The person that came and sat us needs to listen to he customer not the customers kid !!!!! It was a little bit cold outside, and I did not want to sit by a door opening and closing. He said how many ? I said "2, not by an opening and closing door please" ! He walked directly over and tried seating us next to the door that opens and closes. That was strike one! My hubby and I went here for lunch today; I was craving a good hotdog. I ordered a hotdog with grilled onions and cheese. Oh my, the onions were perfect! The bun toasted nicely and not greasy at all! My only gripe is when I ordered the tater tots with cheese it only comes in a large size. I still ordered it but a much smaller size would've been nicer. They were perfectly cooked and had enough cheese, very tasty. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and she mixed my iced tea with half sweet and unsweet. I thanked her for that. Well that was definitely nothing to write home about. I am willing to say, I have never eat at Johnny Rockets and now I know why. We ordered the chili cheese fries and I could have made the dish from a can of chili off a shelf from Walmart and would have come out way ahead. There was hardly any cheese at least not to constitute the cheese portion of the dish, and the plate was cold. The kitchen couldn't even have the decency to nuke the fries for 30 seconds to melt the bits and pieces that was sprinkled over the top. The milkshake was legit vanilla ice cream and Hershey's syrup. Nothing to rave about there, it was okay. The chicken was dry from the salad, I mean...I don't know what I was expecting. I guess this is just a glorified fast food joint. The waiter was sweet, bless his heart. I took forever to order cause it all just looked awful. Bottom line, my 5 year old said it was the best food ever. So there ya go. I took my grandson last night to Johnny Rockets for his birthday. He ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a strawberry banana milk shake. I ordered the chefs salad and a strawberry banana milk shake. His burger looked ok but I tried his fries because he was hardly touching them. They were stale and cold. The shakes were runny so that you could drink them. The salad would give you nightmares. Huge pieces of wild lettuce pieces. I picked most of them out which was more than 1/2 of the bowl. The waitress kept brining me plates to fill with the jungle lettuce. There were a few small pieces of tomato, 1 slice of a mushroom an about 5 super thin slices of chicken about 1/4 inch wide n 2 inches long n bland. The ranch dressing on the side was runny like it was watered down. Needless to say, the dinner was disgusting and cost $38.00. I will never set foot in there again. read more

I have been to Johny Rockets a dozen times and this particular location more than half of those. I find the service at this location to be far friendly and better than the one at City Creek, where I am often placed back by the restrooms due to being a mom with a young child (can I just say how much I hate that!). The food is consistent, nothing spectacular, but consistently good. And let's be honest, you don't go to a burger joint such as this for "spectacular" but rather greasy yummy burgers, thick shakes, and better than average fries - all of which you get at this particular Johnny Rockets. And for a family environment with my young toddler/baby in tow, I find this is one of those places that doesn't make me feel bad for bringing my child, unlike so many other restaurants. Johnny Rockets? More like Johnny disappointment. When I first walked into the restaurant, I had high expectations. The aesthetic was nice, like some classic 80 year old diner. and instead of being fast food, you sit down and have a server. I ordered the original hamburger, fries and a strawberry milkshake. The milkshake came in a glass cup with whipped cream and a real spoon which was nice, but I don't know if a glass cup and spoon make that milkshake worth $6.49. Unfortunately that milkshake was the restaurant's peak. Right after that they delivered to me a paper plate with a ketchup drawing. Sure, that's cute. But I hadn't gotten any fries yet so I just stared at the ketchup on the plate for around 15-20 minutes that it took them to make my food. I was the only customer in the entire restaurant and that's how long it took them to make my order so my expectations were pretty high. If they cook burgers fresh per order then they must be really good. When they finally delivered my burger and fries, my disappointment began to sink in. It seems that their aesthetic isn't the only thing that's 80 years old. Their recipes are too. Burgers and fries have come a long way since the early 1900s and you'd have no idea until you eat here. The French fries were too thin, bland and tasted unsalted. Furthermore, the ketchup drawing didn't contain enough ketchup to enjoy the fries. As for the hamburger, it had a single really thin patty which was so overcooked that the edges were hard and crunchy and it didn't taste great. I don't usually waste meat out of respect for the animal it comes from, but I actually picked off parts of the burger meat that I didn't want to eat. The burger had around 3-4x as much lettuce and onions as there was meat. It made me feel like a vegan and I got the option with the meat. The burger and fries really weren't enjoyable at all. That may be how they cooked it 80 years ago, but the lads 80 years ago wouldn't dare dream of charging you $20 for that style of burger, fries and a milkshake and then suggest a 20% tip on the receipt on top of that. Those are Five Guys prices without any of the food quality that make people enjoy eating at Five Guys. And at least Five Guys has the common decency to offer peanuts and stuff your bag full of more fries than you can eat so you can always eat your fill. After I left Johnny rockets, I went home and ate a snack because I was still hungry. $20 and I couldn't even fill my stomach. read more

