I don't even know where to begin with this company. So let's start from the beginning, I'll give you the facts supported by pictures then let you make your decision on this abysmal company. I called Johnny On The Spot for a tankless water heater diagnosis as I was unable to get hot water. A tech, Daniel, arrived that day to diagnose the issue spoke with a representative from the water heater company and got a part ordered that was supposed to fix the issue. Until then I could still bang on the heater and get hot water. Not a great fix but something to get me through until the part was supposed to arrive on the follow Monday, Thursday at latest. This is where the good ends from this company. Thursday comes and there is no part. I call Johnny and nothing no part they will "look into it." No call back, no update, nothing. I wait a few more days and call again on Saturday. Still nothing, Monday I contact customer support for my water heater company because they are closed on weekends for non-professionals. I get the tracking number from them and find the part was delivered the previous Monday. This is where bad goes to worse! Buckle up! Johnny sends Agustin, an installer with the new part. Everything goes in smoothly, or so I think but now no hot water whatsoever. I bang on the same part and somehow the problem got worse. The installer can't diagnose after I asked him if he could check it was installed right. The tech, Daniel, comes back to my house. I ask him to call tech support and go through to get the next part and get it working. That doesn't happen I am told it's going to break down again and I should buy a new system. I was quoted $8,000! The tipping point is now coming up. $8,000! I shake my head say no I can do that he says we can talk with his manager work the price down and what can I pay. The manager comes back with a price $1,000 more than what I said I could pay and asks these questions "where did you get that number from?", "Is that how much money you have in your bank account?", and "Will this price impact your ability to eat?" Who asks those kinds of questions. I get a knock on my door again this time being attacked by the manager on the phone who "doesn't know what he didn't wrong" and finally attacking me by asking "What am I going to do without hot water?" I called another company that night who sent someone in the morning to diagnose the problem. This new company called tech support as they were supposed to and diagnosed the within minutes. A liquid propane gas setup was installed. I used the online support of the water heater company to inquire if this part was standard when ordered, IT IS NOT. I do not know how to start with how AWFUL my experience was. Our water heater went out. We had Daniel come out and he said it was an issue with a part and we could " bang on the part" to get the in use light to come one. Not great, but a solution. The part was ordered and was supposed to arrive a few days later. We followed up, no part. A week later it was discovered that the part was delivered to the " wrong warehouse" but they could come and install it the next day- not great, but mail issues happen. This is where the decent stops. Two techs arrive to install the new part. The main gentleman installs the part and I commented that he did so very quickly, to which he replies that he "could do it with his hands tied behind his back" come to find out that the problem was made worse. No hot water at all. He says he will have someone who can diagnose come out to check. Daniel comes out and has me and my husband speak to his manager via phone. This " manager" tells us we need a whole new heater for 8k! Then insults us by asking us how much money we have in our bank account and if the price difference will make it difficult for us to eat. To add insult to injury, this manager tries to come back at us with another offer because my husband is former military and he ASKS for a positive Google review. No, sir. You were trying to scam us, threaten us emotionally by saying " what are you going to do without hot water" AND you insulted us about about our ability to buy food. I'm disgusted. If this is how he treats someone who is former military, how do you expect him to treat anyone else? Vegas deserves better than this. read more

The owner Johnny has a good crew working for him, from the office crew , always friendly on the phone to the install crew. They update via text when crew is on the way and they showed up on time each and everytime. Quick response too. We had all New duct work done and a New unit install. They did install with quick clean work. After install house wasn't as cool/cold as expected. They explained sometimes it takes a couple trips to do duct right On a New install. Eric the install manager came out himself and spent day in attic mapping out duct work. He came back with his crew and went up and did adjustments. Wouldn't recommend this business. They falsely advertise the types of jobs they can complete and then the technican will show up and say they can't do it. Total waste of time taking off work to come home, meet with them only to be told they can't complete the job. I had found this business via a Google search. Their website indicates they can work on, as well as install undermount sinks. I even chatted with a representative from their business through Yelp and specifically asked if they really worked on undermount sinks as I understand not many businesses do. I stated that I didn't want to schedule any appointment unless they really could repair or replace a sagging undermount sink. The rep confirmed that