She was my sunshine, always cheerful and reassuring which helped me to stay relaxed and be calm. I knew I was being well taken care of. Loved, loved her! Doctor Pallotta was undeniably amazing, even after post-op. He'd follow up with me to make sure that I was alright and comfortable with the new me. Dr. John Pallotta is very pleasant, friendly, informative and one of the most exceptional dentists that I've ever known. Even with his super busy schedule he was able to fit my mother in, I brought my mother to see Dr. John P. last year to have her crown put on. He was genuinely caring and dedicated many hours to ensure every steps were executed perfectly I can't express how grateful to have Dr. John worked on my mother's teeth. Dr. Pallotta is theee best! I wish there were 10 stars as I truly believe he deserves it!! His calm demeanor is what I love most about him. He understands how petrifying "the dentist experience" can be for some (namely, me) and dedicates himself to making sure I am at ease and comfortable the entire time. He has such gentle hands, or maybe it's that he's perfected his work so well, I no longer feel frightened, but rather trusting; which is something I've yet to experience with a dentist. Lastly, I enjoy that he speaks to me as though I am a patient, and not a fellow med student as so many doctors make this mistake. I feel he educates he on his findings and procedures, which takes the "mystery" out of things and gives me even more confidence to trust and know I am in great hands. I fractured my one and only crown after biting into a Girl Scout cookie and required a replacement crown. Honestly, I had no idea that crowns needed to be replaced eventually. Naively, I assumed I would never have to do anything again for that tooth, as I am religious about brushing and flossing and getting checkups. I am so glad that I met Dr. Pallotta. I dread any kind of dental procedure and get extremely nervous if I have to have something done. During my initial visit, he listened patiently to my concerns and made me feel safe and comfortable. When he was placing my new crown, he was very calm during the whole process and that helped me to relax. Also, he made sure that I was happy with how it looked and that the new crown color blended naturally with my smile. It looks great now & I'm pleased with the results. And, I'm particular about cleanliness, and his office is spotless. They also have little touches like bottled water and a massage chair. I see Dr. Pallotta regularly and I love getting my regular check-ups and cleanings there. They always catch my cavities early on and getting them filled never hurts since Dr. Pallotta and his assistants are very gentle. Recently I expressed curiosity in getting veneers. Dr. Pallotta suggested a new type of ceramic veneer that isn't permanent, and that way I could remove them if I didn't like how they looked. Fortunately, I loved them! They look great! I no longer have a gap between my two front teeth and I already forget that the veneers are there since I can hardly feel them. They are smooth to the touch and could not look any more real. It only took a little over a week for the veneers to come in and Dr. Pallotta was able to put them on immediately. He is the best cosmetic dentist I've ever had and I highly recommend seeing Dr. Pallotta if you live anywhere in the Boston area. His office is in a lovely town called Lexington and you can get there in 20 minutes by car. It is always worth the visit. read more

Dr. John Pallotta is a dental genius. I've seen him for checkups for a few years now, and can't recommend him highly enough. His professional demeanor and calm presence makes the (normally harrowing) experience of cleanings and fillings an actual pleasure! But it is his attention to detail and precision in more severe dental matters that makes me want to give him at least 20 stars. To illustrate: last weekend, at the apex of a Sunday-funday pool party in Miami, I dove into a swimming pool that proved to be too shallow. BAM, half of my right front tooth cracked right off. Noooo! After my initial freak-out, I called Dr. John when I got back to Boston. At the office, the receptionist, greeted me with great compassion. Without any pain or judgement, he swiftly crafted a new tooth for me, like magic. It' incredible- it looks like my old smile! I used to see Dr. Pallotta (~10 years ago) and really loved the practice but then moved out of the area. I will say I am so glad I am back! I have tried other dentist and no one compares. I'm a pretty nervous dental patient and really sensitive to dental pain. Dr. Pallotta makes sure that I am completely numb before starting, does check-ins throughout to make sure and is extremely patient and reassuring. I had stopped going to the dentist (because I hated the ones in my new area) so when I came back to the region I had some significant work to do that went beyond my dental insurance coverage. Dr. Pallotta and his office were really great in helping me come up with a payment plan that worked. I dont live that close to Lexington but would gladly drive the 40 min to see Dr. Pallotta than see anyone else. read more

