My first time at this place and I loved it the wings are perfectly done and juicy. Loved all the sauces we tried and the 2-4-1 deal is my favorite Also the staff are very friendly and they take good cautious regarding the Covid measures

Hello Canada! It was an overnight trip, to Canada, after the end of our family reunion. I must say Canada does not look any different than your average city in the United States. We were expecting the streets, buildings, people, and food to be different but to our surprise you would have thought you were in your local city. I must say the people seem to be much more friendlier than others in the United States. I ordered nachos and the family ordered wings. Their wings come in many flavors and rubs. The portion was plentiful. The server and bartender was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this spot for a meal and/or drink.

The best wings I've ever had. I visit this place every time I'm in Windsor. The chicken wings are saucy and as soon as you bite into it, you taste the crunch from the breading and then the juicy, soft chicken in the center. The sauces are also amazing. I like their honey garlic, Nashville hot, and Baton Rouge. The ranch is very good too and the waffle fries are CRISPY. Service has always been good and helpful. And the restaurant is pretty clean. I love this place and highly recommend.

First time at this place - visited the Dougall location. Looks not so big from the outside, but quite spacious inside with lots of TV - staff were quite efficient, friendly, courteous. Went with few of my colleagues and we had a wrap and couple of Megatron burgers and fried pickles. Service was prompt & Food was delicious. Towards the very end, it got way too loud at a table close by with a bunch of guys enjoying their evening way too much and not being mindful of other customers. We could barely hear conversations at our table. We were hoping to have some desert options to top up our dinner, but sadly no options.

My first visit to John Max. The beer was cold. The wings were huge. The wings were delicious. The service was fast and friendly.

I was in town on business. I stopped in for lunch with a customer, never having sampled the food at John Max. Lunch was terrific. I went back after work for wings and beer. Delicious! Fast and friendly service at the bar. I will be traveling back to Windsor next month, and plan on having more of the cold beer and terrific wings!

We visited the location on Lauzon. Service was great and so was the food. Me and my girlfriend had burgers and our friends had the rib n wing combo and the hunger challenge combo. Everyone was satisfied with the food and service. And they have a wide variety of beers on tap which is also important!

The atmosphere is great for groups. They have plenty of TVs so it's a great place to catch any game with a group of friends. The appetizers are really good. I tried the quesadilla and spinach and artichoke dip. For my main dish I ordered medium ceasar parmesan wings with a side of hot sauce for added spice. I don't recommend anyone get this because it wasn't very good. The parmesan was just shredded on top of the ceasar dipped wings, which is odd. Ideally I would rate this restaurant 3.5/5 but since I can't do that on here I'm going with 4 because of the atmosphere and delish apps. They also gave us hot towels at the end of our meal which was a nice touch.

I have visited this place twice around 4pm on a weekday and the first time I had impeccable service and the second time I had to search for my waiter. I absolutely love the kronenbourg blanc on tap at $7.50 a pint, I feel it's a bit expensive for a windsor on dougal that has a patio that overlooks a parking lot. Wings: Thursday are 2 for 1 traditional wings. A small size has about 7 wings, so you can get 14 wings for the price of one small! It comes with carrots and a dipping sauce. Both ranch and blue cheese are excellent sauces. I would love it bottled up for home :) I rexommend trying tequila lime and casear parmesan. The atmosphere is a typical sports bar with lots of tvs and music. It is clean and seems renovated.

Chicken Wings at John Max, Dougall location. Consistently large and tasty chicken wings. Good dry rubs too (Cajun & Smoked Applewood).

This place is known for it's large, tasty chicken wings. Because I'm a cheapskate, I go on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the "2 for 1 Wings", my friends and I split a $9.95 pitcher of Pabst (because it's cheap). Unlike a few other places I've been to, the chicken wings are consistently large, tasty and have good dry rubs. I usually don't get sauces, so I can't comment on them. This place does good business and sometimes you have to wait a little bit for the server... if they have 10 tables each you just have to wait. Go on a Tuesday at 10pm and service will be much faster. Just the way it is. I see a lot of people with baseball uniforms coming in after their game to eat and drink. Lots of TV's with each sporting even on, something for everyone.

I have been coming to Cramdon's for years, and even before it moved to this location and was down the road. I used to come here after work with friends from work and this was one of our many places to hang out. The food as definitely changed over the years, which is fair, you need to grow as a restaurant and try new things. Last night I came with my boyfriend and his friend, we just moved into our new house and I moved back here to Windsor from London and they asked for a suggestion on where to go for dinner and beer and this place immediately came to mind. We arrived and walked in, one of the servers told us anywhere we could find a seat we could sit and we chose a booth, and our server came shortly after that to take our drink orders. My boyfriend and his friend each got a Guiness and I got a Somersby Cider, and we each got water. Browsing the menu we decided on pickle spears, bacon covered pickle spears, potato skins and duck wings, those we ordered first and then browsed for what we wanted for our actual meals. I decided on the chicken caesar wrap with a greek salad, and the guys got shrimp tacos with baked beans and turkey pot pie and a caesar salad each. It all came out in good time. The food was absolutely delicious. The pickle spears were amazing with the bacon. My caesar wrap was tasty, the chicken was moist and the greek side salad was good. My boyfriend and his friend enjoyed their meals and the caesar salads. I had an amazing nostalgic time with them last night and I even saw some long time friends as well. You can't go to Cramdon's and not know someone. I can't wait to come back with friends and feel nostalgic again.

