Dr. McNutt approached my problems pragmatically, listening to my whole story to piece together why I may still be experiencing pain. Another dentist told me that I should get additional root canals and crowns to solve the problem but after listening and looking at my X-rays Dr. McNutt determined that all that was needed was a bite adjustment. As I am typing this my mouth feels back to normal for the first time in months. However, my personal experience with the dental hygienist at my very first visit is that she was extremely aggressive. I honestly felt like I was a toilet bowl she was scrubbing the inside of when it came to the tooth polishing process - it was literally comical! I had toothpaste and water all over my face. This is not normal folks! Not to mention how painful the actual cleaning was. She did not use a manual scraping tool but rather an electronic water pick type tool which she was so aggressive with. After I came home my entire mouth was hurting for hours. I brush twice a day and floss every night. I have had nothing but excellent cleanings. But this lady said I had deep pockets that needed to be cleaned. In the past when I have had to have deep cleaning they would anesthetize you...this was not done. She just dug right on in there with her electric cattle prod instrument! So needless to say I will NOT be going back.

It has been four months since I underwent treatment…read morehere for a chipped tooth and I am currently having to work with another dentist to correct what was done. I was not in pain when I came to see Dr. Stein but I have been in pain since. I have never had any real problems with my mouth but was told I needed two crowns. I had a bad experience during the procedure and had to be carried to the restroom in tears by the hygienist. The crowns caused the rest of my teeth not to seat together properly, and I have developed often excruciating TMJ as a result. The procedure was not explained to me until minutes before, and I just felt everything was quite rushed. I am also currently working to untangle the balance financed through Cherry. I was provided with no information or recourse on how to cancel the loan when the financed services were completed in an unsatisfactory manner from neither Cherry nor Stein dental. The dispute I filed with Cherry has been a never-ending loop of AI chatbots with zero actual communication. When I do have a person contact me about my balance, and I ask about the dispute, they stop responding. I would like to stay here that I am a former healthcare fraud investigator for the federal government and my experience meets two of the five main criteria used by the OIG to prosecute fraud. Please do your own research and carefully consider the negative reviews before making your decision to visit this provider. My professional assessment is that the numerous positive reviews are heavily solicited by the provider, are primarily based on front-end interactions, and pertain mostly to the kindness of the staff as opposed to medical expertise. I will note that Griselda and Mackenzie are wonderful but coming here is a bit like visiting a race track pit crew to get your emergency work done. You get in fast but at what cost? I am currently working to appeal the dispute that was silently denied by Cherry with zero communication, and will update this review in one month's time when the decision has been made to report if my professional assessment still stands.
