October 12, 2020. A couple people in my neighborhood referred me to Dr Milligan. I've had nasal surgery, multiple broken noses, deviated septum. I called their office this morning and was flat out told Dr Milligan doesn't see new patients unless your current doctor refers you to him. They said this is his personal policy regardless of if your insurer allows you to see anyone you like in network without referrals. Medical red tape and bureaucracy at its finest. I think I am competent enough to know when I have a sinus issue going on, with all of my issue I've had in my lifetime. He might be the most miraculous doctor in the world, but this type of policy is nonsense. read more

Had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction with Dr. Milligan. I was up and walking around right after the surgery. 2 days post op and no swelling. So far so good! He took the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. Thank you!! read more

Nothing to say. Sorry. Too much emotion to give fair review. My Doc is usually Dr. Milligan. When Weisskoff was there he was verbally abusive to me. I am an RN . I have no eardrums. I have had tubes for years to help balance air exchange and to alleviate aspergillus S/S. He refused to put any tubes in. He told me I am fearful of life itself. WTF? Is he a shrink? I attempted to make an appointment to potentially get my tonsils out. I chose to ignore the previous reviews about long wait times and poor office etiquette, but never got past waiting to talk to someone to make an appointment. (602) 264-4834 is their office appointment line. I was on the line for 15 minutes and 36 seconds, before I finally hung up. Yes, there is a call back service. How long would I wait for that, if you can't pick up my first call? First impressions make all the difference. May want to invest some money in more receptionists. They are the first contact, and no one should wait more than a few minutes to make an appointment. I have a picture of the date, duration, and time of call, if there is any doubt. read more

Dr Milligan is the definition of what a great doctor should be! He's incredibly kind, honest, professional, very educated, and more importantly has an impeccable bed side manners. I had a tonsillectomy performed, this was my very first surgery. I was super nervous & scared but he made sure his staff introduced themselves to me & made sure I was comfortable throughputmy process. His nurse even followed up on me twice after my surgery to make sure I was doing ok. From the arrival, pre & post surgery, it was by far the best experience. I wish there were more doctors out there like him! I highly recommend him. Thanks to him and his staff, I have no sleep apena anymore. read more

READ THIS REVIEW AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ON TISSUE WELDING, or thermal fusion with an instrument called ENTceps, before you choose another surgeon besides Dr. Milligan for your tonsillectomy. You will thank me, send flowers to me, probably give me your first born....you get the point. As I write this, I am staying overnight at a hospital following Dr. Milligan's triple hitter performed earlier today on me: I underwent a Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP or UP3 "sleep apnea surgery"), tonsillectomy, and turbinate reduction. I am 33 years old, and my recovery time frankly should be weeks. Everyone knows that an adult tonsillectomy is bloody, painful, and not without serious risk. Yet, I am already weaning off of narcotic drugs and speaking with minimal pain- In the same day as my surgical procedures! How????? Because of Dr. Milligan's use of thermal fusion as a technique for tissue removal. It is criminal that not all ENTs are using this less evasive and superior methodology. Currently, Dr. Milligan is the only ENT doc in AZ using it!!! On top of his innovative approach to his craft and clear commitment to stay abreast of the latest technology available to his patients, he is a competent and compassionate surgeon without the typical ego you see in surgeons. :) As an attorney who works with lots of doctors, it is refreshing for me to meet a professional who cares as much as Dr. Milligan cares and who exercises such patience with people who put their lives in his hands. Do yourself a favor and SEE DR. MILLIGAN!!! One reviewer criticized his office and gave a poor review, but who cares?! What matters is Dr. Milligan's incredible competence and use of thermal fusion. This is the FIRST doctor who actually listened to me. The back story is that another doctor wanted to take my tonsils out for tonsil stones and my primary doc concurred. There were a few very small ones toward the top on my right tonsil which he took out but said there was a really big one inside my tonsil that would require a tonsillectomy. I kept telling the other doctors that it was not my tonsil that was bothering me. It was a really hard thing, bone-like, sticking out from under my tonsil that was giving me neck and ear pain and I felt dizzy when my head was tilted a certain way. After a year of seeing 3 doctors I demanded a CT scan because I just believed this was a wrong diagnosis. I was NOT going to get a tonsil out at 53 years old because the surgery recovery is so grueling. I was referred to Dr. Milligan, who I sent the CT scan results to before our appointment. He was very gracious and spent at least a half hour with me. He said when he first looked at the CT scan before our appointment, it showed NO tonsil stones, tumors or anything not supposed to be there in the throat tissues. He gloved up and actually had his hand in my mouth to feel what I was feeling because he was really trying to get a diagnosis for me. No other doctor did that. He went out of the room saying "I think I know what you have! I am going to look at the CT scan again in a different spot." He came back with a diagnosis. Eagle Syndrome. Basically, there these two bones that are behind each ear that extend to under your tonsils! Sometimes they grow too long and poke out, hitting the back of your tongue and impinging your corroded artery causing dizziness. IF I were to have my tonsils out, It would have led to another surgery once these bones were exposed. Now I just have to have these bones shortened which isn't thrilling me, but much better than a tonsillectomy! read more

I waited over two months for an appointment with Dr Milligan. It takes me an hour and half to drive one way - (also gas is $5.43 a gallon) and I had to take PTO for this. I arrive at said address 20 min early - it's closed. So, I call. And wait. Wait... wait.. 15 min go by and finally someone on the phone. All she can tell me is "idk why someone would tell you that address but you have to reschedule now" so I explain - how am I going to be put back to the shelf after all this time because of a clerical error on your end? Again, no solution - only " idk why they told you that address" - "we can't see you now". Okay. Also could care less when saying removing any information for me. Guess he's not needing new patients ? Wonderful. Maybe I dodged a bullet by this happening because this is the most bullshit thing to do to people. So much for hippocratic oath. read more

Dr. Milligan listened carefully to my throat pain problem and was able to diagnose a problem with my surgical fusion hardware compressing my esophagus, after I'd been incorrectly diagnosed with tonsillitis by one ENT and reflux by another ENT. Dr. Milligan was kid, compassionate, and even called me himself with some test results. That is so rare these days He really cares and I highly trust and respect him. The office is horrible! I got to the appointment 15 minutes beforehand to fill out paperwork. Appointment was for my 3 year old. As the time went on, my child was becoming increasingly stir crazy. My child was yelled at three times and I was glared at meanwhile it was 45 minutes before I even got called into the appointment. I asked for my money back and went somewhere else. The worst experience and had I known he was more of pediatric specialist, i would not have gone . Two hours of a waste of time and have more problems now with itching in both of my ears, never even asked me pertinent questions and I had to remind him to check my throat for lumps! Never checked my nose and the hearing test probably gave me ear mites! The test requires a very hurtful instrument across your forehead. Someone was before me for the test and Nancy gave me the test immediately without cleaning. I was tossed around back and forth which led to a two hour visit and never got any relief, just told me I needed a hearing aid! i have no problems hearing. Just tinnitus which was the reason for my visit! Used their restroom and some inconsiderate did not put seat down which I attempted to and it slipped and had the most loud noise in my ears to give me more problems! Don't waste your time.