they do and the technician would come take a look and provide a quote and if I agreed to it, they could typically even repair it on the spot. That was great to hear! Just wished it was the truth The technician did tell me they could quote me for a whole new sink but it would have to be a drop-in sink. I said ok, let's see how much that costs and then I'll talk to my wife about converting the sink type. The technican took pictures and said he'd send it over later in the evening. I had an emergency bathroom flooding from a cracked toilet and a feeder line that was broken on a Saturday. I was scrambling calling multiple places claiming to be 24/7 emergency service. After striking out with the first two I found Johnny on the spot and immediately the communication was better. They did tell me they had multiple emergency calls, but they would get to me no matter what time it would be and kept in contact with status updates. When the Technician, Carson, came out he was professional, and very respectful of my home. He explained everything in detail and was able to fix the problem even when the other company said they would have to take multiple days to handle this. The price for the service was reasonable and transparent. He cleaned up everything and I really appreciate good emergency service on a weekend when I was in a tight spot. Things just keep getting better with my Johnny of the Spot relationship. This has been quite a 12-month for us. First, a repipe with new water softener installation. Excellent but long and tedious process. The workers were all fantastic. Second and most recently, a small problem brought me the crew of Jordan and Joel and they were absolutely outstanding. They noticed issues with my water heater and explained all the red flags they noticed. They quickly replaced it with a larger capacity getting everything compliant with the city's code. Scam artists...tried to suggest I needed a new AC unit. then told me they did a job that they didn't do as I've just received a second opinion from my home warranty and the part that I was "charged" for isn't even there. They really just changed a $20 part and went on to charge me $628 because they could tell I needed a fix at the moment being a 90 degree home but couldn't get me for $15,000 new AC unit and since I didn't have any options they simply changed the capacitor even though they told me they were going to add a hard start kit (which is not present) because what they told me was wrong was inaccurate. I wish it wasn't a Sunday where I couldn't get a hold of anyone because that was an outrageous charge for a $20 part. And they lied about me needing a new AC unit! read more

A few months ago, I received an alert from a water leak sensor indicating a water leak in an upstairs bathroom. Trouble is, the leak was at a property that's a four-hour drive from where I live. I drove the four hours, contacted a plumber to fix it, they came out, gave bad advice, didn't fix the issue, and a month later I received the same alert AGAIN and had to drive the four hours out once more for the same issue. When I called the same plumber, I got their voicemail and they never called me back. I had a very limited time frame to get this fixed, and although all plumber websites claim 'emergency service,' Johnny on the Spot was the only plumber willing to accommodate that. The plumber they sent, Landon, arrived a little late, but who can say how a prior call will go? Not a big deal. He was friendly, knew his stuff, and when I asked him what should be done, he said the shutoff valve, a ball valve, was bad and needed to be replaced, and we replaced the toilet for good measure, which he admitted and I knew was very, VERY old. It doesn't look like much, but you should have seen what was there before. Additionally, he fixed a bizarre problem out front where it appeared the previous homeowner had removed the main water shutoff valve and pressure release valve. I've had plumbers comment on that for years, and he was the first to say 'let's fix this.' It turned out to be a costlier job than I expected, especially with the issues out front, but after receiving multiple alerts, driving for hours, and a bad experience with a different plumber, I was glad to get these issues fixed and I believe the cost was comparable and fair. It also took him a LOOONG time to locate a round bowl toilet that was necessary for the small water closet, but he eventually did and it works very well. It's over a month later and no alerts, so it's nice the job was done well and I have that peace of mind. I have to be honest, with a name like Johnny on the Spot I wasn't so sure, but they were great, actually did emergency service, did a great job, and when I need a plumber they're who I'll call next time. read more

I definitely do not recommend these guys. They tried charging me $565 to fix a running toilet. Literally quoted me something like $275 for the internal parts ($12 at Ace Hardware) and $290 for the hose that connects to the valve on the wall ($6 at Ace Hardware). I told the plumber no one in their right mind would pay more than the cost of an entire toilet for $20 of parts and probably 30 minutes of labor. He gets his boss on the phone who didn't deny the parts only cost $20, and tried to justify their overhead as the reason for charging $550+ for labor. I had to remind them that they are plumbers, not lawyers. I ultimately told them to leave and that I was going to let the world know what criminals they are. So he offered to refund me the non-refundable visit fee, which I actually told them to keep, but they insisted. As he was walking out he confessed that they work on commission. Shocker. It's important to note that I live in a nice guard gated neighborhood so they obviously tried to take advantage of me. I hope this review finds its way to everyone considering using them. As a business owner myself, I can assure you these guys are extremely low integrity and not worth getting taken advantage of by hiring them. Definitely choose another company if you value honesty and money. I ended up having one of my friends fix for me. $18 in parts and literally took him 15 minutes. Unreal. read more

