I had been going to Arden Premier Dentistry for about three years. I loved the front desk staff,…read morehygienist, and dentist. Then Smiling Faces took over. As far as I can tell the entire staff changed, including dentist and my hygienist, I have periodontal disease so the hygienist in the past made sure to really do a thorough job cleaning. The new hygienist was done in literary minutes. I was stunned when she was finished. I asked how did my gums look. Her response was, "Well, they didn't bleed." After the new dentist examined my x-rays and teeth she declared I needed 10 crowns. This is after I had been to the same office 3 1/2 months previously and the previous dentist said my teeth were fine. Needlessly to say, I told the dentist I was going to get a second opinion. The second opinion: I need three crowns. I will never go back to Arden Premier Dentistry aka Smiling Faces again.

The xray…read moremachine wasn't working well, the doctor barely looked inside my mouth and gave me a script for antibiotics and said call if not better then set me up for cleaning in a month. When a problem persisted I called and the front office told the dentist who said she would look at it when I came in for the cleaning which was 3 WEEKS AWAY! She did not call me back. When I came for the cleaning the doctor was too busy to look at me until the hygienist insisted she look at the abcess STILL on my gum. The doctor rushed in, lifted my lip with an ungloved hand, took a quick glimpse and said " Send her to endo" and walked out. I've always cared for my teeth with regular exams. This was caused by a popcorn kernel in my gum. I have now waited so long that I am appointed to an endodontist in hopes of not loosing a tooth that has been exposed to an infected gum for over a month.

I am someone who has terrible anxiety over going to the dentist and I have a tendency to put it off. I did tell them this when I made the appointment. On my first visit, I walked in to a beautiful, clean, state of the art dental office. The staff were very kind. They were helpful in keeping me calm and not nervous. Dr. DeKow was so kind and went over a treatment plan. I went back today to start this and received the same very kind treatment. I feel really bad that I can not remember the dental assistants name but she was amazing. She checked on me, kept me calm, she was so sweet and very professional. Dr. DeKow was so kind, made sure I was doing ok through the entire procedure. I will recommend this office to anyone and everyone. They also take multiple insurances including mine. And, last but not least, they do not play elevator music.
