I am still coming to this practice after many years. Dr Putt is truly exceptional and has a great staff supporting him. I have had fillings, crown and two 2 permanent crowns after implants, at his practice. Treatment has been easy and comfortable. I never had any complications. Recently I had an infection that he discovered (after I complained of pain) below a lower molar and unfortunately I needed an extraction. He examined the surgical site a month later and reassured that all healed very well and the spaceI should receive a new implant well. Despite taking care of my teeth in adulthood, I have had many issues. maybe because I grew up in the UK in an area without access to fluoridated water. Despite all this, my teeth look and feel good and my gums are healthy. read more

This pains me to do this as a customer of 15 years at this practice but this is NOT the same practice I came into. Dr. Putt has been spending too much time on the golf course (at least that is the explanation by the technicians to why I have not seen him the last 5 years). The front desk now is incredibly rude and condescending. If you don't have the right insurance, get out, if you have a question, we don't have time for this. The last hygenist I saw was yelling at me the entire time, and telling me all about how much her life sucks. The hygenist I saw for many years who was amazing left the practice unfortunately. And when I first joined they were willing to work with me on a dental plan that works for me. Now it is aggressive treatment and pressure sells that requires X-rays every 6 months and deep cleanings. If you don't like it, I was told by the front desk to GET OUT. Ok you got your wish, good riddance. read more

Do yourself a favor and switch dentists before making your next appointment. My entire family has been clients of Wayland Dental for over a decade, and they are NOT the same practice. I just took a new job and have to move out of state. I was overdue for an appointment and worked with the team to squeeze in before my move. They have a new receptionist team that is incapable of running this business. They rescheduled and kept playing musical chairs with their clients appointments trying to move them around. I just went in for my appointment finally, a few days before my move- for them to tell me they do not take BCBS anymore and would charge me $450 for the appointment. When asked why I wasn't notified of this , they claim they had Delta Dental on file for me. (Later when I called back- I told them my appointment in December with BCBS and they confirmed that is who they billed out.) For months I've received emails from them telling me I was due for an appointment and to call and schedule. NOTHING about no longer accepting BCBS. I left the office so upset and called back to speak with the supervisor, Crystal. She was just as incompetent as her team. She said "if it was that big of a deal, they would have billed out to BCBS and had me mail them the check..." when I clarified that she meant bill, she corrected and said check. She wanted me to pay my insurance for seeing them out of network, and then wanted me to pay THEM whatever portion of my appointment that insurance would cover... wow they truly care about the customer... I requested a call back from Dr. Putt and plan on telling him what a disaster his team has become. When it was him and his one front desk receptionist, they might have been short handed- but they were good and actually cared and had their sh*t more together than they do now. Now I have wasted time making appointments, going to an appointment I had to leave, talking to them, crying in my car, and writing this post- all to be moving out of state with a new job, stressed as can be, and overdue for a dental appointment (after getting completely screwed over by the practice my family and I have given business to for over a decade.) I am beyond upset, and cannot advise others more to find a different dentist- this is NOT the same practice that it used to be. read more

Excellent services! Wayland Dental is conveniently located on Route 27 adjacent to Dunkin Donuts. The staff is terrific and very professional. My hygienist was so thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. Dr Putt examined my teeth and mouth for preventative care and offered suggestions on future visits. He has a military background and has spent time in Africa helping soldiers and residents with their dental needs. Was seen right away on Monday and was not a patient at the time, Dr Dani repaired it enough to get me to the following week when I had a root canal and the next day a new crown. This guy/practice has no interest in your oral or general health. He only wants to make money off you. My husband and I were clients of his practice for years but now, the minute you walk in you're going to be presented with a "treatment plan" with as many procedures as they can possibly tack on. A simple cleaning will cost you well over $500, including x-rays and almost $100 for the dentist to literally just look in your mouth. If you don't want to have your head and neck irradiated (x-rayed) once again, they'll literally deny you the cleaning, throw you out of the office and sneer "have a nice rest of the day" as you exit. Dental hygienists cost the dentist money; x-rays cost the dentist very little once the machine has been purchased. Look for a practice that cares at least as much about your health as they do their bottom line. Look for a practice where the staff are honest with clients. In other words, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere than this practice. read more

Dr. Putt's practice is state-of-the-art. He employs all the modern tools to do battle with that dental problem. He communicates during every step of a procedure, as to the plan and how it is going. He and his staff are genuinely caring professionals, including day-after follow up calls. I've always noted how meticulous he is in executing a filling, crown etc. I had a problem that needed to be evaluated recently. From the time I made the call to sitting in the chair was about two hours. In the current COVID climate, I am very reluctant to set foot in any indoor location. The one major exception, three times now, has been Wayland Dental. Dr. Putt has fully addressed the common-sense precautions (including one way travel from entry to exam room to exit - nice touch) and has also added an impressive array of air purification equipment. I've had no hesitancy (other than "who wants to go to the dentist?") in making appointments here. I would (and do) recommend Dr. Putt and Wayland Dental. read more

Wayland Dental offers good service, however they do not offer the prepay program anymore which was $437 for 2 visits a year, cleaning, exams and one set of X-rays. I just paid $393 for one visit which is basically double the price I had been paying. Very disappointing. read more

Due to an emergency, I was frantically searching yelp for a dentist that was open in the late evening. They were getting ready to leave but graciously stayed late for me. Everyone was friendly, kind, and very sweet with my little one. So grateful to Dr. Putt, Terry and Rosemary for making it a positive experience for my young daughter as this was her first dental visit under not so great circumstances. I have been going to Dr. Putt at Wayland Dental for several years now and have had many services he provides - cleaning, cavity repair, capped tooth, referral for an implant, and Invisalign. All services were done impeccably, comfortably, pleasantly, and with the latest technology. They even make their own tooth caps in the office so no waiting for weeks with temporary caps! Terrible, terrible experience. Got a phone call from Dental Office, saying they are cancelling my December appointment. No availabilities till April. Told receptionist this was unexceptable and she told me I was being unreasonable and then hung on me. Had to call the Office back, and voice my greviance . I was told first the receptionist was a Temp and second they are short handed with hygentist. Seriously, looking for a new Dentist and I don't have a Dental appointment. One would be hard pressed to find a dental patient with more anxiety than I have, yet, I can honestly say that my anxiety has been drastically reduced by the doctors and staff at this office! I am new to this practice. Dr Putt has a gentle kindness about him and explains everything thoroughly. Fortunately, Dr Braga, the periodontist, (who also has a wonderful sense of humor) works with this group one day a week so further issues can be addressed all in one place.
