OMG! I was so pleasantly surprised after coming here. I had tried acupuncture before, so I wasn't really expecting much, but after seeing 8 different kinds of doctors (chiropractor, rheumatologist, orthopedic surgeons, spinal surgeon, physical therapist, etc, etc etc) for chronic neck pain, I was open to anything. I was beside myself in pain one day, so despite the pricing here being slightly higher than other places I had found, the fact that they had appointments available same day landed me at their office. The office itself is rather small, but feels very comfortable. The rooms aren't super private - the walls don't go to the ceiling, so you can kind of hear what's going on around you in the office, BUT that also meant I could hear that Johnny washed his hands after exiting every room with a patient so that's a plus and actually did stand out to me very much! Well, the FIRST day, I walked out of there with an improvement in pain. It's definitely not gone, but it was the first time after all the doctors, specialists, medications, etc that I had spent a year and a half investing in, this was the best money I could have spent. The relief I felt mentally to finally feel relief physically is one I cannot even explain! I also really appreciated that Johnny said to me a few times that his goal is that I DON'T have to keep coming back, which truly shows me he's not just treating me for the sake of getting me hooked, but really for making me feel better. I appreciate their positive attitude and the one visit is enough to keep me coming back and hopefully keep improving! I do wish they offered packages - this would make it more financially manageable and would honestly make me more likely to continue coming in every once in a while even if my pain is completely gone, but that is a suggestion I made in person so hopefully it's something they consider in the future! Dr. Leung and his wife (receptionist) are truly one of a kind. I came in with a severe case of tendinitis in my left ankle, after months of podiatrist visits and physical therapy, as well as flat feet (both feet) that were swollen beyond the typical normal flat feet. After a consistent two months of treatment (1-2x per week), I am able to walk with much more ease and flexibility (significant reduction in pain was noticeable in the first few sessions). Dr. Leung also discovered issues in other parts of my body that I had never mentioned to him before, and although the acupuncture treatment has been a slow and steady process, it has proven substantial results. Dr. Leung and his wife did mention to me that I would have to make some slight lifestyle changes to increase the efficiency of the healing process, which have also proven effective. I have went to 3 different podiatrist for my hammer toe and they all told me that I have to get a procedure done to correct my foot. Before I went to Dr. Leung I was always in constant pain. I limp when I walk and no shoe brought my foot relief while walking. I made peace with the fact that I would eventually have to have this foot procedure to correct my walking and be out of work for 6 months because that is the healing time multiple doctors had quoted since I dance and am on my feet all day for a living. (9 hours a day) I heard about Dr. Leung by chance. I wasn't looking for a solution to my problem because I thought at this point surgery and being out of work for 6 months was my only option. By some crazy chance my mother was telling me her friend starting to go see some accupunturist and that he helped her avoid surgery with 1 of her toes. A bell when off in my head and I knew immediately I had to find out who this accupunturist is. I have now been going to Dr. Leung for 2.5 months. In this time frame. My limp has been improving. I am not as reliant on 1 leg as I used to be. I now have "good" and "bad" days. Before I couldn't walk 1 block without tearing up and thinking about how painful each step was. As a young 30 year old it is hard to come to terms with having walking problems at such a young age. Now, on a "bad" day I can walk atleast 30 min to 1 hour with mild pain before it becomes too much. On a "good" day I can spend an entire day with little pain. I am walking straighter and wearing certain sneakers that were formerly too painful to wear, again. My pain has went from a 10 to a 6. I was delighted to know that I was covered by insurance for 30 visits and all I had to do was pay my co-pay for a specialist. My first visit- Johnny saw me struggling to lie down for an exam and after his assessment asked me one question. Have you had significant digestive issues? I looked at him in complete shock as I never mentioned this in my intake form. I said yes and then he explained the cause of my pain. An hour later, I was able to have full range of motion back in my arm and the pain subsided.
