Let me start with the positives. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the shrimp and chicken Alfredo, and honestly, I enjoyed it more than the version served at some of the larger Italian restaurant chains. We also ordered a 16-inch pizza with two toppings, and the slices were huge. I was happy to see my kids get full after just two slices each. The only food item I didn't enjoy was the salad with the tomato vinaigrette. To me, it tasted like lettuce with ketchup, which wasn't what I was expecting. My biggest complaint was the temperature inside the restaurant. I'm usually the person who's cold everywhere, but I was uncomfortably warm during our visit. Everyone at our table looked like they were about to start sweating, and even some of the employees appeared uncomfortable from the heat. I would happily order the Alfredo and pizza again. If they can get the temperature inside the restaurant under control, the experience would be much more enjoyable. read more

Food is decent, however the LACK of customer service will ensure I never set foot in this establishment again. The girl at the front has a DISGUSTING attitude and should NOT work with clientele. We called to ask about the tiny portions as we picked up take-out and there were only four shrimp in the shrimp/chicken fettuccine. We are visiting from Houston. She hung up on my husband and when I called back to ask for her name she refused to give it to me. I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager and owner. I told her I'd never heard of management not providing their name. She HUNG UP ON ME 4 TIMES until the owner picked up and "apologized." Said he would talk to her. For GOOD Italian food I'd say drive out to Midland because these portions and that service is DESPICABLE. read more

Y'all. This place right here. We've had food from here on four separate occasions. The second time we were really disappointed. It just wasn't good and we'd ordered carry out. All I'm saying is EVERYONE, businesses included are allowed a bad day from time to time and the since we've not experienced poor food. We ordered the lasagna pizza tonight. While it sounds very plain Jane, do not underestimate its deliciousness. The crust is perfectly baked, the ingredients prepared fresh. It's a show stopping pizza. This is only my second time to Joe's, and I'm in love. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area I'm spoiled to good Italian food. What a lovely surprise to find a delicious option for dining out here in west Texas! Both of my visits I've ordered lasagna. The first time was a late lunch on Sunday. This time was a regular lunch on a Thursday. I assumed I'd get a smaller portion because I ordered the lunch special. Wrongo! I received a salad, full portion and two homemade raised rolls and a drink for $8.99!!! The food was out in ten minutes and it was steaming hot from the oven. We were hungry and far from civilization. This looked like the most decent place on yelp and so we took a chance. I wish we had just kept driving!! Waitress, first of all, did not know what kind of ice tea they served ie, southern sweet tea, raspberry, etc. and all because she didn't like tea. LOL! That should've been a clear sign that we should've gotten up and left. We ordered our food which was chicken Alfredo fettuccine and Stromboli. The fettuccini was swimming in what looked like Classico Alfredo sauce, even tasted like it. GROSS!! The toss salad?? Should've tossed that mess out!! It was iceberg lettuce and one sliced tomato. Disappointing! The tea wasn't good, so I returned it. But the biggest deal was the stuffed mushrooms. When they arrived I realized the stuffing contained crab (nothing on menu mentioned this). I told waitress we don't eat shellfish, so she returned them to the kitchen. No offer to replace with an alternative. After meal the girl who checked us out asked if all was good. We mentioned the mushrooms. She made no offer to remove the item from our ticket. So, Joe, you got your money for the mushrooms, but you've lost this family of customers. And you get bad reviews. Let's start with the good first. Our server was a very sweet young lady who sat us promptly and then just as promptly got our drinks and took our order. She was shy and uncertain but will someday make a wonderful server as long as customers don't crush her spirit before she's gained some confidence. Now for the food: it was ok. What does the commercial about that say? Do you want just 'ok'? The bread basket was 'ok'. It was like we had stepped back in time and returned to school. They tasted just like the cafeteria rolls. some garlic and Parmesan on them. Not bad but just ok. We got an order of calamari, which turned out to be the best things we had. We had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmigiana. The only way to describe them is bland. The red gravy tasted of only tomato paste. The food felt like I was eating out of the frozen italian dishes at The grocery store. I had Veal Marsala which was very runny served over spaghetti noodles. The veal was rubbery and chewy not tender. Mushroom straight from a can. My wife had Chicken Alfredo. Precooked packaged chicken and runny Alfredo Sauce. I also got a side of spaghetti and meatballs. Got my dinner to go from Joe's last night. I got the garden salad with ranch and spaghetti and meatballs. It was so good, I scarfed it down, barely leaving any leftover. They served their salad already tossed in the dressing. This is unusual for take away, as most people like the dressing on the side to keep the lettuce crisp. I prefer it tossed because I love salad dressing soggy lettuce. Theirs was perfect. Tasty ranch, too. The spaghetti sauce tasted good, not spicy and not sweet. And there was plenty of it which was a great way to enjoy the three dinner rolls: sopping up the sauce. The meatballs also tasted great. Again, not spicy, but flavorful. Two were served and that was just enough. (I actually did have a few bites of meatball leftover for breakfast.) I'd return here next time I'm in Big Spring. read more

I tried this little spot while visiting my significant other. Ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo to go, chicken was an option, but I opted for meatless; two garlic knots were included, possibly homemade. Oh where to start.... I do not leave reviews and this restaurant made me want to warn others. For starters, we got a waitress with hickies on her neck (plural). Then when I ordered a salad, I asked for balsamic vinaigrette and she said that they didn't have it so I got a salad with house vinegar which turned out to be cocktail sauce. However, later when my date ordered oil and vintages for the bread they all of a sudden had it. Then when we got our food we were highly disappointed. I ordered chicken parm and he got chicken Marsala. The chicken was freezer burned, mine had can tomato sauce for marinara and then his was very watery and tasted more like chicken noodle soup. Also the noodles tasted very vinegary as well. After all that I wanted to to try their tiramisu but our waitress was missing in action for 20 min and the others looked at us and ignored us, then she told us our check was up front. I would like to mention as well that the place was practically empty. We got the tiramisu anyway and that is honestly the only reason they got even a star. That was the only good part of our meal.
