They referred me to a specialist who did not accept my insurance and who wanted to charge me $250.00 just for a second opinion!! Dr. Degraff is "old school" caring, honest and professional. He explains what he's doing and why. He did the filling with no problem and did a thorough check and said I did NOT HAVE gum disease. It's been over a year and the filling he did is just fine. He does NOT push special treatments and his staff is friendly and competent. He does not take my insurance, however he does have very reasonable "new patient" fees. It's worth it to have peace of mind.

I had…read moreconsulted a couple of other dentists about a molar with a root canal that was hurting again and they all told me that getting it extracted and getting an expensive implant was my only option. Upon recommendation from a friend, I dropped into his office. Dr. Prakash, on the other hand, said there was better than a 50% chance he could redo the root canal and preserve my tooth - for a fraction of the price of the implant alternative. He did a great job and now, couple of weeks later, I am without pain and my original molar is still with me. And I didn't have to empty out my wallet! His staff was very friendly and I had a great experience overall. Highly recommend. There aren't that many dedicated dentists that look out for you out there!

The office ladies (especially Stacey) make sure my charges are fair and well explained. This is huge for me as there have been countless times I've forgone getting my teeth taken care of because I felt the dentist was taking me for a ride....on my dime. I'm glad to have a dental office that I feel like I can trust. The ladies that put their hands in my mouth (hygienists, dental assistants, whatever they're called) are understanding, kind and laugh at my weird sense of humor. It makes my ridiculous sensitivity and weird ability to go through Novocain at lightning speed more tolerable. I'm that person that gets stuck in a dentist's chair for 3 hours and this great team makes that experience more pleasant than a trip to the dentist can be. I only had two weeks remaining in my externship when I was unexpectedly removed from the site. What made the situation worse was that no one spoke to me directly. Instead, I was informed through my school. I found that extremely unprofessional. The biggest issue at this office is not dentistry. It is the way people are treated. The doctor is often rude, dismissive, disrespectful, and quick to criticize. There were multiple times when staff members were corrected or spoken to harshly in front of patients. In my opinion, that creates an uncomfortable environment for both employees and patients. Ironically, on the day I was removed from the externship, I was having a great interaction with a patient. We were talking, laughing, and helping her feel comfortable. Instead of encouraging that connection, I was abruptly told to stop talking and move away. The patient herself looked uncomfortable after the interaction. I want to give credit where credit is due. Ava and Kristen were the reason I learned as much as I did. They answered questions, encouraged me, and actually took the time to teach. Kristen is no longer with the office, and that alone should make people ask questions about the work environment. If you are considering working, shadowing, or completing an externship here, pay attention to how staff members are spoken to and treated. Technical skill is important, but so is respect. Based on my experience, respect was lacking.

She was very unfriendly and kept choking me with water and shoving the cleaning tools around my mouth during cleaning. She rushed through the process and explained nothing to me. At the end of the cleaning she threw toothbrushes at me then walked out. This evil should not be dealing with patients. With that attitude she should be working at McDonalds. Do better Dr. Blanks and hire a true professional. I wont be coming back to this hell hole.