I entered a drawing about a month or so ago after seeing an ad on facebook. I completely forgot about it until JoTS contacted me and told me that I won a free HVAC tune-up. Someone from the office cheerfully scheduled the appointment. On the morning of the appointment, I received a call stating that the tech will be on the way shortly. I mentioned that I wanted someone to perform service on my water heater as well. I was told that a separate plumbing tech would need to be dispatched. I asked her to hold off and perhaps the HVAC person can take a peek and send some photos over in order for me to get a price before dispatching a second truck. The HVAC tech arrived. He was dressed in professional attire and introduced himself. He was up in the attic for awhile. When he came back down he told me that the UV light on my unit was going bad. I already knew about this but never got around to having it replaced. He said that my vents also need to be cleaned. He then gave me two different prices. The first was for $850 (basic vent cleaning plus the UV bulb replacement) and the second was for around $1200 (deeper cleaning plus UV light). I mentioned to him that I need to prioritize my repairs (water heater, then UV light, and finally the vent cleaning.). I asked him how much it will be just for the light replacement. To my amazement, he quoted me $350!! I thought that price was really high. I told him that I'll have to think about it and sent the tech on his way. I went up to the attic myself after he left and was able to determine the proper bulb that I needed. I found a company that has OEM products. The light was $75 plus tax and shipping. I'm really unhappy that JoTS tried to gouge me for $250 to install a light bulb! I understand that there are operating costs associated with running your business but I feel that this is highway robbery. I would have easily paid $150 for parts and labor but $350 is excessive. Because of this interaction, when JoTS contacted me to schedule the plumber to take a look at my water heater, I told them that I am not interested. Of course, I will not be contacting them to schedule the vent service as well. JoTS had a chance to build a relationship with a new customer but they blew it. My recent experience with Johnny on the Spot was disappointing. My toilet was leaking at the base, probably because of a worn-out wax ring. When the technician arrived, he immediately tried to sell me a new toilet, then started talking about a water treatment system, all before even telling me how much it would cost just to replace the wax ring--which he only called a temporary solution. Eventually, I got quotes for pulling and resetting the toilet, installing a new one, and adding the water treatment system. I was charged $49 for the inspection, which mainly consisted of checking water pressure and taking a quick look at the toilet. I was told this fee would be credited toward any service I'd choose. I opted for the pull-and-reset service to fix the wax ring issue. The next morning, another technician came out while I was away and my wife had to handle everything. She was billed for the full service $386, informed about extra charges (unknown since they won't provide the invoice), and the $49 credit was applied. We were told the final invoice would be emailed to us. After finishing my meeting that morning, I called the company to clarify the extra charges and ask for the final invoice. Despite sending multiple texts calls throughout the day and being reassured each time that someone would followup, we never received a call. Even after speaking with an employee named Rebecca on the phone the next day, several times and being placed on a long hold I still got no response. It is now the end of day and no response or final invoice from them. I feel like I'm being given the runaround. Failing to send the invoice promptly was unprofessional. The company seems more interested in upselling unnecessary services than actually helping customers, which makes me question their honesty. They say they will apply the $49 payment I made to the job but they didn't. They even charge me more than what's in the estimate but won't tell me what it is or provide me the final invoice. AI tells you it's $49 for moisture detection, thermal imaging, report. Once you book a girl calls and says sorry the AI is wrong. Absolute scam. Update: Instead of apologizing for a misleading AI which confirmed when asked 3 separate times "yes it will be $49 for thermal imaging and moisture detection" but turns out as SOON as you book it, you get a call saying oops sorry it's not that price.. They respond to the review making excuses. What would you do if you went to buy a car and the salesman said $20k and you confirmed 3 times to make sure, then you drove there and they say surprise salesman was wrong it's $40k. Then on top of that, they say hey guess what a lot of salesman use this tactic buddy stop leaving bad reviews for misleading service it's your fault? They are the only leak detection company I left a review for because you spend 20 mins on phone with AI and it confirms 3 times the price and precise details and they don't honor it. Misleading for sure and not taking responsibility for their actions like a stand up ethical company. Insane logic. read more

