    The al fresco dining area
    Michael R.

This is my favorite pizza in the entire city. Usually I call ahead and get takeout but I have eaten in the restaurant as well and it was a very enjoyable experience with great service. On a nice evening it's great to sit outside and people watch added benefit is it's only 2 blocks to Lake Eola so you can walk off the calories. The thing that makes this pizza my favorite is that the crust is thin and it has the perfect amount of cheese on it. But the sauce is the best I have ever had. I normally like toppings on pizza but with Anthony's I want plain cheese so I can savor the perfection

I came here with one of my girlfriends for dinner because the restaurant we wanted to go had an hour wait and parking was impossible to find in the area, so we decided to go with Anthony's because of their private lot. We should've went elsewhere. The server was very nice and considerate, but the food was not good. My friend was feeling unwell because she hadn't eaten much that day, so asked for their soup of the day. The server brought it put within a few minutes, which was unexpectedly fast. She took one bite, then passed it to me to try. It tasted terrible and was cold even though it had just been brought out. (The server did take that off the bill). She also ordered the bruschetta, which was also all cold. I took a piece and the bread which should have just been toasted was cold like it just came out of the fridge, as well as the tomato and mozzarella. For myself, I ordered the mushroom truffle pasta. I ate it because I was hungry, but it was not sitting well as the night went on. It could be that I'm not used to eating pasta and maybe that's why my stomach was fighting digesting it, but who knows. There are better places to eat in Thornton Park, so I'll be skipping this restaurant in the future.

    Small pizza

Okay, firstly, not our first time here. The food here is really good. Service is always great. We stopped in and sat at the bar, very nice and quiet. I received their email that told me about their fall specials. A Thanksgiving Stromboli with turkey, stuffing, cranberry, and gravy.... That's right up my alley. So that is what I ordered, we also got a small pizza. The pizza was great, of course. The Stromboli was HUGE, and I expected it to be, it still can shock you when it comes out The Stromboli was everything you would think it was. Very good. Overall, we come here often and have always had a great time. Definitely check it out if you can.

    Buffalo Wings

Came here for brunch and ordered wings. Dont judge! So the wings were a great size and cooked really well. The buffalo was solid but I probably should've got them spicier The lemon pepper was amazing! Honestly, sitting outside and dinning was pretty fun. There was a TV too so we were able to watch sports

    Mushroom appetizer

My daughter and I visited Anthony's tonight, and it was quite the treat! We started with the cheese garlic knots, which were only $6.99 and absolutely delicious. I ordered the honey hot wings and a mushroom appetizer. The wings were some of the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked with great flavor. The mushroom appetizer was interesting? The seating was comfortable, the service was fast and attentive, and overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

My son and I had limited time to eat before a show, so I called in advance to see if we could place an order (or get a pizza started for us) before we arrived to sit down and eat. While they stated normally they don't, especially on a weekend, Savannah accommodated us. Not only was the pizza ready for us just a few moments after sitting down, but her service was impeccable. My son, a pizza connoisseur, believes this is a top 5 pizza in Central Florida, and though it was our first time trying it, I don't disagree at all. Thank you so much for the food and friendly service, Savannah.

Highly recommend if you're in the Thornton park area if you're craving some pizza!! It is as so good and the cheese was a perfect cheesy combination. Service also was great & friendly

    Garlic knots

This place has been consistent when it comes to food. Garlic knots are fresh and tasty. The sweet garlic topping not too greasy. The turn around was fast for the appetizer. Ordered the pizza, Hot Honey- pepperoni, sopraseta, mozzarella, red onions, with a drizzle of hot honey. Service was fast and friendly. Parking is a challenge especially on weekends. Place is clean.

Placed an online order for pickup; easy and simple. Went to pickup and the restaurant is cute and clean. The staff was nice except for one young lady behind the counter that seemed annoyed. The restaurant is walking distance from Lake Eola. Their pizza is delicious. My boss only buys pizza from them. He calls the the big pizza chains fake, and will only eat pizza from Anthony's. He said that is as close to Italian as you can get. My apologies for not taking pics of the piz

Chicken Palermo, meatball sliders, fried ravioli
    Cheryl W.

