Update on January 26th MACT left me a message stating that their system is now fully back up and…read morerunning and that I could now schedule a follow up appointment. In other words, it took them over two months to get their system back on to provide medical services. On January 31st I received a letter from them stating that a "unauthorized party accessed some of their files which included information that contained my name and one or more of the following: Social Security number and medical information related to my care, such as doctors, diagnoses, insurance information, medicines, test results, images, care and treatment." They are offering a complimentary 12-month membership to Experian's Identity Works..... ridiculous! MACT did NOT take the proper precautions to protect their system, allowing an unauthorized party to access HIPAA protected information. MACT has endless financial resources unlike their patients. I have gone without medical and dental care as have other patients for months because MACT failed to protect the privacy and security of their patients information which led to this debacle and they're now offering a complementary membership to Experian...What a joke! This is wrong on so many levels. Do better MACT!

And forget the cancelation list you won't hear from them. My husband's check-up appointment has been canceled 3 times and he's waited almost 9 months. They also put him on the cancelation list and he has never receive a call. It does'nt seem to matter that the patients time is worth something also. They need to change their policies. He looks at the Root Causes of TMJ/bite disorders and really cares. Doc doesn't let you leave unsatisfied. His office staff are extremely nice, welcoming and have such a understanding for the physically and mental anguish that TMJ suffers. I wish i had a million dollars to give them for putting up with me. You May have to wait awhile in the office, but that's due to the individual custom care he gives each patient. If you are having bite/jaw issues DO NOT wait, is a VERY complex issue and can destroy you entire body. I'm so glad that doc Jennings is helping me fix my jaw, in-turn my body and help me get my life/mind back. Anyone just starting out with fixing their bite/jaw, I'd like to give you an encouraging word to stick with the process...healing is NOT linear and there may be a set back here and there, but do not give up. Now I don't stress about appointments at all--in fact, I actually look forward to them because my dental health has improved so much. Johnna, who does my cleanings, is amazing. She's gentle, understanding, and always takes the time to address my concerns while doing a fantastic job on my teeth. My sister also struggles with dental anxiety, and because of the compassionate, careful approach of this team, she even drives down from Tahoe for her appointments.