I really can't say how disappointed I am with the service I received from this company. They had high ratings on Yelp and Google and decided to go with them. They started out as what I would say is over communicative send notices and photos of who was coming and when they were on the way and arriving. A cam inspection led to getting our sewer drain needing to be flushed out (which i was also told to sign up for their member ship and it'd save me money), which led to having to excavate out our laundry room. Multiple people with cameras to locate the problem, multiple people said the problem was in a different spot. The decided not to send out a worker next day so I could get someone "fresh and rested." They came out to fix the small issues unrelated to the sewer line, but informs me they're going on vacation and was unprepared to start the work because they didn't have the camera and locater tools they needed. They left to get the camera. 40 minutes after they left got a text saying they be there within the hour, was another hour and a half. They decided it was in a different spot that the first person said and it was too late to start the work and they'd be back in the morning. The also left my clean out in my backyard open with a camera still in there. Got a call Tuesday that they're short staffed now and can start Wednesday. Not particularly happy since I wasted giving my dog medication for when we had people working on the house. They also continued to leave the clean out open. Wednesday, never got a notice of who was coming or when they were on the way. The guy who shows up never got the updated video and photos so they had to wait for another person with a camera to find the issue. I sent them the photos I took of the markers from the guy on Monday. They proceed to mark the carpet in my wife's office with a permanent marker (which they don't even go in there so now there's a black square on the carpet in the for no reason.) These guys also showed up unprepared even though they were on the later end of the tile window because they were getting equipment. Because of this they started breaking ground so late they couldn't even get to the line. Thursday again no notice when people are on the way. They get to the line ripping up the floor in my laundry room the guy tells me he can't even find the issue. Que an extremely long wait for another person with a camera to show up. They spend an hour looking for the issue and then another hour plus waiting for someone else to review the footage without any updates after being told they can't find the break that everyone else found in different spots. They finally came back and swapped some parts of the sewer line and didn't leave until about 730. They told us they don't do concrete and they'll have to ask the office who will do that when they're done with the dirt. So we weren't able to each or prepare food because no one would communicate what was happening and how long they'd be out. They come back today on Friday again without letting me know they're on their way. Spent the whole day back filing the dirt and the two guys who said they don't do concrete did the concrete so I have no idea if it was done right. They also tried to not fill it back to the floor level and had to call their office about it. They obviously aren't concrete guys because it's uneven. I'm not looking for a perfectly smooth finish but I was expecting it to at least be to the same height as my floor originally was. So now I'm gonna have to pay even more to correct that. I have no idea if there was an actual issue with my sewer after being flushed out. This company has lost credibility and trust from me. I've now paid an exorbitant amount for something I was told was an issue but the issue couldn't be found when they dug multiple feet into the ground to be told everyone misunderstood what the issue was. I feel like I was just taken on a very expensive ride. I was asked to sign to confirm work was done but I was never sent a copy of a work contract or a copy of what I was signing either, which should have set off red flags everywhere. Unbelievably disappointed with the whole situation. When I spoke with the project manager they said well they're short staffed and short on cameras and everything else. I was told they'd bring me a piece of drywall so I could patch the area they cut out myself because they don't replace the drywall they cut out, but that was never followed up on either. The employees that came to the house were all friendly enough and tried to be mindful of the house, but that doesn't make up for not knowing what was happening or if there really was a mistake and they decided to just replace some parts because they had already dug up my house. Received a quote for a whole plumbing flush for $5 to $8k due to a resin breakthrough from my soft water system. The problem was no where near as bad as it was made out to be. I received another quote and the job cost me $500, with every water fixture and attached plumbing checked and flushed. Nothing needed to be replaced as suggested by Johnny on the Spot. My water pressure and flow has been excellent for months. It is a litte erie to invite someone into your home, walk the entire house, not knowing they do not have your best interest in mind but shows differently in conversation to build your trust. read more
