    I requested an estimate for the installation of an EV charger. Unlike other electricians, AirPlus…read morerequired a $185 fee in order to provide the estimate. When I pressed them on this, they said that the $185 would be deducted from the final bill *in the event that I chose them.* Of course, this would put me as a customer in an awkward position; they could give me a much higher estimate than others, and effectively strong-arm me into accepting because I've already spend $185. I've worked with many electricians and other contractors, and I have never seen this before. AirPlus may have a good reason for doing this, but it seems shady and precarious to me. For this reason alone, I decided not to work with them. If you're considering working with AirPlus, I strongly recommend getting other estimates, as well. Not only *might* you save money on the actual work, but you most assuredly *will* save money by not having to pay for an estimate upfront.

I heard that this family-owned business is now part of an out of state company. Last month after the fall furnace inspection was complete, the tech mentioned that my hot water heater was more than 20 years old and that it needed to be replaced. AirPlus sent over a plumber to work up an estimate but wasn't able to confirm the unit's age. Turns out the unit was @ 10 years old (called the manufacturer and provided the serial#) and is in good working order (I flushed it 2 years ago and no sediment). Watch out...I think there has been an attitude change over there. I am changing providers.

The technician called his supervisor and explained what happened and his supervisor didn't even hesitate to take full responsibility, "it happened on our watch and we will fix it". When the new compressor arrived technician ROGER SAFRIT carefully reassessed the whole system, replaced even more parts and got our system working better then before, no cost to us. That's what I call 5 star service.

I don't think people realize homeowners have security systems and are often recording what goes on in their house for their own legal protection. I would be scared to post this review if I didn't have video backing it all up.

Mike Schick spent so much time on the phone with me, answering all my questions and describing in detail the process and all related issues. They got my business from that call alone. Also, I forget how much a county license is, but they mark it up to account for their time - which I understand. The other company marked it up dramatically more. Fast forward one year, my plug is glitchy. I called Mike again at 4:30 on a Friday, left a msg, expected to hear back on Monday. He called me back at 5 pm. Again, he was patient, asked me about the issues I was having. He told me what plug to buy and told me that they'd install it for free. I didn't even ask for that, but they completely stand behind their work. Anyway, I was impressed, thought I'd post this review.

    This company does not keep to their promised schedule and did a poor job. They messed up our walls…read moreunnecessarily. We understand electricians don't patch the walls, but they also did not have to make our walls so dirty full of scratches and skid marks. More care should have been put into the process as they installed new wires. We got a quote from them, and booked their service. They promised to come between 8 am and noon on an agreed upon date. On that day, however, they were missing in action. No call (despite their promise of calling us to confirm the exactly time, on the morning of). No message. We had to call the company headquarter many times. They kicked us from one person to the next like football. No answer. No updates. Each time we called (starting at noon) they'd say the electrician should arrive in the next 20 or 30 minutes and he'll give you a call. Nope! Nothing. Finally at 4 pm the electrician showed up. We asked him what was the hold up. He said coldly: you have to ask our office. The job of installing one chandelier to the ceiling of our dining room took them 4 hours! It ruined our evening plan. They did not finish up until 8 pm! We were supposed to go to our friend's house for dinner (and they cooked a feast) at 6:30! Bad service. Mis-communication and bad communication. Badly done job (lot of traces left on our wall, see photos).
