This is a complete Racket. We called this 800 number and supposedly joey answers the phone and gives a quote and then he sends a text to respond to and give the address to meet him for cutting off lock . The text came from a different number and from Alcatraz locksmith in Chula Vista. We meet them at the storage unit and it take quite along time to have the lock cut off. After done. My husband says. 95 bucks right ? ( as we were quoted by " Joey " and he said " no it will be 150 " Apparently this " company " joeys locksmith " is just a scam !' A bait and switch !! Answering the 800 # and farming the work out to local locksmiths . We told this guy from Alcatraz that must had been quoted 95. He said that must have been someone else . Like the guy Joey you called. !! I called Joey back and he says " You said you were going to text back and you didn't " you must have reached out to another company " absolute scam !! I want everyone to beware of this scam. Joes said to me that he has his own little business in Chula Vista. If you look on the website. States that they serve all all over the state. We find it hard to believe that he can travel all over the state himself !!! Beware !! Don't call this 800 #. It's a scam !! I had Joey's Locksmith fix my store's security door lock in Oct 2018. I had another door that needed to be fixed in February so I called him back. He sent someone else out. This person literally poked around at the door for almost 2 hours before he determined he couldn't fix it and needed to order a part. It should not take 2 hours to determine a lock cannot be fixed. I was charged for every minute he played around with the lock. When he came back a few days later he didn't have the correct part and had to order something else. He had to come back a third time to fix the lock. The cost was $600 to fix the lock. About a week ago the first lock he fixed broke again. I didn't really want to deal with him again after the last time, but since I had paid him to fix the lock the first time I thought he should repair his fix that didn't last. I called on a Thursday morning and whoever answered the phone said someone would call me right back. No one did. Same thing on Friday. I called on Monday and was told he had been out town and someone else was looking over the shop for him. I was then told that the work is only guaranteed for 90 days and I'd have to pay to have it fixed again. I asked where on the invoice it said that the work was only guaranteed for 90 days or when I was advised of this before having the work done. No response to that. Needless to say I found someone else to fix the lock and will never call Joey's Locksmith again for anything. Remove review read more

I can't say enough about how great Joey's service is. He gave me quote before he made the trip to my house. I called late afternoon on Friday and he was at my house at 7:20 Saturday morning. He rekeyed five locks in about 45 minutes. He took apart the locks entirely and cleaned them, they worked so much smoother after he was done with them. He gave me a few quick tips if the locks ever felt sticky. But best of all, he's just nice and chill. I've had various people perform tasks around my house, that may have been perfectly nice, but would drive me up a wall. I don't need every little minuscule detail explained to me in a mind numbing, long-winded explanation. And if you're female, you needed worry about this perfect gentleman at all. I tried installing a new deadbolt for my front door without the proper tools and ended up having a long stripped screw lodged 3/4 of the way in my door frame. Joey arrived promptly on a Sunday morning no less. He took out the stripped screw and installed the new deadbolt using his arsenal of tools. He even installed the side door deadbolt and re-keyed the locks so only one set of keys needed. Joey was professional and friendly & even shared some tips on installation.
