First time eating at Joes. Our food was delicious. I had the Lasagna and my wife had the Eggplant Parmigiana.....the home made marinara with the mozzarella cheese sticks was very tasty. The service was very good, waiter checked on us a few times. The ambiance is texan-italian decor. Men's bathroom was very clean. Plenty of parking up front. Driving on TX-36 south of Caldwell, the restaurant does not have a flashy standalone building and inside is a "gem". We plan to make this place a regular stop when passing thru on our way and back from Houston. read more

Old fashioned Italian restaurant vibe. Very clean. Chairs not terribly comfy. Great Italian food. The house Italian salad dressing is good. Like they took their marinara sauce and added Italian to it. Had a bit of a Russian dressing flavor. Their bread is house made and yummy. Portions are large. So good! We came out tonight for the first time and had the fried cheese as an appetizer for pizza. We loved the rolls and the fried cheese was the best we've ever had- exactly like it should be...hot and cheesy! We had the margarita and supreme pizza- crust is perfect and the ratio of ingredients was amazing, very fresh and delicious. We said to one another "we found the spot" lol. Excellent place to grab a bite to eat. Wasn't expecting much from a former Pizza Hut looking building but the food is really good, reasonably priced and the staff is top notch. read more

We ate at Joe's several times during our 6 week stay in Caldwell. We tried several different items on the menu and all were delicious. The warm dinner rolls with olive oil pesto were amazing! Even better than the food was the service. Adriana did a great job! Very attentive and friendly. read more

First of all, as we parked, a young lady came running out the door to a car that had just loaded up and was preparing to leave. My first thought- oh no someone didn't pay! How wrong I was. Kind Arianna, was simply making sure the folks got their credit card back after they left it at checkout. A+ in my book. Then she moved to our truck- I walk with a walker. She helped me from the truck and even closed the door for me as my husband was moving our vehicle to better fit the parking spot. We chatted on the way inside- what a wonderful place they've made. Very traditional Italian neighborhood spot with red checkered cloths and candles on the tables. Then the smell. Someone here can COOK. There was bread baking, sauce simmering and an oven busy filling the air. Hungry before we sat down!There were four in our group. We all ordered different entrees. The pizza was superb. The chicken Parmesan huge and done to perfection. My husband got the chicken and shrimp Murphy. He loves spicy. It did not disappoint. My chicken piccata was excellent We had an appetizer that was focaccia bread with tomato, spices and cheeses. To die for. Even the side salads were delicious. Their house Italian dressing is amazing. Tangy and perfect on the fresh greens. We cannot wait to go back. It may be Valentine's Day but we'll get there! Thank you Arianna for one of our best dinners in a long time. The service is great and the owner Joe is a very nice gentleman who will check on you and make sure everything goes well. Well, this place has been open a couple of years, and I've eaten here 4 or 5 times, always intending to write a review. Finally, I'm going to accomplish that task, writing a review that is probably too long, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Joe's is an awesome place for homecooked Italian cuisine, if I may say so myself, not being of Italian heritage, but having loved Italian food for many years. It is a family-owned small restaurant on Hwy. 36, located just outside of Caldwell proper. I have never been disappointed with any food I've had from there. Being a small business in a rural town, I always fear for them, as the economy hasn't exactly been kind to small businesses like Joe's. I'll tell you about my most recent experience there, a lunch date with my best friend in January of 2026. In a nutshell, the place is small but clean, has excellent quality food plus outstanding customer service. We arrived at 11:30, were promptly greeted, and told to choose wherever we'd like for seating. Then the waiter (who maybe was the owner or part of his family?) came and got our drink orders. When he brought the drinks to our table, he also brought their famous homemade rolls, which are large and delicious. We ordered: I got the eggplant parmigiana (yep, I'm one of the crazies who likes eggplant!) and my friend ordered the chicken cacciatore. Before we could finish the salad that came with our meals, the food was brought to our table. The serving size of both our orders would satisfy even the hungriest diner. I wish I had taken a picture. Both of us got to-go boxes with enough left over for supper. The customer service was outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive, but not overbearing. To close, I highly recommend this Italian eatery for its authentic Italian dishes and it's excellent customer service. read more

So the much anticipated wait for Joe's to open was well worth it!! This is our second time here, the first time we met friends for dinner and each had a different pasta dish, eat was amazing, the Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Piccata, and our friends each has one of the shrimp dishes, and each was amazing! As we left we noticed a lot of the tables eating pizza and they looked amazing. So, needless to say my son brought me here for Father's Day late lunch/early dinner... I order a small (big enough for two-three people) Hawaiian pizza, absolutely amazing, closest thing to a NYC pizza that I've had outside of the city, love the crust and fresh ingredients. My sone's calzone was huge and amazing... highly recommend each! Can't wait to come back and try something new. Lots of word of mouth in our little town about how eveyone is loving our new Joe's!! Staff is super too, don't judge it by the drive by, come on in, clean and unique! read more