John is the only dentist that I have had since I left my pediatric dentist a few years ago. I was so nervous to switch because I had only seen one dentist in my just over 30 years, and that's the longest relationship I've ever had! I have known John for years, and my husband was already a patient since he was too old to be a new patient at my former dentist. I love the staff in the office, they are the friendliest bunch you will ever meet! They work hard to make sure you get in for your appointments, and to reschedule if you miss one. The last time I was there, the hygienist removed some leftover cement from the back of my teeth from the braces that I had in middle school! I have had a lot of different dentists over the years but I can safely say that I have found one I will be sticking with. I first came to Dr. Pallotta's office because my previous dentist was quoting me for some very invasive and expensive work on a potential root canal. John took an x-ray, disagreed with the previous dentist's observations and filled my cavity. Right off the bat he saved me pain, anxiety, and money. I have a lot of dental issues for various reasons including improper brushing techniques (working on that!) and having a poor PH balance in my mouth.. no judgement from him or the assistants. When my Arlington dentist retired, I followed his associate, Dr. Pallotta, to his Lexington office. I've had a few crowns fitted in the past few years by Dr. Pallotta, and with some repair work necessary for my front teeth, I opted for new crowns there too. He showed me some before and after pictures of other work he has done so I had every confidence that Dr. Pallotta would improve my smile. My only concern was what I would look like with the temporary crowns while waiting for the permanent ones to be made. Dr. Pallotta assured me that he would make custom-fitted temporary teeth. And he did. My temporary smile looked great, but the end result - the permanent crowns - are amazing. They look natural and have forever improved my smile. read more

I arrived at Dr. Pallotta's office about fifteen minutes early and he was able to see me before my scheduled appointment, which was highly appreciated. The appointment was for three fillings. Dr. Pallotta was able to numb me properly without any complications. This was a nice contrast to some of my experiences with other dentists in the past, who took multiple tries to numb the proper area. After numbing me, he was able to complete all three fillings both quickly and flawlessly. He is welcoming and easy to talk to, yet also professional; the same goes for the rest of his staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Pallotta for the past year. I am so glad I was referred to him. In the past I was unsatisfied with previous dentist and would change frequently. Nevertheless I am so happy that I found my dentist for life. He is an amazing dentist that is caring and explains each procedure while making you feel the most comfortable. I went to him for a second opinnion as my primary dentist told me I needed a gum graft right away. Dr. Pallotta was really professional but relaxed enough to put me at ease. He said my gum graft could be put off for a few years as it wasnt a critical thing at that point yet. He suggested an electronic toothbrush to help with my gums and even showed me where my problem areas were. I like that he wasnt all about making money off me. Also that he told me steps I can do to make my mouth healthier and prevent costly procedures in the future. You can tell in your first appointment that he is really passionate about what he does. I went to John to get some work done for a filling that had to be replaced. The atmosphere was welcoming and the receptionist was very nice. John was very prompt in meeting me at the time of my appointment and he was also very friendly. The work he performed was top notch, and quickly done while having great attention to detail and attending to my dental needs. If you can, I highly recommend you take a visit to John's office and get some work done you may need. He only does what needs to be done for you and will not try to up-charge you for some flakey work like other dental offices have done to me in the past. It is not often that I rave about a dentist but this is the one to rave about. I was in trouble a few years back when my dentist retired and I was looking for a progressive and skilled dentist. I also had problems with my teeth being a child of the 60's. Thankfully I found Dr. J and I have never regretted it. He has worked with me in improving my dental health immensely!
