I have been waiting awhile to offer some feedback on Joey. The reason I've waited is because I wanted to make sure the work he did for my apartments and my home was done correctly and to perfection because I am a very meticulous person. Before I get into detail as to what all Joey helped me with, I would like to say that it is SO HARD to find someone in this profession who is polite, does the work to what you want (a little mind reading (lol)), and do it well. Joey embodies all of those qualities!!! I called several handymen on YELP in February. I felt comfortable in hiring Joey after speaking to others who called or didn't even return my call. The first job was at my apartments. I wanted to see how he worked before I would consider asking him to come to my house for other repairs. After the initial call, I cannot say I was that happy because he didn't really solve my problem and he billed me for an hour. His first hour is high. To make a long story short, after several other bids, I ended up consulting with Joey again and he was able to come back and do an amazing job and repaired my decks! I even received unsolicited comments from my tenants on how polite and professional and how hard he was working on the decks. I would ask my tenants to help me keep track of his time (like Ronald Reagan says, "trust but verify") and sure enough, Joey does not pad his time. He is very honest. When I felt comfortable with him, I asked him to come to my house. OMG, if I could afford him, I would literally have Joey here to help me with this and that all the time. He is THAT GOOD. The best Handyman in the business! His quality of work is unmatched. I had to remove an old wall AC/Heater unit for which he had to repair, patch, and paint the walls both inside & out. He was meticulous in ensuring that the framing matched the original. Joey patched the outside, re-stuccoed & painted to match. You cannot tell there was a 2X3 foot hole on the wall! Then against the same wall, inside, he did the same; patched the inside, dry wall, textured, & painted to match. Lastly, Joey installed 3 shelves into an existing wall unit I had built 5 years ago. He made it look like it was built with the original unit, extending out to the same inside wall he patched. Beautiful work and great attention to detail. I'm so glad I found Joey and Mike on Yelp. I've had them over twice now and I have no regrets. They are kind, knowledgeable, fair, great communicators, and worth every penny.
