I told him, yes but all those times I merely asked when will the bags arrived. He didn't see me getting or carrying all those tote bag. I was embarrassed when he said those words not only infront of my wife but all those people behind us who heard him. It seems he discriminate me. I'm sure some of those people behind us came many times for the bag. But why he single me out especially infront of those people. I asked the guy at the register who is that person manned the line and he said it's their boss. I am very unhappy customer

A lovely grocery store!…read more Trader Joes offers a wide variety of produce, meats, dairy, premade and frozen meals, snacks, and drinks. The have a nice cheese selection which make for great charcuterie boards. All their Trader Joe's branded items are great, but their produce is often lacking. I was looking for some eggplants but they were super soft and already too wrinkled to buy. I also tried to buy some heirloom tomatoes but their Best Buy date was nearly a week before the date I came shopping and were all squishy. This location is horrifically crowded. No matter the time of day, it is super busy and you can barely walk down the aisles. Everyone is bumping into each other and walking the wrong direction, making the shopping experience really miserable. I would love to walk around the store and take time to browse but I cannot bear to stay in there longer than a few minutes because I don't want to get bumped into. The parking experience is similar. There is never any parking and you'll need to circle the lot for probably 10 minutes before you find a space. Regardless, the store is pretty organized and the shelves are well-stocked. I've had mixed experiences with the staff. The majority of the time, the crew members really encapsulate the friendly and kind-hearted nature that Trader Joe's employees are known for. However, my most recent visit was unfortunately different. When asking for my ID for an alcohol purchase, I wasn't even asked. The cashier, without even looking up from bagging very curtly said, "give me your ID." Her demeanor was not welcoming and rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I would recommend those to come here only if they need something in particular and if you have the whole day to spend looking for parking and crawling around the store.

Classy grocer!…read more O'Brien's Market is definitely a high-end local grocery store. They offer a wide variety of "typical" grocery store items as well as some more artisanal products as well. They have a nice bakery, hot food section, deli, salad bar, wine bar, and meat/fish counter. There is a huge gourmet cheese selection - literally any cheese you may want (cow's milk, goat, sheep) from nearly any country, they seem to have it! They often offer samples (if I remember correctly, if you want to try a particular cheese, they will give you a sample of it)! There are soups, sandwiches, salads, and other hot foods like mac n cheese. The quality of the meats is great! Everything is very fresh and well-maintained. The produce is very fresh too! Although many of these products are higher-priced, their other grocery items (i.e. canned/boxed/bottled/frozen foods) are much surprisingly cheaper than other grocery stores. The store is consistently clean and organized. The store hasn't been updated/remodeled but it still has a timeless design that looks very neat. The staff members are very friendly and will quickly help you whenever needed. The store is never busy and you will rarely have to wait in line. I definitely recommend shopping at O'Brien's Market and will be back!

I highly recommend this store for anyone trying to get the most bang for their buck. The prices are…read moreconsistently competitive, so much so that I consistently go out my way to shop here every month. A few reasons why I'd recommend shopping here is because the selection is excellent--I frequently discover new items that I end up enjoying. The store is well-maintained and exceptionally clean, and the staff is consistently helpful and courteous. One of the most convenient features is that the store is open 24 hours. Visiting late at night (around 11 PM to 2 AM) is particularly ideal, as the store is being restocked, it is less crowded, and there are minimal wait times at checkout. If you're someone like me with a not-so-convenient work schedule this place is a life saver! Although the layout can be somewhat confusing, the prices are generally lower than those at other grocery stores in the surrounding cities. It is an excellent place to purchase meat, fresh fruits and veggies, pantry items and frozen foods. The prices for dog/cat food and cat litter are UNBEATABLE!

Winco on Plaza Parkway, Modesto is the grocery store where I have been doing most of my shopping…read morefor years, but something has happened within the last few months that has downgraded what used to be a good shopping experience. The deli counter no longer slices any deli meats to order. Everything now is prepackaged and in predetermined amounts. Some items are not available at all. The checkout lines can be extremely long so, I often used the self checkout, but now the staff has been instructed to count your items and if you have more than 15 items then you are banished to stand in the regular checkout line where there are not enough cashiers. These lines can have 6 or 7 full grocery carts in front of you and where as I only have 16 items. Also, you are not allowed to buy a turkey or ham at self checkout or you will be told to go stand in a line. This is a new change and makes it very inconvenient for the customer. Today, they blocked the store entrance with shopping carts placed sideways with a traffic cone In front. I asked an employee where I could get a cart and was told to remove one from entrance and to move the cone. These carts were in sideways Inbetween the automatic doors and not easy to take apart and not only that, but aren't I the customer? The employee seemed to think I worked there and made no attempt to help me. I then asked if I could come in through the entrance and she told me " No, that's why I blocked the entrance." Very poor customer service and it's a shame because both my husband and I used to enjoy shopping here.

Though they are not as big as Costco or Sam's Club, they do have the items that hubby and I typically needs when we come by here. A bit unsanitary and noncompetitive prices…read more My dad and I came to check out US Foods CHEF'STORE to compare it to the other nearby bulk foods stores like Costco and Smart & Final. I was unimpressed by this one. As soon as you enter this store, you are met with a very unpleasant, almost rancid, smell. I couldn't quite place my finger on what the smell was, but it was definitely not something you want to smell when you enter a place that sells food. We checked out the produce and meat sections first. The fruits and vegetables seemed fresh. The meat section, however, was a bit concerning. All of the plastic bins where the large cuts of meat were stored were filled with meat juices. Although the refrigerated section was cold, I was still a little concerned about the sanitation. Unless you are truly buying in bulk for a restaurant or event setting, the prices are very comparable, if not more expensive, than other grocery stores like WinCo. The smaller bag of potatoes, for example, was significantly more expensive than the same size bag at Costco. The giant bag of potatoes though, was very cheap in comparison. They definitely have a great variety of items that your typical grocery won't carry though. A lot of the items are unique. The sheer amount of drink/cafe syrups was astounding. They have every single thing you may need for a restaurant from take-out containers to sauce and jelly packets. I am not familiar with the pricing of these items, but this seems like a convenient place to buy them.
