The job I had was pretty straightforward - replace a kitchen faucet, replace a bathroom sink faucet, and replace a toilet fill valve. No emergency, but I needed the work done. I was supplying the parts. One company gave me a price quote that seemed standard, which, to my mind, seemed pretty high for what seemed to be about an hour's work (assuming two people). Another company said they needed to send a plumber out for an estimate. 1-800-Plumber gave me a pretty reasonable estimate (i.e., lower than the first) after confirming the work I needed in a phone call the day I made Yelp contact. We scheduled the visit for a few days later (I was on travel) within a 2-hour time window. Alex and his colleague came right in the middle of the window, and I had received a text message that they were on the way. The punch line is that Alex and a colleague (whose name I didn't catch) did a great job. One person worked on each faucet, and they installed both beautifully. They carefully tested for leaks in my presence and happily answered my questions. One then quickly replaced the toilet flush valve and demonstrated it to me while the other prepared the invoice on a tablet (the receipt was sent to my email). And they did accept a credit card, with no additional fee. The plumbers were very efficient in their work, courteous, and left things very clean, wiping up any spilled water and boxing the parts they replaced. I would happily use this company again and may call them back for some similar tasks.
