This was an AWESOME pick for a birthday dinner during our trip. Despite it being a pizzeria we did actually order pizza on this occasion. We started with their Super Cheesy Bread which was more or less garlic bread on their pizza crust. It was excellent and the crust made me know that their pizzas definitely have excellent crust. For my main course I tried their Fire Buffalo Chicken Wings. I would say these are in my top 5 liat of best wings I've had in the country. Awesome sauce, the wings were cooked perfectly, and were a good size. Not to be forgotten os their bleu cheese dip which was house made and as good as I've ever had. My wife enjoyed her manicotti noting the sauce in particular was delicious. The restaurant looked awesome with great decor everywhere we looked. While visiting Fairhope, we went to Ravenite for dinner on a Friday night. The atmosphere was great - relaxed bar vibes with live music and sports games on the TVs. The staff was friendly and the service was efficient. From the starters, we ordered the mozzarella sticks, and they were a great start to the meal. Fried and cheesy - exactly how I like them. We ordered the Ravenite Deluxe with sausage, pepperoni, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms. The pizza was full of toppings and flavorful. If I am ever in Fairhope again and craving pizza or need a place to watch the game, I will definitely be back to explore the menu and enjoy the vibes. read more

We stopped into The Ravenite Pizzeria after walking around town looking at the holiday lights. Fairhope itself is a really nice little town and this spot fit the evening perfectly. The restaurant was very busy, but we were seated quickly, which was appreciated. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, with a good selection of appetizers. We landed on the cheeseburger pizza and it was a solid choice and very satisfying after being out in the cold. Our server was clearly juggling a lot of tables but worked as fast as she could and kept things moving. I did make the mistake of wearing Indiana University gear in Alabama territory, which earned me a friendly comment from one older gentleman, but all in good fun. Neat spot in downtown Fairhope with a vast menu. Our family shared the Greek salad and medium pizza. Salad dressing was really good but wasn't aware it came with black & green olives. Fantastic. The wide and I headed over around 8:30 to get a late bite. We weren't too hungry so we decided to share a salad and a pizza. First of all, they have lots of great looking appetizers, included mozzarella sticks, fried peppers, fried green beans, cheese fries, etc.. Also, salads, pasta, calzones, Stromboli, and sandwiches. We were there for pizza. We started with a Caesar Salad, and I asked for extra dressing. The extra was not needed, and the dressing is delicious, so we saved it as a dip for our crust. There are lots of pizza choices and some of them have different level, ie.... The Greek pizza, deluxe Greek and supreme Greek. I believe 4 different sizes. We went with the Deluxe Greek pizza which came with a great red sauce, sausage, feta cheese and red onions. The feta was not overpowering and the crust was amazing. None of the flavors was singularly overpowering, so they came together really well. Very good pizza. They have live music throughout the week and great music on the night we were there. Since there was only two of us, we were seated immediately, even though the place was somewhat crowded. We split a pizza and a side salad. The interior was very loud and felt a bit chaotic -- even for a casual pizza spot. The pickup area was cramped, with a mix of confused customers and staff all trying to share the same small space. We had the pulled pork Hawaiian and it was amazing. My only suggestion is maybe candied jalapenos? As far as I'm concerned this is the best pizza in Fairhope. Crust was crisp and fluffy, ingredients were fresh, it did not fall apart and it wasn't greasy. Ranch and blue cheese were on point. Our bartender Chris was a character and made for a good experience. The place was a lot smaller than I thought but it was comfy and they have plenty of entertainment if need be. Ravenite has been my go-to for pizza for years! The Chicken Pesto Plus is our favorite. I ordered a Philly cheese and it was thick, well-seasoned and delicious. Many may assume a great New York-style pizzeria (and purveyor of calzones, Stromboli, hoagies, etc) featuring a mural of the 1990s NYC skyline is not to be found anywhere in Alabama, but they will probably change their minds upon doing what I did. I stopped in with a colleague one night when we had just arrived in the Fairhope area for a tech conference. But it wasn't an ordinary drop-by. My colleague said, "They're going to hate us." It was 30 minutes or so before their 10 PM closing, after all. But the two employees there politely assured us it wasn't too late. One disappeared and proceeded to whip up some solid Monterey and cheddar-topped cheese fries, but it was the combination pizza called The Special that was the absolute knockout. Even the crust. This pie is a garlic-lover's and meat-lover's delight. Chris, who seemed to be the manager on duty, regaled us with his stories of his favorite restaurants in my hometown, New Orleans. This gent definitely knows food! And so does Ravenite! Lastly, I asked him if their name came from their proximity to the cemetery I'd seen. It's actually a tongue-in-cheek reference, Chris told me, to The Ravenite restaurant in New York City where Giuliani had wiretapped mafia don John Gotti of the Gambino family. Upon entering the building the most amazing singer *Kat Deal was playing music. Truly an exceptional talent. Truly blown away by her voice. The ambiance of the place was great. Very stylish, clean, and welcoming. The service provided was prompt and straightforward. The bartender gave us our drinks, gave us appropriate amount of time to review the menu, and then took our order.