This was awesome! We were a group of 4 ladies: one with dairy allergy, one with gluten allergy, and a diabetic and one who could eat anything. It was a tough request for any restaurant--but Johnny Rockets rose to the challenge! We had delicious food, served hot and tasty and there was a variety of options for all of our group. Otherwise, like every other time I've eaten here (3 to date) the food was bad, bordering on repugnant. My green salad was made from 2 cups of rotten lettuce, my lettuce wrapped chicken sandwich was covered in 3-4 tablespoons of mayo, and the "avocado" was disgusting. My meal ended up being a slice of tomato with the gallon of mayo scrapped off, and the worlds tiniest, saddest "grilled" chicken morel with as much of the nasty green stuff scrapped off as I could. This was my first time and I had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised that it was actually pretty good. My husband and I got the Cheese Tots, the Spicy Huston and the Smokehouse, I got to try some of both burgers and they were really tasty! The cheese tots were good even more so dipped in their ranch. The service was just okay, our waitress was really nice but our host seemed like she was having a bad day. I'm not sure if the crispy bacon, the crunchy onion rings, or the dripping goodness that made me most happy. I tried a few menu items, all were fine: Philly Cheese Steak: (3 stars) This was fine, the portion was pretty good, it was too dry, however, and it hurt the flavor somewhat. Fries: Also pretty good, along the lines of Red Robin, served with fry sauce and ketchup. Sweet Potato Fries: Also good, I liked them better than the regular fries. I don't crave beef hardly ever anymore. I made friends with a cow once and now every time I eat beef, it's akin to the thought of munching on a canine-friend. The vibe here is classic 50s diner. The food is quite good. I'm really here to let Kelly know how awesome a server she is. Every time we're in the restaurant Kelly is bright and cheerful and outgoing. Tonight it was almost like she was the only server. She wasn't. But she seemed to be everywhere. She was helping several tables near us, seating tables and cleaning up. All of it seemed so effortless. All the while she was looking to ensure that everyone in the restaurant was being taken care of. Kelly made our night as she treated us, and everyone else so very kindly. I want to like Johnny Rockets. They have that old-timey diner flair that you just wanna love, but when it comes to the food and service... I just can't love it. I know that they have a location that seems to get a lot of traffic, but daaaaang, someone needs to take a broom to this place every now and then. Frequently dirty, with tables often left with dirty plates and such. It feels like every time another customer came in, staff had to frantically clear a table to accommodate them (perhaps they're often short-handed?). And the food is okay at best. We stopped by for a bite to eat while we were out shopping with friends. It was pretty busy, but the wait was short and we were able to get a table for 6 really quickly. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. You can tell when most servers are trying to be overly nice to get a bigger tip, but Abby was genuinely excited to be at work. That really set the tone for the rest of the meal. She came back frequently and made sure our drinks were filled and that we were enjoying our meals. The food was outstanding. I had a Smokehouse single with fries, and an Oreo shake. Everything was cooked well and the sauces on the burger were delicious. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food and there were no complaints. The serving size was just right, and I was filled up by the time I left. The price was higher than normal fast food, but it wasn't unreasonable. For the quality of food, it was worth the price. We will certainly be back next time we go to Station Park! read more

We've always been a fan of Johnny Rockets but this last trip will probably be our very last and final trip. First of all they've done away with Coke products and switched to Pepsi. Not that this is a big deal to most but for those who love Coke, Pepsi just doesn't cut it. But the big issue that has really stopped us from ever going back is when our waitress named Saige was running our cards and one didn't go through. Now this is embarrassing on any occasion however instead of walking over to our table our server decided to yell across the restaurant "your card declined." She did ask us still from across the resturaunt if we'd like her to run it again and she did. Then again from across the restaurant she shouts "yeah it's declined!" This is unacceptable and any person who would does this and thinks its OK that works for customer service in any restaurant should be let known this is not OK. I personally would've let her go after this because that was quite embarrassing and you've lost a customer for life. read more

I called them and they said I could either come back and pick up my burger or get a free meal the next time. I should have turned down the free meal because the food sucks.
