I was…read morenervous about my almost 3-year old having her first real cleaning and not going to a pediatric dentist. However, the dental hygienist who cleaned her teeth was AMAZING. She took the time to explain each tool to my daughter and let her test it out. Then, the dentist who checked on her teeth was so kind and sweet with her. The ladies at the front desk are also the best- so kind and helpful!! Ultimately we had a great first experience for our daughter and I'd recommend them to anyone!!

First was from the…read morePatient Account Specialist and she did help explain the new charges but was still unwilling to give me an appointment until I gave them a "reservation fee" of $120. She said my crown was there but I could not get it until I paid her for a reservation. While I did have the money, I was unwilling to pay to make an appointment. I think their policy of paying to make an appointment is ridiculous and unheard of. There are simply way too many dentists in Eureka to have to abide by such a draconian policy. The second call I received was from the Office Manager, and she did seem to care about my frustrations and did agree to a payment plan to address the additional (hidden/uninformed) charges. She also lowered the reservation fee from $120 to $100. She explained the reservation fee would be applied towards my procedure; that they employ this concept on longer procedures to help ensure patients show up for their appointments. Although I emphatically disagree with the reservation fee concept, I did pay it (crown hostage fee) so I could make an appointment. Personally, I think Eureka Dental Group should adopt a no-show policy in line with other doctors that charge a no-show fee rather than charging a reservation fee. A couple of days later I received a call from Dr. Wehrmeister. He indicated it was his day off and he was calling because his Office Manager had informed him of my concerns and he wanted to try an address them. Dr. Wehrmeister seemed to genuinely care about my issues with Eureka Dental Group and I was impressed he took the time to call me on his day off to talk thru my recent experiences. After about a 20-minute conversation I felt comfortable Eureka Dental Group valued me as a patient and cared for my satisfaction, despite their unwillingness to concede the reservation fee policy. I went on about my day and received a second call from Dr. Wehrmeister about 15-minutes following our previous conversation. To my surprise, Dr. Wehrmeister said he talked with his Office Manager and they felt the fair thing to do was to pick-up my out of pocket increase that was not communicated to me until after the fact. This was one of my biggest concerns/complaints and I feel they have adequately addressed this concern. Likewise, I am changing my review from 1-star to 4-stars and will give EDG another opportunity to retain my business. Thank you, Dr. Wehrmeister and Eureka Dental Group Team!!

I particularly wanted a Cosmetic Dentist, and Dr. Mike Frith came highly recommended. I called his emergency number, and he met me at his office on the holiday weekend!! The result was a"masterpiece!" Thank you, Dr. Mike!! The work was painless and beautiful, and the price was better than reasonable. I recommend Masterpiece Smiles highly.

He performed a much better overall screening than any of the other 3 and also saved me money by not trying to veneer my bottom teeth (the other dentist wanted to just replace everything when I latter found out that was really going overboard). Stated that my lower teeth were fine and it was better to keep my real teeth. This saved me money now and will help in the future when, at some point, I have to have the veneers retouched. He definitely came across as a caring guy for his patients. I had cracked one of my temporary's and he came in on a Saturday morning out of his busy weekend to help touch it up so I wouldn't look a fright. I can't say enough good things about this guy. I have been to a lot of dentist but none quite stand out like the stand up guy Dr. Frith is.

Prior to the surgery my daughter had trouble breathing, slept with her mouth open and had an extremely weak chin. The surgery was miraculous! Post surgery, my daughter has no breathing issues, can sleep with her mouth closed and now has a beautiful profile with a chin perfectly proportioned to her face. In fact, her whole face seemed to properly align itself. She's a beautiful young woman. Most amazing was the post op recovery. She experienced very little pain! In fact, we only used about half the prescribed pain pills. Dr. Movahed was a stickler about the dos and don'ts of recovery - something extremely necessary with teenagers. I had to constantly remind my daughter that she just had major surgery and should take it easy with chewing hard foods. That's how remarkable this surgery was. The challenges of the surgery were traveling to St Louis and dealing with the insurance company. Dr. Movahed's staff was very helpful on both accounts. Jaw surgery is a major operation, and you want the best. In my opinion, Dr. Movahed proved to be the best with my daughter's life-changing operation.