This was a perfect dinner spot before a Magic game! Since we were there during happy hour, we tried the meatball sliders and fried ravioli from the happy hour food menu. Both were excellent, and of course it's always a bonus to have food options on the happy hour menu for parties that include members who can't drink! We also had the Chicken Palermo which our server recommended. It was absolutely delicious-- very flavorful and thick sauce, pasta cooked to perfection, and juicy chicken throughout. Our server was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive without being overwhelming, and so thoughtful with the whole experience. We sat in the outdoor seating which was lovely (& covered to protect you from whatever Florida elements are present at the time you go). It had a casual yet nice vibe which we really enjoyed and reasonable prices for the quality of food and atmosphere. We will absolutely be back!

Really solid experience! It was my first time coming here and I definitely wasn't disappointed. We opted to sit inside because of the heat, but outside definitely seemed like it would be more enjoyable. Super generous portion and really good price. Service, admittedly, was good but almost...too attentive lol. It felt like they were checking on us too often, especially for as quiet as it was inside.

    Philly cheesesteak sub
    Shanice W.

Had brunch at Anthony's in Thornton Park and had a great experience! It was a slow morning, which made for excellent, attentive service. Ali, our bartender and waitress, was awesome--friendly and super helpful. We went for the bottomless mimosas at just $18 per person, which is a fantastic deal. To start, we had the ricotta meatballs--absolutely delicious! For entrees, we ordered the half chicken parmesan and Philly cheesesteak subs. While the Philly cheesesteak wasn't my favorite (just a personal preference--I wanted to try something new), the pasta salad it came with was incredible. So flavorful! Only downside is that parking can be a bit tricky in the area, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back. Definitely planning to return!

The thinnest place I've ever seen. Only room for two lines of people in the main area, one line for ordering, one line for picking up. Behind the counter was quite the operation. Pies being baked in one oven, being put on display, and then another oven jam packed with slices being warmed for the customer, along with their accompanying garlic knot. Every slice comes with a complimentary knot. I'm pretty sure I saw whole pizzas going out with eight included knots. The service was pretty good. Efficient, friendly enough workers. There was an aura of hurry up, what do you need, but with a line out the door literally all night, I do not blame them one bit. And the slice factory line got you in an out as quickly as it possible could. As for the slice itself, it was pretty ok. Good crust, foldable slice. Very cheesy, which is needed for most clientele who are in the middle of downtown in need of munchies. Slim toppings, though, and even after the heating process, the slice was kind of cold. Overall, for the convenience and the price, this place was good. I'll definitely come back under the right circumstances.

I asked if they offered a military discount, and the employee told me they did. When I presented my military ID, he refused to apply the discount and then attempted to take my government-issued military ID out of my hand to inspect whether it was legitimate. That interaction really caught me off guard and made me uncomfortable. Regardless of the store's policy, there are more respectful and professional ways to handle that situation. I still purchased my food and ordered a standard cheese pizza, hoping the food would make up for the experience. Unfortunately, it was pretty average. The bottom of the pizza was pale and seemed undercooked, so it lacked the crisp texture I was expecting. The ambience, however, did seem really nice. They have upstairs seating that overlooks the street, which could make for a nice spot if you're dining in. Overall, I understand busy shifts can be stressful, but customers should still be treated with courtesy and respect. Better customer service and more consistency in the quality of the pizza would go a long way. Based on this visit, I don't see myself returning.

Three salads, an olive appetizer, two beers, bread, three pizzas, one dessert, all nailed perfectly. Server even checked in about our food allergies. Two months later, tried going with my fiance. 6:30pm reservation on a Sunday. We showed up ten minutes early, to try and be cordial in case it was busy again, like last time. We walked in to four full tables, and four that were clearly unbussed and still dirty. Three servers are handling the four tables. We're greeted, and the first thing we're asked is if we'd "be okay sitting at the bar?" We told them about our reservation, and we're asked to wait a few minutes... while the servers went back to their other customers. Immediate red flag. It's still loud and cold, inside, with the owner and two other BoH members handling food orders. After we told them again about our reservation, we asked if we could sit on the patio. Nodding at each other and pointing that none of the dirty tables inside still had been cleaned, whatsoever. The young server that finally sat us invited to go over the menu as she went to "find out who would be helping us, this evening." (It turned out to be her, with obvious reluctance on her face.) We then waited ten minutes, with room temperature water and another couple eating takeout pizza, directly from the box, five feet away from us... On a night we both had planned for weeks. She inevitably came back, and we Immediately told her we needed to leave. There's no reason why three servers can't handle that lax of a clientele volume, while also bussing their own tables. If you're dropping around $30 a person on dinner, with the literal business owner present behind the counter, that level of blatant laziness shouldn't even be possible. We'll try again on a day expected to be busy. They clearly need some fire under their asses, and it's not coming from where it should be.