Nahhhh. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger because our waitress told me it had won an award. Well...the judges must have had a different cook that day. The burger looked amazing, but the moment I took that first bite, I was instantly disappointed. It was dry, wayyyyy overcooked, and just lacked any flavor that would make me want another bite. Now, I will give credit where it's due. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was also great, and I'd definitely come back for a beer and to hang out. As for the food? I'll pass next time. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but if you're going for the award-winning burger...your experience may vary.

The place has plenty of TVs, which made it easy to keep watching games and keep the sports-bar spirit alive a bit longer. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and everything felt easygoing in a way that suited the evening nicely. We got a few pitchers of beer at a great price, which certainly helped morale, and the French fries were an excellent bar bite option. From what others seem to enjoy as well, Parlay does a good job delivering that lively downtown game-day atmosphere without losing the simple pleasures of drinks, solid snacks, and a comfortable place to land. Overall, good postgame stop.

Wow... what a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. At first glance, as I…read morearrived at valet, I was genuinely proud to see this Black-owned brick-and-mortar in person for the first time. Unfortunately, I did not anticipate that it would also be the last. The valet attendant was attentive and professional, and the host staff greeted me as I walked in. So far, so good! The bar wasn't busy, but I figured it was still kind of early and things could liven up. I was meeting friends for a birthday toast, and they were already seated at the bar. When I approached, we were very excited to see one another, so naturally, we took a moment to catch up. I noticed there was one bartender in the service well who was busy making drinks and therefore understandably unable to greet me. There was another bartender conversing with patrons standing next to my barstool and another bartender on the far end. Now, as someone with a background in food & beverage, I naturally exercise patience in casual dining atmospheres because service can be a little laxed--which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm not expecting the bartender to teleport across the room because I walked in. However, in this case, after greeting my friends, we wanted to do a round of shots in honor of the birthday girl. After several minutes, we still had not been approached by a bartender. Not to mention, the bartender conversing just to my right was STILL carrying on with the same gentlemen patrons. After a continued wait, the birthday girl decided to flag down the bartender, who acknowledged us with eye contact... ...and then continued her conversation. Ma'am. That was very unprofessional, but we were in such great spirits that we decided to overlook it and try to get the attention of a different bartender. Now, hindsight being 20/20, we should've left right then. This same bartender, standing not even 3 feet away from us, eventually finished her conversation and walked away. She actually ended up standing at the service well in plain sight of us, where she then pulled out her cellphone to devote some obviously much-needed quality screen time. We were in utter shock. Within a few moments, the bartender originally on the far end of the bar had made her way to our side to take a new set of patrons' order who had just appeared to my right. Once again, the birthday girl calls out and asks if it would be possible for her to assist us when she was done. To our dismay, the lady looks at us with absolutely ZERO emotion and simply states, "Yea." Not exactly the response we expected, but hey... it's Detroit. We are natives, although I no longer live locally, so we know customer service isn't necessarily the city's strongest suit. ‍ After Ms. Dead Emotions prepared drinks for the new set of patrons, she followed suit with the previous bartender and walked over to the service well for some R&R with Screen Time Girl. And THAT was the moment we realized these bartenders did not come to work... They came to clock in. At this point, I decided to ask for a manager. The nice woman I approached asked me what it was regarding, and I explained what we had experienced and told her it was disappointing, to say the least. She seemed rational and understanding and offered to send a waitress to the bar to serve us. I thanked her and went back to my seat. It was obvious that the bartenders had been made aware of my grievances because their demeanors and facial expressions suddenly had a LOT to say. At that point, we realized training, support, and customer service may be an unrecognized area of opportunity by upper management. The server was busy with tables but eventually made her way over. She seemed very nice. However, by that point, we had decided we would leave. As we sat there conversing about this unbelievable experience and discussing other bars we could go to instead, a few patrons walked up to our side of the bar to introduce themselves and ask about our plans and whether we would stick around to have a drink with them. When we informed them we were leaving, they asked why. We gave them the short version as we prepared to leave. Sadly, they weren't surprised--but they offered AGAIN to make it right. Imagine customers offering to make it right. ‍ Just before leaving, one of our group stepped away to the restroom. At that point, Screen Time finally walked up and, exasperatedly, asked if we wanted anything. IKYFL. The birthday girl, who is sweet-natured, was understandably disappointed, so I decided, you know what? We'll take a shot for the road. A simple Don Julio Repo shot took longer than it should have... ...but the bill came IMMEDIATELY. And, of course, an automatic 20% gratuity was the cherry on top. At this point, all I could do was laugh. Beautiful restaurant. Great first impression. Unfortunately, the actual experience was a completely different story. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.
