I've been a loyal customer of this cobbler for years. Even though I no longer live in San Diego, I still make the drive from the OC because I trust him completely to handle all my boots, shoes, and handbags with expert care. Since I have slim legs, my boots often need adjustments in the calf, and I also struggle with oversized straps on my bum bags. He always customizes them flawlessly to fit me perfectly. His craftsmanship is exceptional, and he's worth every penny!

This place is awesome. They do such a great job. Any bag or pair of shoes I need to fix will always be done here!

I am so happy with the results of 4 pairs of shoes and a purse that I recently took to the shoe cobbler. i've been coming here for years and they just do an outstanding job. it's the only place I'll ever go to get all my shoes and purses fixed.

my uggs were stained almost black from using a bad waterproof spray, now they look good as new! good price too

Thank you again Humberto for doing amazing work on my shoes! He gave my Louboutins a makeover with red rubber soles so I don't slip.

My skyscraper red bottoms never looked better, thanks to Humberto! I scored some awesome Christian Louboutins at an amazing price that were in mint condition aside from the requisite paint coming off under the toe box! Gotta love consignment stores! Humberto is my go-to guy for shoe and handbag repair so rather than get them repainted the classic red, he suggested I get red rubber soles instead to help me prevent slipping and to give my shoes better grip. I agreed wholeheartedly as I figured the paint would just come off again the minute I walked in them, lol. It only took three days before I had them in my hot little hands again at a reasonable price. His work is always flawless and turnaround time is quick. Parking here can be a pain, so I usually park by Draft Republic. Come here for all of your cobbler needs. Humberto is the best!

Humberto is simply the best for orthotic lifts for orthopedic patients. Lifts are comfortable and great from a medical standpoint.

Professional service at a reasonable price. Had a few belts shortened here and picked it up the following week without issue.

I will likely try a business shop vs home shop next time. I called multiple times and arranged for a fitting to alter two jackets. First Don said he was available the next day and to call back. I did and arranged to stop by, kept asking for the address, and finally he gave it to me, but called back later and ask I stop by later that day. When I tried again in the afternoon, he gave me an address and said his sister is helping him and will meet with me. Went to the home and the man introduced himself as Don so I was so confused. He said a business partner is sending him leadals, maybe that is Don? The woman (Loan) was very sweet who did my alterations. Anyway, whoever I ended up being sent to was ok but it wasnt Don and cant find her listing to leave a review there. Leaving this here so others are aware they may be sent elsewhere instead of Don. The alterations for 2 jackets were ok. One jacket was perfect but the other was looser and not quite as tailored. Price was cheaper than standard so I was not too upset, you get what you pay for.

When I dropped off my Chelsea Doc Marten boots, he mentioned there would likely be glue residue because of the type of boot, which I understood and was okay with. I figured some messiness comes with repair work. A few days later I picked them up and was honestly surprised at the cost for a fairly simple glue repair. For the price, I expected at least a little care in presentation -- not a full polish, but maybe a quick clean or some attention to detail. Instead, the boots looked almost exactly the same as when I dropped them off, and there really wasn't any visible repair work besides being told they were fixed. About a month later, I wore them for the first time since repaired and by the time I got from my house to my office, the entire sole had already come off again. After paying around $50 and not loving the overall experience, I didn't feel confident going back for another repair. I ended up buying shoe glue on Amazon, fixing them myself, and haven't had a single issue since. This was my first experience getting shoes repaired, so maybe my expectations were off, but for the cost and overall experience, it just wasn't worth it for me.

I contacted another cobbler first, told to send photos, waited for callbacks, called them again and got vague answers about how delicate the leather was and how cleaning it could spread the stain... they said they'll think of ways on what to do and call me back and then never heard back again. Thankfully, I found Chito's Shoe Repair online and reached out by text with photos of my bag. Within 5 minutes, they responded and asked me to call. Jenny spoke with me personally and was incredibly patient, kind, and reassuring. She didn't make unrealistic promises, but she took the time to explain that she wouldn't fully know the outcome until she saw the bag in person. I was extremely stressed, and her honesty mixed with compassion immediately made me feel better. What truly amazed me was that even though the only time I could get there was after their hours, Jenny still accommodated me and allowed me to bring the bag in. That level of kindness and care is rare. When I arrived, she carefully inspected the bag and walked me through exactly what her cleaning process would be. She explained everything in detail and set realistic expectations while still making me feel hopeful. At that point, I honestly thought I may have ruined my bag permanently.. especially because in my panic, I had already tried a few things myself that probably made the stain worse. Two days later, I picked up my bag and it looked like NOTHING had ever happened. I genuinely could not believe it. The stain was gone, and my bag looked beautiful again. What stood out even more was how much Jenny genuinely cared about educating me. She taught me about leather care, explained how leathers react , and even gave me advice on a wallet project I was trying to fix myself. She wasn't trying to upsell me or push me to bring everything in for repair -- she actually wanted me to understand how to care for my own items. That says so much about her character and integrity. I also met her husband Chris, and together they are just wonderful people. Warm, knowledgeable, honest, and clearly passionate about what they do. I'm beyond grateful I found someone I can truly trust with my luxury pieces. Thank you again, Jenny and Chris, for saving my bag and for treating me with so much kindness throughout the entire process!
