My hair stylist is getting ready to retire so I've been looking for a salon around my area. I will say it has been a very difficult finding somebody who does a good job of cutting hair without charging an outrageous price. After researching many salons in the area I came to Salon Capelli. There were quite a few not-so-good reviews, however that happens anywhere and especially in this type of service. I was able to book online and within two days I had an appointment. I don't have much time for making phone calls so being able to book online or from my phone is very convenient. When I walked in for my appointment the receptionist at the front was very friendly which is a big deal because the places that I have been to before there is either not been anybody up front and you stand there or they just want to get you in and out and don't really make any eye contact or conversation. I had hope for my haircut and brow wax and I absolutely loved her!! Very personable and friendly. I will be back again. read more

I purchase a Groupon for this salon and my hair stylist did a just ok job. Overall the salon is clean and has friendly staff. My problem was that my haircut was a partial haircut- meaning she didn't really give me a hair cut and just trimmed the ends. Also after she colored my hair she blew dry my hair, but didn't bc I left with my hair half wet and looking crazy. So they don't style your hair here and make you feel pretty, they just send you out the door with wet not styled hair! I also left with hair color all over my head and cheeks so that was fun to clean off! Won't be coming back obviously read more

I'm not sure about the bad reviews, but I had a wonderful experience! First off, I was pleasantly welcomed by the receptionist and offered beverages. I had a Groupon for a color and cut, scheduled with Jordan. I felt very welcomed and Jordan was the sweetest!! She NAILED IT. My balayage turned out literally perfect, and the cut was great. She was really easy to talk to and I would recommend scheduling with her! I think people have drastic ideas when coming in with a Groupon, or they have black hair and want blonde balayage right away. The best hair salon!!! I have been here twice to get balayage done and each time it comes out beautiful, they have the best of the best stylists. This time Danielle Livingston did my balayage and I love It!!! It turned out exactly how I wanted and she is sooo nice, knowledgable and talented. I highly recommend her and this salon. I went in for a braz wax using a Groupon the other day. My service provider was very nice and funny - however, the service itself did not hold up. I still had patches of hair (long and dense enough that there was no reason they should have been missed), and I had to pick wax chunks out of awkward places. Very disappointed in my now second visit to this place! Going to make this short.. Girl that first did my hair turned it orange and seemed to have no time for me!! Was rude and didn't care. Told me to come back in a few weeks to touch... Called to get a color correction appointment . I was told there is no charge for this. 1. Get there and they switch the hair dresser I was with! 2. I was told all the wrong information and lied to multiple times! I only got a percentage off, we don't fix this free. = terrible manager customer service! 4. I got the groupon for a cut and color, which I always purchase through the store not through groupon, I can not remember the stylist name at the moment but she did a wonderful job. The place was clean and I got in right away. She did up charge me $20 to put a toner in my hair which she asked in advance, but also she asked if she could wax my eyebrows which she didn't charge me for at all which was nice because I would have paid anyway. YOU NEED TO READ THE WHOLE THING! if you care about your hair! Don't ever go there! Their service is beyond horrible and they treat the unsatisfied customers like dirt! I went there this week. TWICE! Spent 12hours total and left with nothing, but a complete different color which i never wanted in my life! They have released this Groupon thing and thats how they rip money off from people! The Groupon is a complete misrepresentation and a total joke! You will end up spending more money using the Groupon than you will with a normal service from an experienced better stylist. Because it only includes ONE SINGLE APPLICATION. And There is only one person who do all the groupon deals and she is HORRIBLE! Her name is Judy. And you r not allowed to ask for a better, different person to fix up her mess, because of their stupid policy thing!? But what about the CUSTOMERS' HAIR POLICY then???! I wanted to go from dark brown to silver grey balayage. And i wanted a little trim and a slight layer. She literally chopped off the top layer of my hair, and put the grey on barely bleach touched dark hair! And said she sees "some white parts" in my hair! I didn't want to look for white parts. I wanted my hair LOOK grey silver balayage! She said that i could come back if it doesn't turn "whitish" in 2 wks! I came home and found more and more mess all over my hair. I had to blend the chopped parts of my hair myself with my thinning scissors . And there was no way that dirty, burnt caramel color turn to white! So i went there the next day and asked for a different person to fix that but they said according to their policy the person who messed up has to fix it herself! What kinda shit is that?!? Despite my anger, i gave her a chance to fix my hair to what i wanted and she literally just played my hair. My hair looked like a box of melted crayon! I was so devastated and broke down there and just wanted to go back to my natural color. And then she covered my hair with PITCH BLACK!!!! My natural color is DARK BROWN!!! How come a person called stylist can't tell a difference between brown and black or grey and dark caramel??? She is BLIND! And I had to leave this shitty salon with my hair damaged like a bunch of hay, dripping wet because she was DONE with me and they were closing! I was beyond tired and exhausted from sitting there 12 hours for 2 days. The receptionist said she would leave a message for the owner to call me back the next day which NEVER happened! So my husband called the owner and asked them to get my hair back to what i came with into their salon and she said there is NOTHING they can do cause they gave me a full refund! I will never give this place my business again and I don't think you should either. The lashes were poking my eyes and when I called I was advised to take them off with coconut oil and steam. I did this after not being able to stand them after a few days and and now I have to wait months for them to grow back!! I can't event wear makeup. STEER CLEAR OF THIS SALON!! The salon is hurting for business, so they have had Groupons out in the market CONTINUOUSLY since they opened....but when you try to redeem your Groupon, they make it impossible to do so. I purchased a Groupon, but before doing so, I contacted the salon to make sure it would be accepted (I had been in for a service many years before, when they first opened and wanted to make sure I would be seen as a new client since I had never been to the facialist before). The Groupon says "new clients only", so I had called ahead to verify and was in fact told that I was a "new" client with this esthetician. When I was told to go ahead and purchase the Groupon, I did so, and now after I have purchased it and I am trying to get in for an appointment, I am being told it will not be honored. I can't say I was not warned about this salon by others, but I did not heed the warnings. So, I am warning you....they are selling Groupons because they are desperate for the business, but then their extremely rude and disrespectful receptionist, Alanna, will make it impossible for you to use the Groupon and will try to steer you to another full-price service. Alanna loves to play the blame game, blaming a "new receptionist" for giving out false information, blaming the owner for being "difficult", and she doesn't know the first thing about customer service. She talks over you, uses very poor grammar, disrespects her co-workers, the salon owner and the client... and then hangs up the phone on you when you dispute what she is saying. If I could give Salon Capelli ZERO stars, I would do so. This salon was the most disappointing experience. I had been warned by a friend who used a groupon there that I would be disappointed in the service, but I just chalked it up to salons that offered Groupons sometimes cut corners to recoup some of the loss from advertising w/Groupon. I was paying full price so I expected much more. I had reserved a cut/color and then a pedi. First, I was not prepared for the disgusting mess I found upon sitting in the pedicure chair. Let's just start with toe nail clippings all over the surrounding floor and inside the tub. The tech saw what I saw and just swept the nails aside....it was just gross. Next, the service was hurried, I left with polish on my skin, calluses that were untouched and uneven nails. Moving on to my cut and color....the gal (owner) spent more time on her cell phone than paying attention to me! I should have left when I had the chance. The cut was ok - the color, a complete mess, and by this point I was trying to just get out of there. This is a very badly run place, the front desk receptionist is beyond rude -- didn't even look up when I approached, and mumbled something to me about sitting down to wait. She could not have been less welcoming. Its completely dead inside, most of the hair stations are empty and unused, so I'm thinking business might not be good. The receptionist should be falling all over herself to welcome customers and make them feel like they are important! Being a new client, wouldn't you think they would take care of new customers to try to build that customer base??? I WILL NEVER AGAIN RETURN TO THIS SALON. I wish I had read existing reviews/listened to my friend before making my own appointment. I really enjoy my time away from my reality at Salon Capelli. It is a beautiful salon where an oasis of luxurious comfort has been created. Lisa does my hair. I have spent a lot of time with this lady. She is amazingly skillful and equally as pleasant! I feel I am treated well, genuinely welcomed by the staff and provided excellent care for the aesthetics in my life. I enjoy all my adventures with the folks here. I've had my eyelashes done. I've had waxing. I've had several hair transformations. I wouldn't keep coming back if I were treated poorly or if I observed discourteous behavior. I think when you project a positive energy that is what you receive back. Maybe that's why I enjoy my time here so much! read more

