    English Breakfast with "missing eggs"
    Jaime A.

I used to like this place, the service is ok, but mmm last time I went, they brought me something different from what I ordered. I told them but they were checking orders first before even acknowledging their mistake, they apologize later but didn't seem happy to change my plate. This is the 4th time that had happen under their new administration . Not happy here .

Walking in Johnny G's made me want to order breakfast. It's got that good, old-fashioned dark-wood and noisy-chairs interior that screams satisfying hearty bacon and eggs and hash brown mashups that leave you logy and ready for a nap. But I was here for the "sale" on fish and chips advertised on the tent sign outside the front door. Can't go wrong with the deal they are currently offering currently during rona-days. I ordered the halibut and chips and a pop and left with a hefty greasy bag of goodness. Check out my photo for a pic of the massive square chunk-o-fish! Wow, eh? What a meal, and I didn't feel to wiped out after eating it for lunch, going back to work without a hitch. The batter coating was just right, and fries were excellent, and extras were all there with a tiny cup of Cole slaw, the mini packs of tar tar sauce, and as well the necessary malt vinegar to complete the experience. This is the type of meal that I would pay twice as much for in a British Pub and was just as satisfying. The only criticism of this meal was that the fish seemed a tad dry, but I had absolutely no problem finishing off this huge chunk o white goodness. Man, now I want it again!

    Eggs Benedict. Held the sauce.

We stopped here for brunch. service was friendly and attentive. The servers were very interested in making sure we were satisfied. The food was hot and attractively prepared and tasty. The prices were quite reasonable given the quality of the food and the coffee was quite good and bottomless. We sat and talked and no one rushed us. We would definitely return next time we are in the area.

Came for dinner and ordered the chicken pesto fettuccine for $18. Fettuccine isn't my preferred pasta shape, as I prefer "forkable" shapes like penne, rotini, or fusili. But this was a complete surprise. It was great, probably one of the best pastas I've ever eaten in the city, better than a number of specialist pasta restaurants. Don't know about their other menu items but I'll be back for more of this. Wow.

Great breakfast for a great price ! The menu covers the basics such as breakfast, sandwiches, salads, burgers and other comfort favourites. I ordered the big breakfast and it comes with 3 eggs, a good selection of meat, toast, fries and delicious bottomless coffee! Great food quality and very friendly service. I would highly recommend this place!

    6"1 hand for scale ;)

Stopped by for haddock fish and chips with no regrets! The value was on point and friendly customer service :)

I joined my two regular diner-mates and a surprise first-timer here this a.m., and on a beautiful day with the huge "garage door" windows open, it's a great space with the morning sun washing in. It looks hip and trendy from the outside, but don't worry, it's just a greasy spoon. ;-) My breakfast special was A-OK, but with nothing exceptional. (Typical diner coffee, boring "Wonder" brown toast, and cubed and deep fried - but home made, methinks - home fries...see Connie T's photo). 2 of my friends had the Corned Beef Hash which they pronounced, "meh". Our lovely newcomer had one of the breakfast specials which was very good. I forget what it was called. Sooo, the space is great on a nice day, the service is friendly, attentive and quick, and the food is average. Good value for a typical diner meal.

I ended up here because gourmet burger next door was closed. I was hungry and look at review for this place it looked decent. Thou seem like might be good or bad but I'm taking my chances Got serve almost immediately, so that a plus. Small diner, decor isn't anything special thou. On the table was still wet didn't bother to wipe it down. Still a bit sticky. I should note its been about 20 mins wait which isn't bad. Eggs, sausage, ham, bacon and home fires were good. My only was hard slightly toasted toast. All in all a good meal, service was lacking, waitress was friendly but didn't really check in much on me. She went out in front of restaurant to smoke, I guess they dont have back entrance. It's off setting but what can you do.

This location does gluten free, so definitely worth looking into if you need to/ are avoiding gluten. I wasn't craving something so deep fried so I got the shrimp po-boy. The fish and chips my bf ordered were delicious. Good fry, the fries tasted good, and the vinegar coselaw was good. The po boy wasn't as great. The shrimp were cooked beautifully but the bun was cut completely open, so you get the top bread and bottom bread separated. It was impossible to eat. As soon as I picked up the roll, the structural integrity failed and all my "stuffings" fell onto the plate. It was no fun eating with the fork and knife. Flavours were good though. The creamy coselaw was not my cup of tea. It was very mayo-y, which was a bit difficult for me to enjoy. I think it needed a little something citrus to brighten it up. I also was looking forward to my brussel sprouts, which were unfortunately forgotten and I never ended up getting them. By the end, it wasn't on my bill either so I think they just kept forgetting about them. They were definitely available though because someone at our table ordered them to-go. Overall, service was friendly. If you're in the area and looking for some fish and chips to hit the spot, this might be the place for you.

This had a good mixture of pistachio and almond flavours. It was mainly almond ice cream with pistachio pieces. The only difficulty is that 30% of the pieces were a little too big for the straw; probably this flavour was never meant to be used as a milkshake. I had to take tge straw out and such out the pieces from the other end. Review 2025-255

I tried the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream and the sugar-free Black Cherry. There are probably only one or two sugar-free options, but the pricing is really reasonable and definitely cheaper than the GTA. The Peanut Butter Cup was good, though I wish the chocolate flavor was a bit richer. I'd give it an 8/10. The Black Cherry was delicious and easily a 10/10. For food, I ordered the large fish and chips for $18. It's a great deal because the two pieces of fish are huge. The small order is $11.95. My picture didn't show it well since the second piece of fish was hiding underneath, but it was just as big. The fries are super thick, perfect for dipping in gravy. I got a side of gravy and loved it. It had that classic poutine flavor without being too salty. The only thing I'd change is I wish the fries were cooked a little longer. Overall, I'd give the fish and chips an 8/10. The diner itself is much bigger than I expected. You order at the counter, get a number, and they call it out when it's ready. What's cool is they also have speakers outside, so if you're waiting by the path or at the picnic tables, you can still hear your number. Bathrooms were clean too, which I always appreciate.
