He also made recommations as to where I could get a very specific leather shoe string for one of the vintage shoes. Dancers: he can suede your street shoes for dance as well! Excellent customer service, very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

When I dropped off my Chelsea Doc Marten boots, he mentioned there would likely be glue residue because of the type of boot, which I understood and was okay with. I figured some messiness comes with repair work. A few days later I picked them up and was honestly surprised at the cost for a fairly simple glue repair. For the price, I expected at least a little care in presentation -- not a full polish, but maybe a quick clean or some attention to detail. Instead, the boots looked almost exactly the same as when I dropped them off, and there really wasn't any visible repair work besides being told they were fixed. About a month later, I wore them for the first time since repaired and by the time I got from my house to my office, the entire sole had already come off again. After paying around $50 and not loving the overall experience, I didn't feel confident going back for another repair. I ended up buying shoe glue on Amazon, fixing them myself, and haven't had a single issue since. This was my first experience getting shoes repaired, so maybe my expectations were off, but for the cost and overall experience, it just wasn't worth it for me.

Decided to get rubber heels for one pair ($60 vs $50 for the original sole material) and the original Birk soles for the other ($130). I also asked about another pair of espadrilles, which they said they could glue (I think $50?) or I could buy the glue myself for $15 (that they sell) and do it because it's a pretty easy fix. Appreciated the honesty! I decided to buy the glue. Picked up the Birks in a week and they looked great. Thanks again! I'm sure we'll be back.

Although the one I read, think it was from Yelp- wasn't as current- but, when I made a post on my socials for recommendations- plenty of my friends in the moto community spoke highly of BSR. I didn't wanna buy a new pair. Not that cost was an issue. It's just that would mean I would need to literally break into new leather. And I didn't wanna do that! When I walked in and met Erica- she was amazing! We chatted for a bit and she showed me two types of motorcycle soles. She had the Vibram catalog and I preferred a sole with some meaty tread. I dropped off my summer motorcycle boots and wasn't in a rush for pick up, since I had a pair of winter insulated motorcycle boots at home. The price was very reasonable- about $100?, if I remember correctly. Erica sent me a text the day before the suggested pick up date, and asked if this other date would work. Which was fine with me, for the lil delay. Because like I said, I wasn't in a rush. But, the fact she communicated with me in advance and apologized for the delay, goes a long way. Definitely satisfied with the service. If memory serves me right- I saw a car cover at the shop that they were walking on. And I could swear, they even fix back pack zippers? When I tried again in the afternoon, he gave me an address and said his sister is helping him and will meet with me. Went to the home and the man introduced himself as Don so I was so confused. He said a business partner is sending him leadals, maybe that is Don? The woman (Loan) was very sweet who did my alterations. Anyway, whoever I ended up being sent to was ok but it wasnt Don and cant find her listing to leave a review there. Leaving this here so others are aware they may be sent elsewhere instead of Don. The alterations for 2 jackets were ok. One jacket was perfect but the other was looser and not quite as tailored. Price was cheaper than standard so I was not too upset, you get what you pay for.

Most of the time, I drop off several pairs of shoes and they call me the next day and I pick up my shoes and I'm delighted with how they look and with the ridiculously low price of $2.50. Because I'm not ridiculously cheap, I've usually tipped just as if the price were much higher. Before I knew that you could drop off shoes, I would come in and sit in the chair and get educated on which shoes to buy, which ones not to buy, and how to take care of them in a very pleasant conversation. Because this isn't a fairy tale, I'll tell you that sometimes, no one would call after several days and when I called, I was told the shoes were ready to pick up. This happened often enough that I once made the mistake of simply going back after three days to pick up my shoes with out calling first. They were not done. Very annoying. The last time I went to pick up my shoes, I was surprised to find that they had taken the ridiculously low $2.50 and doubled it to $5. This is an interesting time to double prices. I dropped my shoes off there because it was so cheap and convenient. Now, I could just use the guy closer to home for $7 and save the time for $2. That said, the shoes looked like brand new when I got them back. That was money well spent. Nordstrom has been shining the same pair of Cole Haans for 5 years and someone asked if they were new a few months ago. If you already buy high quality shoes and use shoe trees, the next step is a regular trip to the shoe shine stand at Nordstrom.

I accepted the repair at the time even though all the holes in the perforated material were painted in. I just thought a seat repair can't always look perfect. But now, this ridiculous repair is getting worse day by day. Yes, business owner, you should stand behind your work and either fix this or screw me over. Your choice.
