This would also be a good time to point out that there were several 1-Star reviews for this establishment. When this happens, I go to those profiles and see what's up. The first one I checked only had one review, which tells me it was a personal issue related to someone on the staff. Another one had mostly 1-Star reviews. These are just miserable people. In fact, if you're getting to know someone and want to know more about their character, find their reviews somewhere online. If they're mostly negative, stay away! If they're all positive, also be wary--something is amiss and while someone like that might seem kind, they are far from real. If someone is mostly positive to help businesses but also fair and balanced, that is a real one. ;) Anyway, my point about the Yelp rating for Giovanni's is that it's unfair. The pizza is very solid! It's not the best pizza I had in my life but it's in the upper echelon. I got my pizza to go because it was my first visit. I learned this long ago. It was so hard deciding what to select from the menu. If I hadn't just had shrimp, the shrimp scampi would have been what I ordered. Then there was a lasagna with a bechamel sauce I really wanted. But the pizza won out. My waitress talked me into the salad I was debating, too. The salad was Dolce Crostata. It has mixed lettuce, goat cheese, pancetta, candied pecans and golden raisins.