Salon Capelli is near my house which is the main reason I go. It's a chic little salon and I'm always offered coffee or water or something by my stylist. The receptionist isn't overly friendly but she hasn't ever been rude to me. I usually get in right when my appointment starts. My stylist is Brooke and she is amazing! She is one of those stylist that actually does what you ask, not what they think will be best for your hair. When I'm studying flashcards or powerpoints for school she doesn't get super chatty because she sees me studying. When I don't have anything she's really down to earth and I super enjoy her company. I go every six weeks and she's always on top of her game, even when I know she's tired and I'm the last client of the day for her. read more

I am not from Omaha but was in a wedding in Omaha this past weekend. Jamie is the salon owner and coordinated hair and makeup with the bride and mother of the groom for 8 of us. Jamie was to do the hair and makeup for both mothers and the bride. 3 of us showed up at 8:30am to start - Everyone needed out of there by noon. Jamie was not there yet and the only girl there said she would be happy to start on one of us - her name was Danielle and she was extremely nice and did a good job on my hair and another girls hair. She was the only good part about our morning! However, nothing else was written down of who at the salon was supposed to work with anyone else. Jamie arrived late and started on makeup for Mother of the groom. Jamie was very disorganized...luckily other stylists just offered to help with some of our help because Jamie had nothing structured or setup. It was a mess. She did the bride LAST - LAST...and she waited until she had her hair done to try the veil and then said - the veil was too heavy and she would have to re-do her hair and she didn't have time because she needed to leave as she had other things going on that day. IT WAS A JOKE! Because Jamie was running behind she had another stylist curl and start the Mother of the bride's hair (Jamie's suggestion) and then double charged her because 2 people worked on her hair! The poor bride was in tears and wasn't able to use her veil! When they did our makeup they had us in a dark corner with no lighting and a bunch of makeup and only 1 actual makeup girl...the others were just stylists doing makeup that day. They did a nice job but when they were putting on artificial single eye lashes on us they totally jacked them up. The bride lost some of her lashes as soon as she left the salon and mine had so much glue it clumped my lashes together and I had clumpy lashes instead of thick full lashes. Do NOT go to this place for a special event. The bride was in tears, she couldn't use her veil, and we were all late! I got there at 8:30 and left at NOON...the bride got there at 9am and left at 12:45! and Jamie was not apologetic at all. She actually wasn't even very nice the whole morning. I felt bad for her staff because she didn't have a plan and didnt have proper staff. read more
