I called ahead to make sure we had a table and told them we were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We arrived and they had a table for us but zero mention of the celebration. As we were ordering dessert I mentioned the celebration again to our server (genuinely NOT looking for a freebie, just a little something to make it special, maybe a heart on top of the dessert in chocolate or happy anniversary on the plate, just something simple).
