My wife went and had a great experience there. Loved the place. Loved the stylist (Kara) and loved the way her hair looked. So, today when I finally decided to do something about my shaggy, funky bed head, I checked to see if they had any same-day appointments. They did! I'm not really all that picky about haircuts or barbers. As long as the place is nice, the stylist is cool, and the haircut looks presentable without costing a fortune, I'm pretty pleased. This place and particularly my stylist (Kara) knocked it out of the park! Great, easy to find location. Parked directly outside the door (no searching for spots or paying meters). Everyone was so friendly and kind. Kara listened to me tell her about how I like my hair and then tackled the bird nest on my head. It didn't take long before she had me looking like a normal human again. We talked the whole time and the experience was great. Also, a very nice price! I was looking around Yelp for the popular men's barbers around town and they wanted double the price. Y'all can keep all those overpriced hipster places with super long wait times. I'm going to keep going down to Bellevue and John Edwards Salon. You should give them a shot. read more

Offering everything associated with relaxation and pampering services, you will not find a better salon in the Omaha-metro area. This is a promise. If you're looking to get your hair done - cut and/or color - see my stylist, Kristin Nakai. I have been seeing Kristin since 2006. While she wasn't ready to color my hair until October of 1010 (my hair is a very dark black, and I'm Asian...my hair can be..."difficult".), I can honestly say that what she's done for my hair is amazing! Never having the same hair cut twice, Kristin follows two rules: 1) Have fun, and 2) Don't make me look any chubbier than I already do... In each of my encounters at John Edwards Salon, I can honestly say that I have only had the best service. I have never experienced an environment such as the one created at JES. In fact, the owner will come up to my stylist on a regular basis and ask for input. Where else do you see an environment where associates are encouraged to seek one another out for assistance? It happens all the time at JES. In fact, it makes me feel proud that it happens when I'm there. If you love your stylist, great, awesome. I can guarantee that you haven't had an experience like one that can be offered by the stylists at JES. John Edwards salon is a great place to go for any salon service you need. Here, you can get your hair done as well as spa services that include massages, nails, waxing, and wraps. I really love how my hair dresser, Kristin, is really knowledgeable about different hair types and can cut your hair perfectly. She is really awesome. She also perfects your hair coloring too, if you want that done. That's her specialty. read more

I went to get my hair colored after using a boxed color that just didn't look good. Brandi fixed the color for me and it looked beautiful.

I recently moved here from Southern California. I am happy that I found Keira an the salon. Keira did a cut, color an highlight, awesome job! Rachel did a pollutant facial an it really cleansed my skin, making it look refreshed. I received a pedicure from Marie what a treat, not to be missed (She is licensed), I found out that a lot of people giving pedicures in NE are not licensed. My 16year old who was refusing to get her eyebrows done in fear they would end up to thin, had Rachel do them and the are perfect. Don't hesitate make an appointment today! read more

I loved the cleanliness of the salon, and the people were really nice and welcoming, but I didn't have a good hair experience. I was seeing Kara, and she does a wonderful job cutting hair, but as for coloring not so much. I was left with very burnt hair, and the color wasn't even what I went in for. She said one more time would probably get me the color I wanted. No thank you! I wouldn't have hair left over if I did that. The bleach was left on way too long!, and it literally burnt my hair. She put lots of products in my hair to make it look decent, but when I washed it the next morning, it looked like a bird nest and I couldn't even put a comb through it!! I had a sink full of broken hair as I was trying to fix it. I was very upset and felt like it was such a waste of my time and money! and chose to go try to get some of it cut off. It was Monday, and they were closed so I had to go else where, and spent more money there! I ended up coloring over the color at home so it could look somewhat normal. I've also spent a small fortune on products trying to repair the damage that was done! A couple of weeks later I took my son in for a haircut, just to see if she had anything to say about my hair, and not one word was said. I think if your confident and pride yourself in what you do, you would of at least asked did you not like it? It was really awkward! I would of even given her another chance at just trying to make it right, but nothing! I recently left a message and my number to try to get some of the damage cut off, and never heard anything back. I ended up getting my hair trimmed by another hair stylist Tammy who did a wonderful job! I just felt bad that she had to fix someone else's disaster. I blame myself for putting my trust in what I thought was a professional. That to me is not good business, and word of mouth can destroy someone's reputation. Don't be fooled by how your hairstylist hair looks.....someone else does it!! read more

I didn't have a good hair experience here, but I like coming here for a spray tan. I've gotten quite a few and all have been good except one. It turned streaky after a day even with after care products and my arms completely peeled away after two days. read more

I grew up in Bellevue and have been coming to John Edwards Salon for over 15 years now. I've moved around a lot, have come and gone, and now live in South O. Regardless of where I ever am, I always make a point to find my way back to John Edwards for my haircuts. I hope that says something there! The service is outstanding and the designers are wonderful. I've moved around quite a bit among hair designers and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. I'm not super familiar with their salon services but I've heard good things. They have definitely grown lots in the past years and have handled it so well. I'm simple as far as salons go.... but I love this place and come back no matter where in the world I am! read more

When I called for my first appointment over six years ago I asked for someone who specialized with curly hair. Even though all are trained for different hair types, the beautician who had made my appointment referred me to another person who was more skilled in my hair type than she was; I appreciate her humility and honesty. That level of service and commitment to customers has never faltered. The staff is knowledgeable about their inventory, but they don't push extra products on you that you do not need. The prices for salon services are very reasonable and they do their best to work with your schedule. In six years I have never had my appointments messed up. I would highly recommend this salon and if you have curly hair, ask for Sara or Abbey--both are awesome! read more

I was a repeat customer here, but not anymore. Hair and Nail personnel are competent and professional, however the front desk is not. When calling to schedule an appt to fix several broken nails, I was placed on hold and was refereed to someone named Libby. Her first question was 'what do you want us to do about it?" Then after being subjected to 20 questions which I felt were more relevant to discuss with the nail tech than a 'gate keeper', I was pushed out 4 days for their first available appt. Since my hands looked awful with four nail completely gone, I made arrangements to have them done at another salon who had time to fix my nails the same day. Out of courtesy I called JE back to cancel the appt made earlier and free up the nail tech's calendar, only to have Libby comment that she saw on the calendar I had a future appt should she cancel that too? How that was relevant escapes me, but her rather caviler attitude with providing customer service or interest in retaining existing customers caused me to not only cancel all future nail appointments, but I called back and canceled my future hair appointments too. I will take my hard earned dollars and spend them at a salon that cares about their customers and will do whatever to keep them happy and returning. JE Salon doesn't have that attitude. read more
