Excellent experience with Dr Chiapel and his staff. Dr. Chiapel pulled my wisdom tooth within a minute once I was numb.

Dr Pernoud and his team thoroughly explained the anesthesia and surgery (Extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth 2 impacted). Their equipment may have looked older as the other review said but it was all completely functional in great working order. The office was clean and professional. The only side that had swelling or hurt was the side the two were impacted on. The stitches I can't even feel, and the bleeding stopped after about 30 min post surgery, I was able to remove the gauze. I would recommend this oral surgeon to anyone who has anxiety about the dentists office because they were great about answering questions and providing a comfortable environment. I'm most impressed with the stitches and care put into extraction. I wasn't able to get them removed as a teen, and being 24 with the roots fully formed, it still went amazing.

I left the office in uncontrollable pain, and was only given ibuprofen and Tylenol. I was told by Dr. Pernoud that that was all he could give me. After two days of excruciating pain I called in to his office, and was mocked for have a low pain tolerance, and given a few hydro condone. I went back in to his office a week later due to bleeding from my sinuses, still in horrible pain, numbness, and could not open my mouth. I told the nurse that I could not open my mouth very wide, and she told me that I was going to open my mouth and they were going to open it wide. When I got back to see Dr. Pernoud he told me to open my mouth, I opened my mouth and he very roughly forced my mouth open wider with his interments. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, he is greatly lacking in bedside manor and compassion.

To make matters worse, someone was screaming/moaning from the office for almost the entire time I waited. If it is was my office, I would have at least acknowledged that it was happening to those in the waiting room. When it was finally my turn to see the doctor, he wasn't friendly, never smiled and just acted like I was almost wasting his time. The whole visit with him lasted about 5 minutes. When I went to check out, I waited for the assistant for a good 5 minutes and then I told them to just call me so I could check out. They didn't call for several days. So, needless to say, I left and immediately looked for someone different.

I would not recommend the Oral Facial Surgery Institute to anyone. Moreover, I would not recommend…read moreDr. Gregory Tentindo to anyone. I was seen for a consultation to extract a wisdom tooth on 2/13. I thought I would just be writing about how rude the woman who scheduled me on the phone was, or the woman at the front desk's attitude. But first I think it's important that patients know how I was treated by Dr. Tentindo. I have gotten a lot of dental work in my life before, but I've moved around a bit, and I was eager to try a new office that recommended Dr. Tentindo as a surgeon. I was disappointed to find that Dr. Tentindo was a typical archetype- impersonal and disinterested. I'm sure he knows how to do dental surgery, but for me, bedside manners are important. He did not make eye contact with me, did not shake my hand or call me by my name. He recited and did not explain. It is rude and incredibly difficult to work with- I felt like there was no room to ask questions in the moment. Already being nervous about a surgery, the atmosphere he created did not help. What's worse is that it seems like he KNOWS this behavior is disingenuous, but doesn't seem to care. It makes me wonder why he is in a patient-facing position. That standoffish attitude is troubling to say the least. He made me feel so uncomfortable that I will not be scheduling to have my wisdom tooth removed by him. There's no way I could trust someone like that to put me under and work on my mouth. If he discarded me like that at the consultation, I can't imagine how he would behave during surgery. I want others to take caution and learn from my mistake. Please do not consider this office for your surgical needs. Hopefully he will take action in the future regarding the lack of interest in his patients and amend his distant and cold personality. But for now, trust me. Unfortunately, there's more to my experience. Upon scheduling my appointment, I was treated unkindly. The scheduler was rude when I stated that I didn't have insurance. She said "well then you need to have payment at the appointment," which sort of implies she figured that I would not have it. It is inconsiderate to the health insurance crisis at large, and insinuates a false trope that those without insurance are low class citizens not deserving of treatment. I also was confused because I called to be scheduled at the Mercy location and was scheduled for the Chesterfield location without any reason or clarification. I'm sure Mercy was booked, but being transparent with patients goes a long way. Perhaps this isn't protocol for this office, but I also was never notified about my upcoming appointment. I didn't receive any type of confirmation call or email. I called the morning of to double check my appointment, because I feared it hadn't actually been scheduled. I'm used to constant communication with any medical events in my life, so it really threw me off. It all made sense when I met the woman at the front desk. She was being rude to an elderly woman in front of me. The woman's prescription wasn't ready, and the woman at the desk was going off on her about how it wasn't their fault. The older woman was being gentle, obviously trying to diffuse the situation. I know how long prescriptions can take, so I didn't think too much into the situation other than noting how rude the receptionist was to the woman. BUT THEN, as I was leaving my appointment, I saw Dr. Tentindo on his cellphone, presumably with the pharmacy- he looked up and said, "I sent it two hours ago." With the rudest look on his face! How unprofessional can you be? Last but not least, when it was time to pay, I had to face the dreadful front desk lady. I tried to pay with a CareCredit Card, in my father's name, that he and I worked together to get specifically for the dental work. I have used this at other dental facilities with no issues. Honestly, the main issue wasn't even that the woman wouldn't let me use it, it was the way she was interacting with me that was uncalled for. I bit my tongue and we worked out a solution, but I am shocked at how subpar her costumer service skills are. In general, this office needs a serious internal audit--from the dentist, to the staff and it's overall affect on the atmosphere. I truly felt compelled to write this review because I think the office, specifically Dr. Tentindo, needs an honest opinion about the way they are treating their patients. Good luck to anyone who goes here, you'll need it.

I particularly wanted a Cosmetic Dentist, and Dr. Mike Frith came highly recommended. I called his emergency number, and he met me at his office on the holiday weekend!! He performed a much better overall screening than any of the other 3 and also saved me money by not trying to veneer my bottom teeth (the other dentist wanted to just replace everything when I latter found out that was really going overboard). Stated that my lower teeth were fine and it was better to keep my real teeth. This saved me money now and will help in the future when, at some point, I have to have the veneers retouched. He definitely came across as a caring guy for his patients. I had cracked one of my temporary's and he came in on a Saturday morning out of his busy weekend to help touch it up so I wouldn't look a fright. I can't say enough good things about this guy. I have been to a lot of dentist but none quite stand out like the stand up guy Dr. Frith is.

I've gone through wisdom…read moretooth removal, double jaw surgery, and hardware removal with him in the last couple of years and couldn't have picked a better surgeon. I put off getting my wisdom teeth removed for nearly a decade because every surgeon I saw told me I would be left with permanent nerve damage based on the positioning of my teeth. Dr. Morris got my wisdom teeth out with no lasting impact. I had a terrible experience with another surgeon preparing me for major orthognathic surgery (double jaw surgery). Dr. Morris took over and made sure I was informed every step of the way. He stayed with me through my recovery, often accommodating last minute appointments on a weekly basis. He even showed up to the hospital to check on me on a weekend when I was readmitted after my surgery (at no fault of his own- I'm immune compromised and had some persistent infection issues). The whole process was easy to navigate, including appointments, dealing with insurance, etc.. His team is awesome, and they always made me feel at home in the office. I truly felt like everyone there was celebrating my progress each week I came in during my recovery. I see some of these other reviews complaining about his bedside manner. If you want someone to coddle you and sugarcoat things, he's probably not your guy. If you want someone to actually support you, show you genuine respect, give you real medical advice, and deliver perfect surgical outcomes, you've found the right place. The medical procedures he did for me have changed my life, and I'm so glad I trusted him. Dr. Morris is the best of the best.
