Urgent Care confirmed it was fractured, with a deviated septum and slight (but obvious to me) deformation. After much research, I called their front office - knowing this was a timely matter they got me in the same week. After the consultation, Dr Paquet recommended a Closed Nasal Reduction to pop the bone back out and scheduled me for surgery the next week to ensure it would be done within 14 days. This was my first surgery, so I was very nervous but his team was warm and tender throughout the entire experience. Cece & Sarah were my nurses - they really took the time to make sure I was okay and checked on me frequently while I waited. Dr Paquet (Anesthesiologist) came in with a smile and made sure all my questions were answered and calmed my fears. Tasha and Jeffrey prepped me and made sure I felt comfortable and safe. I have encountered repeated issues with availability, communication, compassion, and empathy. Today's experience was particularly unacceptable. I waited more than an hour for a postoperative appointment while having an open wound that, from my perspective, has not received the level of attention or concern I believe it requires. I can visibly see tissue within the wound, yet I have felt as though my concerns have been minimized. At my first postoperative appointment, I was seen by a different surgeon who simply advised me to wash the area with soap and water and stated that it was fine. However, the incision was completely open. Given the circumstances, I found that response extremely concerning and dismissive. During my second postoperative appointment, I was left waiting in an examination room for more than 55 minutes without anyone coming in to provide an update. I eventually had to ask what was happening, at which point I was told that the doctor was busy with another patient. If the doctor was running significantly behind schedule, I believe I should have been informed before waiting for nearly an hour. After one hour and 20 minutes, I decided it was best for me to leave without being seen as I also have duties and responsibilities to attend to. I understand that medical emergencies and unexpected circumstances can arise, and I recognize that physicians may occasionally run behind. However, basic communication and consideration for a patient's time and concerns should still be provided. If I treated a client this way in my own professional life, I would expect there to be consequences. As a patient, however, I feel as though I am left with very few options and very little recourse. I am extremely disappointed by the care and communication I have received throughout this process. After nearly two years of complications, additional expenses, and emotional distress, I expect my concerns to be taken seriously and addressed with the appropriate level of care, professionalism, communication, and empathy.

For the past year this center has put on the wrong size system. The systems are too small. They…read morenever bothered to make any measurements and appeared to just take what ever is in the stock room and throw it on my head. I went for a service on July 1st and again the stylist tried to throw on a system that didn't fit. When I challenged her she threw a fit and returned with the manager who was less than courteous. After the impromptu measurement session it was confirmed that the system was inadequate due to its small size. What was the response? Perhaps, check stock for correct size system? Perhaps, reattach the existing system and put in an order for the correct size? No. This managers response was to order the stylist to put the incorrect system on anyway, then just walked out without saying a word. After this the stylist never bothered to ask anything about the cut. She just chopped super short without saying a word. A system that's too small doesn't work and immediately loosens because it's a smaller area, and has nothing to bond to. This center couldn't care less about this I suppose. So now we're into the Summer Travel and I'm stuck with a system that looks like a hat. They couldn't care less. I'll just start getting services out of state. Phoenix definitely needs a new center.

Then they transferred me to the local office since it was same day. They gave me the same run-around, but I thought, maybe that's how these things work. I arrived, and they asked me to fill out 3 pages of information prior to my consultation. I said, "first, can you tell me if this is a surgery center?" and they wouldn't answer. So I asked "Is this some kind of miracle cream pitch?" and they finally said "No", "we do surgery". I said I'd rather not have to fill out all the info as I was going to go to three separate consultations before making my decision on where to have my surgery, but she insisted. Ok, but really, 3 pages of my info before even talking to me? Ok, maybe that's how these things work. I filled it out, and while doing so, the office lady said "Let me turn up the volume on the TV as this is the initial part of your consultation". Seriously? It's nothing but testimonials and I already got that on your website. What a disappointment this was turning into. Then, despite having arrived 10 minutes early, the lady tells me that since I arrived so late, my appointment wouldn't take place for at least 40 minutes (or 2:10pm). What?!?! Is that how you do business? Why not just tell me your first appointment is at 2:10? I spent an hour of my day and a gallon of my gas to try and pay you thousands of dollars for elective surgery and this is how you treat your customers?!? So I asked the lady if I could have my information back as I was leaving, and she said "Well, since your hopping from doctor to doctor we should keep it". What?!?!