After needing braces for the third time, I was introduced to Dr. Movahed. I was extremely hesitant to meet with him, and I only agreed to the consultation to appease my orthodontist. To my surprise, I agreed to meet a Dr. who completely change my mind about surgery. From my first visit, until now (9 months post-op), Dr. Movahed and his staff have been EXCEPTIONAL. The entire process was very smooth and I always felt like they truly took the time to get to know me and my needs, which put me at ease during the entire process.   Following my procedure, Dr. Movahed and his nurse practitioner were always a call or text away. I never felt confused about the process nor did I feel neglected in my care or communication regarding the procedure and recovery.   I felt like it was very critical to follow ALL of the "rules" after surgery. I was very intentional about following the instructions, and my recovery went very smoothly. Some days were mentally rough, due to the limited diet you have to follow; however, with Dr. Movahed and my personal support system/family it was doable. Overall, I am beyond grateful that I went through with the procedure. I went into the procedure expecting minor changes to my profile, but the results are far better than anyone anticipated (for the better)! Dr. Movahed is truly more than just a doctor, he is an artist! One that takes pride in his work and is just as invested in each and every patient as they are in themselves.   If you are considering surgery (or highly against it like I was ) I recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Movahed and giving him a chance to walk you through the experience as he did with me.

I had surgery on 4 wisdom teeth cavitation sites with Dr. Moreland in April 2014. Unfortunately…read morethe whole left side of my face became infected - jawbone, sinuses, ears, and I was starting to lose my vision on the left side. I've spent about $15k trying to recover from the cavitation disaster at Dr. Moreland's office. I am so thankful that I am still alive, and want to share what I've learned so hopefully no one else makes the same mistakes I did. Pros: -Scheduling and billing are easy and well organized at this office. Cons: - This office does not use ozone. Never, ever have dental surgery without ozone!!! You are just asking for a nasty infection. - The helper forced my jaw open when I was numb and I heard a 'pop.' Dr. Moreland said 'Don't force it' but it was already too late. I had nasty Trismus and jaw pain. Trismus is very difficult to get rid of. - Dr. Moreland drains people's sinuses through their mouths. I've talked to two ENT doctors and one oral surgeon since my disaster with Dr. Moreland, and all of them agree that draining the sinuses through the mouth is a very bad idea. Bacteria, fungus, and mold in the mouth can then make their way to the sinuses. If the hole he makes doesn't heal, you will have to put a metal plate in the roof of your mouth to avoid chronic sinus problems. Thank God I didn't let him do this to me! - After surgery, when things weren't going well, I called Dr. Moreland's office every day. His assistants basically always said the same thing - this is normal and don't be a wimp. Moreland himself wouldn't talk to me until my sinuses ruptured and I demanded to talk to him. I asked if I could come back and he could open my infected side up again. He refused and told me to find someone locally to work with. - Dr. Moreland used a DRILL to drill up into my sinuses. Another oral surgeon later told me that you should never, ever use a drill in the sinus area. It felt like he was using a jackhammer, and I ended up with severe head trauma. I spent thousands at the oseopath and chiropractor trying to unravel all of the head trauma, headaches, and pain. Tips: - Cavitation surgery might be able to be prevented with ozone injections. Try those first!! In hindsight, I had 2 dentists, 1 MD and 1 oral surgeon all tell me that I probably didn't need the uppers done, they could've likely been resolved with ozone injections alone. - Do not do oral surgery with anyone who does not use ozone to help prevent infection. - Ask in advance if they force your mouth open during surgery. - If you do have cavitation surgery, find someone who will do ozone injections into each site after surgery. Reference [1] is a case from Dr. Moreland where even after surgery, there are still multiple cavitations. - Never let anyone drain your sinuses through your mouth. - Never let anyone drill into your sinuses. Period. - Try nasal ozone for sinus infections & ear infections - amazing! - Don't forget to support your immune system after dental procedures.
