The pizza was classic New York-style with a thin, crispy crust and great flavor. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that authentic neighborhood pizzeria vibe that makes you feel right at home. I love Philly cheesesteaks, so while searching for a new pizza spot to try... seeing a Philly pizza on their online menu made my eyes sparkle. This is a small-ish pizza shop located right off Michigan. There are a few parking spots. I ordered a half Philly half supreme pizza with an order of the garlic bread. I didn't expect the garlic bread to be made on bread that has sesame seeds on it, but it was still yummy. The pizza was so good and is honestly competitively priced. This is my new favorite pizza spot. We went around 6 pm on a Friday and it was busy but we got a good sized table. The staff was really nice and the aesthetic of the restaurant was just you want in a classic pizza joint. The ceasar salad was delicious and unique. We got the classic cheese pizza with pepporoni 16 inches and the spicy swine pizza 14 inches. Both were amazing. Everything was freshly made. It's a small pizza place with a counter with four stools, 4-5 tables inside, and 4-5 umbrella tables outside. They have at least 4-5 pizza available for slices, handhelds, knots, and desserts. We tried cheese, upside down, and margarita slices and a cheesesteak (extra white American, no wiz). The slices were very good. The upside down is a thin crust tomato pie. We asked for a little more sauce on it from the start and it was delicious. But the standout was the steak. I haven't tried all of the slice options yet, but a cheese slice with pepperoni and sausage, the Bianca, and the vodka are my favorites! The pizza is always perfectly cooked and stands up to any toppings on it and doesn't bend! No soggy pizza here! It's a small place with a few tables inside, some counter seating, as well as an outdoor patio. Grabbing a slice doesn't take very long at all! The closest thing to true NYC style pizza in Orlando that I've had. On top of that, it's delicious too - not just "to style". I've had NYC pizza that fit the definition perfect - but was boring - this ain't that! The sauce is really bold and flavorful - the cheese is perfect - and the dough is thin and stiff but has a nice chew still. I always rate NYC style pizzas on their cheese slice - but once I knew that was good I got a Margherita and it blew me away! DEFINITELY worth the upgrade. The fresh garlic throughout was awesome - definitely real fresh garilc - not from a jar. The basil was fresh and vibrant. This is the best Margherita I've ever had in the NYC style. It's a no-frills place where you walk up to a basic counter, order from the menu over your head, and then sit down and they bring you your food. They even have a Mediterranean Blue paying homage to the previous Mediterranean restaurant the occupied the building. We ordered online delivery and it did not disappoint! The wings were cooked perfectly and the hot sauce and blue cheese were fresh and delicious! The white pizza was so tasty - it had the perfect amount of Ricotta on top. I think next time I will add on mushrooms or pepperoni but still delicious on its own. Omg!!! We have been wanting to come here for a bit. We finally were able to make it! The pizza from here is very delicious! We ordered the vodka pie and the garlic bread! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the bread! But even that was so delicious!the place itself was a bit small but cute! The vodka sauce was absolutely tasty. Ok ya'll so to be completely honest... Tik Tok brought me here and the social media recommendation did not disappoint! When I heard that there was a pizza shop that offers NY style pizza close to where I live in the SODO area ....I had to try it out! When first arriving, the restaurant was visible from the street with lit up signage guiding you to the shop. There was a few parking spaces in the front and much more in the back of the shop. Upon entering we were greeted almost immediately by the friendly folks at the counter. It wasn't busy on the night we went so our order was taken immediately. The person taking our order was very kind and patient with us. This was the first time we been, so we had a lot of questions and she gave us great recommendations. She told us her favorite order which was the Alla Vodka pizza with pepperoni, so of course we listened and went with the recommendation.. we also got the mozzarella plank and cheesy garlic bread as well. The food was delivered to our table fairly quickly and was nice and hot. The smell was TO DIE FOR and it tasted as good as it smelt. Everything was nice and cheesy.. just how I like it. The Alla Vodka pizza was soo flavorful and the added pepperoni was such a nice touch. The only thing I would point out was that the pizza texture itself was a bit floppy so when we lifted up the slice everything sorta just fell off of it. It would had been nice if it was a bit more crisp to be able to hold itself up. Overall, I thought that this was such a fantastic pizza shop. It is in a prime location and they offered a good variety of items on the menu. Oh and of course the folks there are awesome! While the overall experience was good, the only downside for me was the bathroom situation. In this cozy space, you have to step outside and around the building to access it. I'm not an Orlando native. So I didn't realize when I made the order at John and John's that I had committed to a 40-minute drive from where I was staying (i.e., Winter Garden). And I deeply regretted the decision to sort pizza restaurants by Rating instead of by Distance at like the 25-minute mark of my drive to get the food. But then I got to actually eat the "Upside Down" pizza, and the regret vanished pretty quickly. John and John's is reasonably priced NY-style pizza through and through. For the order, I had requested to split two 16-inch pizzas into four flavors (Upside Down and Margherita for one, and Pepperoni and Cheese for the second). My children loved the Cheese and Pepperoni as much as I enjoyed the Upside Down. I never got to try the Margherita. The leftovers were put aside for my cousin and his family, and right now, I kinda regret that I was thinking about other people instead of myself. There's a cash price and a card price. After hearing so many great reviews for this place I had to stop in and try it for myself. Admittedly, I was very sad when Mediterranean Blue closed as it was a favorite of mine but I'm always open to places becoming something new if it's as good as or better than what was there before. Unfortunately, John and John's is not it. We ordered ahead for pickup which was easy enough. Our pizza was ready fairly quickly, no complaints about the restaurant itself nor the staff. However, I will say the prices here are pretty high for basic New York style pizza so I was hoping it was going to be really good. As you can tell from the star rating, I was not impressed. This pizza taste wise is probably on par with Hungry Howie's. It was just ok and the ingredients didn't seem to be very elevated which I expected given the cost. Neither myself, nor my husband enjoyed our pizza. We normally always put leftover pizza in the fridge to eat later but this went straight to the garbage can. I will stick with other, better pizza establishments nearby (i.e. an amazing pizza shop basically next door) and won't be back. read more
