turbo Charged burger with house made chips and my wife chose the Carburetor burger with hand cut fries. My burger was cooked medium and it came out medium, very juicy and cooked well. The jalapeno popper sauce was just kinda plopped on there and not spread out, but I know how to operate the provided butter knife so I just spread it out myself. Again, the burger was cooked just right but what I thought were going to be fried jalapenos on the top (like the menu says) turned out to be a big giant deep fried jalapeno with a batter that didn't completely cook in the frying process. In my humble, but highly accurate opinion, Joe's Garage needs to stuff these big giant jalapenos with jalapeno popper sauce AND THEN deep fry them and serve those suckers as an appetizer...that would sell like hotcakes (or deep fried jalapenos rather). My house made chips were good, but nothing to brag about. They could have used some seasoning tossed on them when they were fresh and hot out of the fryer. My wife enjoyed her Carburetor burger, like mine though, the black pepper sauce was just kinda plopped onto the burger...but like me, she knows how to operate a butter knife. She really like the taste of her burger and said that it was really juicy, despite the fact that she ordered hers well done. Must be the (Mel Gibson) Braveheart brisket adding some moisture to the mix. Her fries were delicious, and I know that because I stole some from her tray. Whatever was tossed on those things when they were fresh and hot out of the fryer needs to be tossed on the house made chips too. Joe's Garage, as well as Trattoria di Cat, was heavily hyped during the build. It seemed that the whole city was waiting for this place to open. Ultimately, I think it can be better, which lends to my high expectations should meet the high hype that surrounded this place before it opened. I did give it Four Stars, because it was a good overall visit, I was just expecting one of the best burgers I ever had and it didn't even come as advertised on the menu...it was a good pretty burger though. Don't worry about the prices, an awful Big Mac meal (NOT made with brisket, short rib, and chuck beef) is now over $10.00, why would anyone in their right mind think that this place should cost the same as that? It shouldn't. So, in closing...you should check this place out and form your own opinion. read more

Went for a burger lunch about 2 pm on Sunday. 20 minutes to get 2 drafts and a Margarita (minimal tequila). Almost an hour to get 3 burgers and 1 fish n' chips (Nuts and bolts). $17 for a burger with a side, (fries or salad) $3 upcharge if you want grilled zucchini or asparagus! For a $106 lunch the food was adequate at best. With that said we may try it again sometime in the distant future. read more

I had a great lunch today and considering it was their grand opening I had speedy service. I had the "Oil Spill" burger and it was delicious albeit very messy. The fries were delicious as well. The only potential downside is that the parking is a little limited. When the other businesses open at 4:00 pm, it will be even worse. JOE'S GARAGE!!!!! Ok check this out, someone with infinite wisdom tied to setup Shelbys trio to pay for parking, but when you get inside they'll tell you that customers don't pay for parking. This would be helpful to know before going in cause it really looks bad having to pay to park and eat. That being said, the food was great! The pics say alot but I will say, "Medium, Is a pink center", cook needs to realize that. Our service was great. Our server explained how the parking is a validated process so that diners do not have to pay for parking. However, the gentleman seating people stated they were not charging "Right Now". See what happens in the future. IMO, it's worth the trip. Just make sure Metropolis Parking doesn't charge you. All said and done, it was clean, the food was good and came out hot. read more

No one seemed to know what was going on from the front desk on. Our server was pleasant but mostly absent. She was either new or not cut out for the service industry. Most of the food was mediocre. My chicken was extremely overcooked and the mozzarella slice on top was not melted. There was no offer to remove it from the bill when I pointed out that it was not edible. I wanted to love this place, but nope. Food was below average. We ordered the jalapeño poppers...they leave all the seeds in, batter was raw, and they leave the stems on and cover them with batter...so you end up eating a stems. We sent those back, very bad. For lunch I had the Italian sandwich with soup & salad. Also below average. Sandwich was bland, and thrown together. Soup was weird, I'm not sure what kind it was. Salad was ok except for the almost bad cherry tomatoes, mushy. This place is very nice inside. Waitress was average. But the food, not up to par at all. I hope they get it together! read more

My group I went with went for brunch. The drinks were not that bad but not worth the prices. The food was way overpriced. I could have gotten a better steak and eggs at Waffle House. Also, some of the food item descriptions are completely wrong. They have steak breakfast bowl that is described as having grilled steak tips but when it was brought to the table it was a piece of chicken fried steak. On top of that, most of the orders that were correct were cold, barely lukewarm at best. I found a hair in my side of breakfast potatoes and another member from my group found a hair in his hash browns. Three people ordered the steak and eggs with medium rare steak. 2 of the 3 were adequately cooked while the last steak was still so raw it looked blue. It looked like they just lightly seared the top and bottom then plated it. Everything that was advertised as a "bowl" was served on like an entree would be served on a plate. The menu also said they had an Açaí bowl which was really a mixed berry parfait. You also have to pay to park there, with extremely limited amount of spots as it is. And the women's bathroom wasn't even working. Our waitress though was fantastic. She was super attentive and worked with us through every issue and worked very hard to make everything right. She was so sweet and so nice. I don't remember her name but her service was superb. The food and drinks were not. We will not be back here because of that. read more
