I went with my friend who is a chef, and we sat down to order a number of dishes we had seen pictures of. We got the squash, prawn toast, cabbage, feature pasta, and bone-in pork ribeye. The squash, thinly sliced and fried, was wonderfully sweet, savory, and crunchy. The prawn toast was impeccable; I was really impressed that they managed to use strong ingredients in subtle ways, like the chili oil and yuzu. Everything else fell a bit flat. The concept of the cabbage skewers was excellent, maximizing the char. But it felt like it was smothered in a too-sweet teriyaki sauce. The feature pasta was okay, the combo of the nduja and Gorgonzola made it pretty rich and heavy. There was some lemon to balance it out, but it didn't feel totally cohesive. And the pork ribeye had an excellent cook, but the flavors were not very memorable. With a beer and a cocktail, the total bill came out to about $150.
