Possibly the worst Doctor/Patient experience of my entire life. TL:DR Never asked about the issue I was having, but diagnosed me with Meniere's Disease because he has it, so I must too. The long version- His assistant asked me what brought me in that day. I told her I wanted to speak to the dentist about it directly, because it was a long story. She said she had to tell him... uh, ok. So I told her my bite (occlusion) and nighttime clenching were triggering migraines. I don't know what the assistant told him, but Dr. White came in and barely said hello before he started lecturing me about migraines and how migraines are a vascular condition (it's not, nobody knows exactly what causes it yet, but currently scientists think it's neurological), not a dental one. He was the most rude, patronizing, and disrespectful person I have ever encountered. He never once asked me what my issue was, why I was there or how I felt (NOT ONCE in a two hour visit). He just told me how wrong I was for at least 20 minutes, and tried to educate me (ME! HA!) about migraines. **Side note- I've had migraines for 40 years. I get multiple types (as most migraines sufferers do) including classic, chronic, vestibular and occipital. I've been to neurologists in 7 states and multiple hospitals and universities, had more MRIs than I can count (first one at 7, most recent last fall), tried dozens of medications, massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic, different diets, acupuncture, have a therapist to help me deal with chronic pain, and so much more. When you suffer from this disease, you become VERY familiar with what can trigger it and how. ** After the lecture he asked if I was dizzy, (yes) and asked if my ears would ring (yes), and then he told me I had Meniere's Disease! So now he's a neurologist AND an ENT?! If he had one single brain cell he would have asked about my other symptoms which are in no way shape or form Meniere's. He also told me that it was impossible for my mouth or jaw to cause migraines (dude, smelling a flower can trigger my migraines. Get a clue) and basically said there was no such thing as vestibular migraines, that it was definitely Meniere's. I finally got a word in and asked him to look at my teeth (after all, that's why I'm here, nitwit), because my occlusion is visibly off, even to the naked eye. He took a 1 minute look and asked me to come to his office to talk. *I should have walked out.* He takes me into his office and continues to talk down to me while showing me videos on his computer, like I'm five years old, for an hour. AN HOUR! Still, not asking me about my problem, just telling me what it is (how on earth do you claim to know what is causing my problem when you don't know what my problem is?). My X-ray comes in from my other dentist (they tried to take one there, but the machine is broken) and he looks at it for a moment. He tells me it looks like I have a jaw issue and I'm probably going to need SURGERY (are you freaking kidding me right now?!), but he won't know for sure until I get a $1000 3D X-Ray. My apparent "jaw issue" that requires surgery is on the left, the issue I came in for is on the right. I wish I would have looked at Yelp before scheduling my appointment, it would have saved me time, money and sanity. Lesson learned. read more

I had been to the same dentist for 25 years, and sadly, had to find a new one. This office had great reviews and due to all the comments I read about them catering to anxiety ridden patients, I thought it to be perfect for me. I was not wrong! The receptionist was a sweetheart from the 1st email to the scheduling of appts. She is kind, beautiful and seems to be such a warm person. The dental assistant I was blessed to have was nothing short of exactly what my anxiety needed. She was patient, laughed at my silly comments, calmed my nerves, was gentle and such a beautiful person as well. The dentist was also very professional, explained everything to me, made sure I understood what he was talking about and spoke to me like I was an actual person- not just a patient to bill. One thing I loved- you know how the rooms are open at one end and anyone sitting on either side can hear eyour conversation? Well with Dr. White, he spoke quietly when we were discussing my dental health. (He showed me respect in a way that he may not have even realized!) He was gentle, kind, soft spoken and made my nerves disappear. Having social anxiety to the degree in which I do, makes it almost unbearable to go places without someone with me, but this is one of the places I am glad I did. Thank you! read more

My daughter needed her wisdom teeth removed. I couldn't get her into my dentist/surgeon of choice soon enough, so a friend recommended Dr. White. We paid a typical fee for the consultation, and since she only needed 2 wisdom teeth removed, the cost of that seemed typical as well. (We paid cash). 5 days after her surgery, she seemed to be in more pain than she should have still been in, so they asked her to come back in to check it out. He thought she might have a slight infection, so wrote her a prescription. Then they charged her an additional $70 for that 2 minute check-up! I complained, but they would not refund her money. That's just bad business. Stand behind your work, man! We paid you enough for it! My daughter has a follow-up in a week to remove the stitches (included), but we won't be back, nor would we ever recommend them to anyone else. read more

Dr. White ya been my dentist for 11 years now. I had bad anxiety when going to get my teeth cleaned or any other visit to the dentist I started off with my 1st visit in need of help due to a cavity that had grown to my nerve because another dentist didn't have time to fit me in his schedule. Needless to say my second visit was a root canal, Dr. white and his staff were very informative and made me feel that I could relax more and trust them! Ever since then I have grown more and more comfortable twice a year for my cleanings!!! They have amazing front desk staff and the hygienist are always very nice, and do a great job. The environment is calming and secluding for privacy, I would highly recommend if living in the area you go see him for a consult and talk with him about your needs! read more

I've had dentists that over diagnose cavities to make money, this man doesn't. He is kind and calming and even takes the time to fully explain why a procedure needs to be done, answering any questions you may have. He sedated me to take out my wisdom teeth and did such amazing work that I had barely any pain the next day. I have gotten most of my family to switch to him and many coworkers! I highly recommend Dr. White, he has made me for the first time in my life happy to go to the dentist! read more

He told me I had 11 cavities...yes, 11! He also told my husband he had multiple cavities. We switched dentists and they said no way that we had that many. He also broke a file off in my mother's gums and it remains there to this day. Proceed with caution. read more

I've had dentists before who seem to "overfix" or otherwise try to drum up business by fixing things that don't necessarily need to be done. Not Dr. White. This man and his staff are clearly honest and trustworthy, and that's worth its weight in gold to me. As long as I live in this area and he's around, he'll be my dentist. I have never had a worst experience in any health care setting both during a surgery and post-op. I like many looked online to find a kind and gentle dentist to take care of my wisdom teeth extraction. On my day of the extraction, I explained to the hygienist that I need more of the numbing agent then most and usually I need about three shots of it or I can still feel the pain of the tooth coming out of my jaw. As feared this was not taken into consideration and during my procedure I could feel the tooth ripping from the roots of my jaw. So as anyone would do I tried to alert the dentist by making muffled sounds through the device that was holding my mouth open. Instead of him stopping and asking "oh sorry does that hurt", he just kept going and it was not until I started crying that he finally stopped what he was doing. But he did not stop to console me but to make me feel like I had no reason to cry saying things like "if you don't stop crying, you will just have to leave" which of course made me feel worse. When I tried to explain to him that I was crying because it hurt, he insisted it's not that bad and that he would give me a minute to stop crying or he was done, and I could come back later. Which when you put down 400 dollars for a visit, it's not exactly like I can just walk out of there because believe me I would have. The bottom line is that John white had no business taking care of any type of patient if he can't have a decent bedside manner. Dr. White and his staff are always courteous. I feel comfortable when I go in for check ups because I know he is up to date on the latest dental related info. The office is clean and has plenty of parking. Scheduling is easy and they are always understanding if something unexpected comes up and rescheduling is necessary. Highly recommend! read more

Hello. I am 15 years old, and am a patient of Dr. White's. I had my wisdom teeth removed roughly a week ago. It was the smoothest procedure I have ever experienced. Everything was well executed, staff was extremely friendly and everything was handled very professionally. This practice is professional, and will treat patients like family.
