I can here for the first time to use a gift card on a 1-hour massage. Rachel was my masseuse, and she did a fantastic job!! The massage felt much longer than an hour (in a good way). We talked a little in the beginning, then went silent (as I prefer this), she was very good at deciphering what I preferred as a first time client. She asked me of any problem spots/areas to avoid, and checked a couple times to see if things were feeling good. The amount and duration of pressure were great, and she even did a little cupping which I was very pleasantly surprised did not hurt as I thought it would! Overall this was a great massage, especially as I felt Rachel read me/my preferences very well and did a great job in meeting them. The salon itself is gorgeous--very impressive lobby with a staircase on either side leading you upstairs! I also loved the sauna/steam room offering, and was pleasantly surprised to find a shower as well, which was stocked with any supplies you may need there. It was a very private setting. Although the $110 (plus tip) for a 1 hour massage is not something I would typically spring for, it was well worth the money and I see why their prices are this high. I went for one hour couple massage & thoroughly enjoyed every minute. It's high class for sure. To start they give you a nice cool glass of water with cucumber or orange slices, there's a Keurig machine if you want something else. We walked into a large locker/shower room that we changed into white robes and went into the steam room where I sat in for almost 10 minutes. Loved this!! We walked down the hall to the room where our beds were. Beds have super comfy padding. You hear soft, relaxing, stress relief music in the background with dimly lit lighting. My massage therapist was perfect for the relaxing experience & getting a few knots out of my back/shoulders! Afterwards, was a nice shower, hot neck wrap & option of charcuterie board!!! Of course we indulged in that treat! We sat in a side room with a fireplace & ate cheese, crackers, apple slices, nuts & chocolates! Feeling like a Queen! read more

I received a gift card to receive a steam room experience and massage today. I was blown away by this facility. Having never been there, I was impressed by the facility quality and staff. Cassidy performed my massage (amazing), and Lexie (very welcoming and helpful) was at the welcome desk on the second floor spa area. The massage was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep several times. I learned on the way out that there's also what they call a "salt room". That is where you can sit for 25 minutes and breathe in very salty air. Supposedly this is beneficial homeopathic breathing therapy. The salt room is included with the massage. I finally decided to make an appointment last week and they responded quickly through their website inquiry. Usually, an appointment call will be provided and a suggested stylist will be recommended based on your hair texture and preference. I was assigned Amber and after describing what I was hoping for as out outcome, she came through with flying colors. Getting a massage is never a bad idea, however the whole process here makes you feel like you are having a spa day on vacation somewhere! After you change, you get to sit in their steam room for like 20 minutes and it is so relaxing. Your pores open up and you are ready for that massage. The massages are amazing, but do not forget to try a facial. I had never had a facial before but was getting married in 4 months and it came highly recommended by my makeup artist. So I did a regular facial once a month for 3 months, then a week before my wedding, with the recommendation from staff there, I did their HydraFacial. My results with the HydraFacial was very nice, however I would say that a normal facial there is much more relaxing than the HydraFacial. However, if you are struggling with dry skin and/or getting very important photos taken, I would highly recommend the HydraFacial. I also added the Dermaplane treatment to mine, and that took away all the dead skin and peach fuzz and make my makeup much smoother looking! read more

I was in need of a haircut while we were out here 2 years ago, my girl was booked solid. And my boyfriend recommended this spot he used to go to when he lived here. So I decided why not, they had great reviews. I'm pretty picky with who I let touch my hair. I've had some bad experiences in the past so it takes a lot to try someone new. Sabrina is awesome, she did exactly what I asked her to do. Because of that, I see you anytime I'm back in Omaha now, and when we move there next year, I plan on having her as my full time hairstylist. Went here had my hair cut. What a joke, showed the girl the style and cut I wanted. She didn't even come close to the picture I showed. Cut all my hair off to a boy cut. I am so unhappy. So ashamed I don't want to even go outside. Not all the stylist are bad, but I will never step foot in this salon again. This place isn't cheap, yes I got my money back. I have been going here for 7 years. I love my stylist and the quality but there have been repeative issues with the front desk and scheduling. (See my google review from 4 years ago). This week I was called on Tuesday and told my stylist would not be in on Saturday so they rescheduled me. I was called back 20 minutes later and told it was a mistake and that my original appointment was still on. Then I was called less than 12 hrs before the appointment and it was canceled and I was told they could not get me in for 2 months. When I expressed I was frustrated by the back and forth and suddenly not being able to get in for two months I was told to find another stylist. I asked to speak to someone else and she said she was the manager and refused to let me speak to anyone. She started screaming asking if i was an idiot.​ I got an appointment somewhere else. This place is wildly impressive. I booked a spa day (massage & facial) & was blown away by the cumulative experience. I was initially unsure if the cost would be justified, but I definitely feel now that it was money well spent. The entire appointment took place on the second floor, away from the bustle of the hair salon downstairs. It was a relatively quiet & tranquil space with minimal foot traffic & pleasantly dim lighting. The locker room is the first & last part of your appointment. Be forewarned that it is very small & became cramped immediately when more than 2 people were trying to access lockers. There is a large private shower & toilet, as well as a big vanity fully stocked with beauty supplies & toiletries. This is also where the steam room is located. The massage suites were small but still aesthetically pleasing; the horizontal tables & upright facial chairs were unbelievably comfortable. There were also multiple drink stations in the hallways where you could stop for a flavored water, tea, coffee, or a quick piece of candy. And we mustn't forget the amazing staff. Every person who spoke with or worked on me was professional, polite, & friendly. They all went above & beyond to ensure that my day was all it could be & more. read more

