For those who know me, you know that I DON'T WEAR MAKEUP. At all. I hate it. I gave up on makeup because no one ever has the right colors for my mocha choca lala yaya complexion. The only times I've had my face done was prom, a wedding, and a video shoot. I watched Jacks do a couple gals while I sipped on champagne in his studio. He was able to hold a conversation as he applied lashes with a steady hand. As it got closer to my appointment, I was comfortable because he answered my questions as he worked, kept my appointment time (even with others before and after me), and had pictures of people he'd worked on....fantastic looking people. Jacks travels frequently to work on men and women everywhere. Now I know why. By the time I got to his chair, he had the brushes clean, the lighting repositioned, and the colors to match my dress. I glanced at his counter and saw his name on the lipstick....he has his own line! He worked with the precision of a surgeon! I felt beautiful and was complimented all night. I didn't want to take it off! I'd seen his work before, but never anticipated that he could make ME look so. hot. (after all, this guy works on models). The makeup lasted all night- through dinner, dancing, and kisses. Even the lashes..those fantastic lashes! I can't wait to sit in that chair again!

I was taught at all three clothing department that even if it's close to closing time, you cannot tell customers they can't come in or rush them out. We can close the gate so no other customers come in, but if we still have customers in the store at that moment, we still help them. I'm still in shocked at the customer service I received on Monday, May 25th at The Cosmetic Store at the Edinburg Premium Outlet. I walked into the store around 8:48pm. (Yes, I'm fully aware that they close at 9pm but I also knew exactly what I needed in the store. Therefore, my visit to this store would've been a quick visit/purchase. I'm also certain they have security cameras so if my timing is incorrect, their security cameras can be proof) Immediately upon entering into the store, employee #1 (whom isn't pictured) huffed and said, "Ma'am we close in 5 minutes." (Keep in mind it's 8:48ish and No, she didn't even say hi or greet me when I walked in the store.) I looked at my watch and said, "Ok. I have time I just need to grab a mac product real quick." She just looked at me, rolled her eyes, and didn't even reply or say ok, but that's fine. Not even two minute later, employee #2 (whom is pictured) comes out from the back and says, "um ma'am we close in 5 minutes!" Rudely. This is wrong of me but I did take a deep breath, put the Mac Pro long foundation down, looked at her and said, "are you guys trying to kick me out? I heard her the first time when she said the store closes in five minutes." Lady in the video: "No, I'm not kicking you out but we close in five minutes and we get customers who shop after 9pm and keep us here past 9pm. So you need just hurry up and be out in 5 minutes" Me: "Wow, I'm baffled. As a customer you are making me feel as if I can't even shop here and I feel as if you're kicking me out." Lady in the video: "If I was kicking you out I wouldn't said get out! I just said for you to hurry up and be out in 5 minutes because we close in 5 minutes!" Me: "gosh, your alls customer service is horrible. Absolutely horrible! Not just horrible but rude. I just feel you're trying to kick me out so forget it." Lady in the video: "Im not kicking you out but you need to hurry up, you have 5 minutes." (Video provided.) Me: "Ok, but that was rude though. Ok. Very rude. And she was rude too. Forget it. Don't worry about it." While I was saying that, she proceeds to raise her voice to me, "to tell you that you had five minutes?" (Obviously She doesn't think by rudely telling me to hurry up and that I had five minutes was an issue.) I wish I was smarter and thought quicker so that I could record the whole conversation. But again, I'm sure they have video surveillances so the companies camera can vouch for our entire conversation. All in all, yes maybe I should've turned around and walked out when employee #1 told me I had 5 minutes. (Indicating for me to either 1.) hurry up or 2.) get our. But if you're in the retail field, I don't think this is considered good customer service. Anyhow, so if you happen to ever shop at this store, beware of this lady. Maybe bring her a whopper and a strawberry milk shake, it might just make her day slightly better. :) jk

I got their chai tea scented soap (I mean, I love drinking chai, so why not smell like it, too?). In my experience, a lot of handmade soaps tend to smell great at first, but then wear out pretty quickly. The original colors fade and the lather is meh. Not so with Get Lathered! The soap is a very pretty marbled color that lasts throughout the whole life of the bar. It smells like cinnamon-y, spice-y deliciousness every time I use it, with great big soapy bubbles. (Also: sorry, Environment.) I now know that Onyx is the better way to go. Not only are their products high-quality with 100% all-natural soy wax, but also they're cleaner for the air. I've given the 11 oz. wine bottle as housewarming gifts and Christmas presents, and I'm always told how awesome the candle's fragrance is. My mom even requested for more candles for her birthday. I was promptly greeted by Steph at the front door and treated to a drink before my facial. It was a one hour facial with a scrub, red light therapy and small extraction. I thoroughly enjoyed the Eminence products and their natural floral smells from start to finish. The entire process was very relaxing and I probably booked another visit for the new year. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing facial spot. They have a variety of other higher ticket items for those who have a better understanding of facials and skin care than I do :-)

From the heated bed and dark room, to the tingling exfoliation treatment, relaxing LED lights and more, it was a great experience. I especially liked the dermaplane treatment (gets all hairs and dead skin cells off your face with no down time) and LED red light, which I had on my face for 15 minutes. Fun fact: NASA uses LED red light to grow plants in outer space, so imagine how well that helps stimulate collagen on your face! This is a popular spot, so be prepared to book months in advance. They sell and use the Eminence organic skincare line, which is gentle and seems to have pure ingredients. I was given some samples for the road, as well as a hot tea, which was so sweet. Enjoy!

I had 7 bottles that i wanted to buy and there was no sign saying that there was a limit to begin with. For him to do that without a sign is ridicules . The store missed out on 200$ + in sales since each bottle was 30$. The rest of the staff was nice but because of his behavior i would not recommend shopping here .

So my ex and I each independently visited this store on Westfield in Broad Ripple, spoke to the owners about their products, and decided together to make the switch. Several things set American Shaman products apart, as I understand it, and there are likely more. These are the factors important to us. First, you know how much active ingredient is in the product. With an MLM product we had used prior to the Fresh Thyme brand, that wasn't the case. With the American Shaman Cloud tincture, each 30 ml bottle contains 300 mg CBD, and has a handy measuring dropper such that we can dose 0.5 ml in AM and PM for 1 ml/day. We know we are getting 10 mg/ml, that's 5 mg of CBD each morning and night. Second, their formulation is superior. The nanotechnology is more efficacious and enhances absorption of the active ingredient in your body. It comes in a ton of flavors! For my picky son, that's important. He likes the watermelon flavor. We put it in a little water in a glass, and he drinks it right down. A fourth feature is the price. The product we settled on gives us more than twice as much active per day compared to Plus +CBD oil spray AND is less expensive per bottle and per dose than either of the two previous products we used (including the MLM brand. Duh.) The husband and wife owners are passionate about what they do. They're very knowledgeable and are all about demystifying the product and educating their clientele. They encourage you to sample to zero in on the right product. We have since learned that this is a chain which bums me out only slightly. Their product selection is so much larger than other brands, it's no wonder.
