Ciao Darlings! It was complete happenstance that Your Host stumbled upon this place after having completed a cycling event in Oceanport. Pizza was on the mind and thinking I'd simply stop by at a pizza place en route home, I caught a glimpse of the joint out of the corner of my eye at the last second, and missed the turn off of Route 71 but eventually turned around and moved forward with the pursuit. Darlings, it wound up being a stroke of good fortune! Being Your Host's first visit here, he can only speak of the pizza, which is fantastic, and the epitome of what perfect pizza should be. While not thin crust, it's traditional style (at least in these here parts) pizza that has that slight crisp factor in the crust, which Your Host loves, loves, loves. Jonathan might be in this camp also (we'll have to ask). For today, it was a plain (cheese) slice and a slice of sausage. Dios Mio they were tasty and sublime! Not a bad way to transgress against any diet one might be following. It was okay in Your Host's case because he pedaled 46.37 miles...climbed 1,175'...burned 1,495 calories (no doubt negated thanks to lunch here). Their menu also contains a plethora of other specialties, sandwiches, etc. If there are other Yelpers or Yelpettes who can elaborate, please feel free to chime in here. Your Host certainly won't mind. One note darlings is that this is a simple, no frills pizza shop, so don't expect much when it comes to atmosphere. There's a spot in the front to sit and eat and some tables in the back. Your Host found the staff pleasant and polite, and appreciative of the positive feedback from yours truly. Apparently, the food is not that great, but ppl do come in. Unfortunately, I found one man who works at the front, works register & also cooks (not part of the team that works in the back) is not so nice. I was there when an outside delivery person came to pick up her order.. and he raised his voice, badgering her, asking her was she taking photos! What was she doing?!! And to not to take any photos for public distribution. She was texting her customer on her App about the food being delayed!!! It bordered on angered harassment. Absolutely love this pizzeria! My family was in town last week, and we ordered food from here at least 4 times. It was delicious. The antipasto, white pizza, classic margarita pizza, and garlic knots on the first day and I was hooked. I've tried the Andy Pettitte, Cheese Steak, Derek Jeter, and artichoke franchise. Literally everything we tried made me want to go back. Living out west , we don't have a place this good near us, this was a pleasure, we'll be back. read more

They bake the bread onsite! The sandwich was so much better than what you'd expect from any pizza restaurant, the freshness of the bread is something special - Joe's Pizzeria is definitely worth traveling to from a distance. Their pizza is excellent as well, my personal favorite is their deep dish pepperoni and sausage. I'm so glad we discovered this spot, what a gem! This was the worst most disgusting food I've ever eaten in New Jersey. I ordered a meatball Parmesan hero, a shrimp Parmesan hero, three specialty slices, and mozzarella sticks which was all garbage. The owner would not accommodate me and was very rude to me when I called and explained that all of the food with ice cold and mozzarella sticks were hard and disgusting the meatballs were grotesque and the shrimp Parm hero my son laughed at saying this is the worst food we ever ordered. My experience at Joe's Pizzeria was quite pleasant! The exterior doesn't look the nicest, but it turned out to be fairly nice place. The interior is a bit dark and there is limited seating, but I was able to sit at a large table. One major downside to the interior is that you can see right inside the kitchen if you go near the bathroom. My pizza was quite good, and I did not have any problems with the meal. The menu has a wide variety of options including a kid's menu. I wouldn't recommend coming here with a large group, as there might not be room. However, if you're looking to have a quick meal somewhere this is a good place to go! read more

I just left Joes with my favorite thing that they make, grilled chicken sandwich on garlic knot bread with mozzarella, tomato in pesto sauce. When I got home and opened the bag I saw that it was literally half of what the sandwich used to be. Still charged me the same price. It looked as if they cut the garlic bread in half and gave me half of a sandwich. Pitiful!!!! I will no longer be going there. read more

Awful. I should have known after I drove around the back and saw disgusting garbage bags and filth coming from the back door. My fault. I still went in. The chicken parm was gross. I even went to neighboring restaurants and ordered chicken parm (Giannis and fredricos) just to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. I wasn't. I was sick for two days due to this poor excuse for a sandwich. Yet, I tried again. One large pizza and the Andy Pettitte (crispy prosciutto, lettuce, tomato, pesto and fresh mozzarella). Nothing fresh about this. Great name for a sandwich. Bad sandwich though. Andy would be upset. The pizza was not good (although not the worst I ever had). One last chance. I ordered baked ziti and manicotti. No kick to it. Cheese was just not that good. If you can get over the delivery guy staring at you like he never a saw a person and the fact that the counterperson doesn't understand a coupon, this meal Was average at best. Hence the two stars. Best Vodka sauce on the planet! So anything with that is a winner! Antipasto salad never disappoints! Oh and the paninis.... yum! We have been getting food from the WLB location for years. Food is always good and the people are always decent. In the past the staff while serving very good food was always curt and aloof. Recently though a young girl assisted who improved the customer service and customer experience with a much friendlier attitude. It is tiny but they set up about three cute tables inside that are decent considering it is so small. They are almost a nook of sorts.... Great food. Small but great for a quick bite. I'm a regular - Joe's is a good place to go when you want good pizza or other Italian food, and I've been very happy with their deliveries. Service is quick, so it works great for me on my lunch hour when I can go there. They'd get 5 stars, but their delivery is SO slow. I've waited over an hour for 1 pie the past 3 times. I live 7 minutes away. Food is a solid b+, though.