Omaha doesn't have many true day spas, and many places tout themselves as being a day spa when I think that is a stretch. If you are going to call yourself a day spa, I need some sort of separation between hair and nail services (which is noisy and distracting) and the spa. Creative Hair Design offers their spa services on the second level, completely separate from the hair and nail area. Upstairs, I heard none of the activity going on below me so the soundproofing must be good. The spa area is quiet and tranquil with dimmed lighting, aromatherapy, flavored waters and various sitting areas. I have been here on and off over the years for massages, facials and hair and been very happy with my multiple experiences. This is a salon that has been around for many years and continues to succeed. I learned on my most recent visit they were adding on for the 8th time since their opening. Very disappointed in the service and response of the owner to my concern. I had been a client for 7 years and had been very happy until about 2 years ago. My color became inconsistent from visit to visit, despite coming in every 4 weeks and using salon quality products my stylist recommended. Owner made me feel like it was my fault and was not courteous. I asked for the product name and level they had been using, to give my next stylist an idea of what I had been using. He refused and was very petty. Needless to say, I found a GREAT salon and an owner that took time to explain why the color was not turning out well, consistently, at Creative. After spending approximately $10,000 over 7 years at Creative Hair Design, I was greatly disappointed in the owner. Happy to take my business elsewhere and achieve the blonde color I want! read more

I have been coming here in some capacity most of my life, so that's 29 years. My mom started bringing me to appointments with her, eventually I moved into getting occasional cuts here as a kid (when I wasn't grabbing scissors myself and doing it!) I continued to go through high school for updos for dances and occasionally some color. Years ago, I was having an updo done by a stylist for a dance and she was called away for an emergency. John, the owner, stepped in and finished my updo. I continued to see hair stylists here, sometimes they had to fix my at home color experiments in my teens and early 20s. I do not have a regular hair stylist here. I have seen Jordan for my eyebrows for around 6 years and I will not go anywhere else. Even within CHD, I'm hesitant to let anyone but her do my brows! My sister sees Stacy for hair and always leaves looking like a million bucks. Sloan recently did my wedding updo. She worked with me and even when I didn't like the first style, we did something different. She was excellent. The entire place is set up almost like a movie set and you feel like a model, getting hair and make up done. The spa area is relaxing and calm, the styling area busy and bright. This is an Omaha staple, there's a reason they win best of Omaha every year. You get what you pay for, and CHD delivers. read more

Had a salt glow scrub ($69). Hot coconut oil was a nice surprise. The application sloughed off dead skin from a healed sunburn and left my skin soft. Tamra did a great job. This treatment is not for the modest. You are just covered up with a standard size towel while laying on the table. If your body gets to rocking a little from the scrub action, you could have a nip slip ; ) A suggestion would be to turn the shower on for the client since it's kind of a funky set up. read more

I realize this whole Covid pandemic has many that have had cancelled or rescheduled appointments however I am upset at how this last cancellation was handled. Myself I have had two appointments rescheduled. I was called by my stylist to reschedule them. This last which was supposed to be in one week I was not notified by her or the salon by any means of communication that they were not opening back up on the 4th. This is unacceptable to someone who has been a loyal customer. Take the time to notify us as the very least. You just cancelled all appointments with no ability to even reschedule from the letter on your website which I looked up after trying to come down to buy product to find the Salon closed. Maybe others will be more forgiving but at this point I am actively looking for another permanent stylist elsewhere. read more

I have been getting my nails done by Jenny for about 2 months now and she deserves 5 stars!! She does a shellac manicure and I could not be happier with them. I can walk there from work and she has me in and out in right around 30 mins. My nails last with that shellac coat for almost 3 weeks! She is great and the staff there is friendly. I will say make sure you make an appointment, they are ALWAYS busy and ALWAYS packed though! The staff is so friendly , so matter what you should have a good experience. I can only speak on behalf of the nail department however. I have not tried the spa or hair salon. But everyone I see looks pretty dang happy! read more

I love CHD. I have been seeing Kat for over a year now and I always leave happy. I am one of those people who don't know what they are doing with hair. I don't ever have a style or color in mind, but I go see Kat, ask for her opinion, and she always gives me something I like. I tried going to another salon for a cheaper hair cut, but that is exactly what I got: a cheap hair cut. My hair didn't sit right, and honestly, I looked like a mushroom. I called Kat and got it fixed the next week. The environment is very professional. They offer a lot of spa services in addition to hair, and I am always offered a drink when I check in. I have been to 2 other stylists there, and they were both excellent as well. CHD never disappoints, so they are worth the price to me. read more
