That being said / I'm still wanting a good tamale. I decided to go to George's because they offer fantastic desserts made just like the ones my mom, grandmothers and aunts all make. I thought they may also have tamales! Well what do you know - they do offer both! I ordered and promptly disposed of the tamale spread (as it's called on the menu)! It was delicious - several meaty tamales covered in a homemade chili sauce with cheese and a generous helping of chopped onion (optional for others - but not for me). The tamale spread was awesome! I had ordered a piece of chocolate cake for my appetizer (not unusual for me). I finished that piece of cake after I finished the tamale spread. I washed all this down with some splashes of Louisiana Hot Sauce on the tamale spread and a large glass of ice water that was generously refilled by the fantastic server, Heather! Bryce, the owner, told us he came out of the IT profession and has been building this business for the last couple of years, and it shows.
