Been with State Farm for 20+ years and at John Lite's office for 18 of those years and they have been wonderful to work with through all of life's changes (and car accidents.) From what I've read online this office seems to be great and I love that they have "office dogs" but unfortunately I did not have a great experience with them. On 1/4 I contacted the office and spoke with Susan regarding car and homeowners insurance. I received a written quote later that night. I reviewed the quote and wanted to make some minor changes and sent an email on 1/6 stating that I wanted to make some minor changes but otherwise we were good to go. Normally when a customer says they want to purchase something, one gets a response right away but I did not hear anything. I followed up and left a message on 1/7, 1/8 and 1/11. After I didn't hear back on 1/11 I found a different place to purchase my insurance. It's 1/27 and I have yet to have a call back from their agency. I understand things take time during COVID but I'm beyond annoyed that this office wasted my time and failed to provide even decent customer service. read more

We inquired about how State Farm would be handling the rebate they announced for auto insurance during this crisis. This is the reply we received: "Since your autos renew in August it will probly be on your August bill. Watch for it." Probably. August. That's a non answer. It's not helpful. That led to an email back and forth that eventually John Lite got involved in. When I questioned if he thought that initial reply was helpful, he replied: "As far as what Susan Communicated, she did the best she could to explain." I've been a customer since 2006. This is not the first time the customer service has been poor and the communication has not been clear.   This would have been a great answer: "Let me look into this for you and get back to you."   This would have been a great answer: "As of how things stand today, you will receive a credit of approximately 25% for March 20 to May 31.  But things are changing every day, so they may announce something new." It's sad and disappointing that this office does not value clear communication or good customer service. And when questioned about it, instead of accepting the feedback and admitting they could have handled it better, they double down and defend themselves. read more

If you want an office you can count on, this clearly is not it. I came in after work one day to express interest in potentially switching over my policy to this agent as I live permanently in Southern California and my current agent is up north. There was only one worker in the office and she kept putting her fingers in her mouth, which was decently unsanitary and quite unprofessional when speaking with a potential client. We spoke for about a minute and she said she would call me the next day. I didn't get a call the next day, nor the next. I eventually got an email saying that she was requesting my policy be switched over to their offices. I immediately emailed back saying that she absolutely did not have my permission to do so and that I was not going to switch to an agent I'd never met. I then called the number I had from her card to iterate. We set up a time for me to meet the agent as I would still give him a chance even if his assistant most certainly was not up to par with my expectations for State Farm. I also called my current agent and asked them to nip that in the bud immediately and make sure nothing was done without my express permission. Today, I went in at my scheduled time to meet with the agent. I stepped in to the office to two semi-confused looking women. The one with whom I'd initially seen as well as spoken on the phone with after the email incident did not recognize me at all. I said that I was there for a meeting with John. The one who sits in the left desk looked confused. They both said that John was in a meeting. And I told them that I was there for a scheduled appointment for him to possibly be my new agent. This seemed to dawn on the one on the right and started saying something quietly about switching from Northern California. I asked if they were telling me that he was not there and not available to see me. They said no and that he would not be back until tomorrow. I said I would not be back. read more

The one star rating is for the following reasons: 1. instead of asking all the pertinent questions via email at once, they asked one question per email. 2. Two weeks later I ask for an update, no reply. usually it takes two or three emails, one every few days with the same question to get a reply. 3. I call on the phone and she says she has the quote and will email it. I don't receive it. email a few more times and she replies the quote will be a few more days. 4. I finally get the quote. I ask her if it covers both buildings and she replied asking who I am, what is my phone number. Attached to that email she sent is the quote that has all the info she needs. 5. I send my name and phone number and the quote again and no reply for a week. Maybe they only do good work for really large policies? But who wants to trust them with that? read more

I have be a customer of this particular branch of State Farm for about 4 or 5 years after I transferred from another branch. The agent retired at my former branch and the person who took over messed up my account. But Susan and then Maureen fixed me right up. I have had wonderful service from them. Front office staff is horrible! They do not return calls or emails. The front office even deleted one of my insurance coverage for more than 1 year. I thought I was paying for this, but apparently they don't know why it was deleted. I was so furious that I thought I had insurance for something I didn't. There is still no explanation how my coverage was deleted. I have been using State Farm for more than 15 years and have always been very happy with my previous agent in a different city. State Farm is one of the greatest companies in America! the 3 times I needed them over the 12 years I was with them, they came through WITH FLYING COLORS! He used to be amazing agent and sit down and explain everything but now that he is established his employees run the business can't answer questions and he is no where to be found. When there is a problem he either avoids your emails or has excuses or points the finger at you. Not to mention he wants you to follow up with him yet he is the agent. This is a typical example of someone that became lazy after he does not need your business. I would not recommend him and I feel sorry for his staff that does all his work while he is On vacation or just never there. read more

I usually pay my insurance in full when due but John told me some options that would make it more convenient for me.
