I came for a walk in and got the worst barber in there. I asked him if he could do a low drop fade with textured top. He lied and said yes. I even wanted to show him a picture but he took offense to it. I should have known with that red flag alone. I been growing my hair out and now it's completely ruined. I ended up with a super high bad fade and a thin mohawk .. I would recommend avoiding the old Asian guy if you choose to take a risk at this place . You pay for what you get and this place is cheap for a reason . Lesson learned. read more

Johnny is the owner of this place and my go to barber. He is very friendly and is about the customers. I can always have a good conversation with him about basketball or football. One time I came to the barbershop, Johnny was about to go on his lunch break but came back out the back room because he saw me outside. For $8 I get a nice clean taper or fade with a razor line up. Most barbershops charge $15-20 for a taper or fade. There is also a Hispanic lady at this shop as well that is also good. read more

It would be unfair for me to give this place a one star as I've had good haircuts here in the past. My main gripe is that the quality is inconsistent. I come here on and off (mostly on the months when I am short on cash), and never on the same day of the week as my previous visit, which means I never have the same barber consecutively. If you're fortunate enough to actually have Johnny cut your hair, you should be in good hands. However, as one can surmise from the other reviews, he is very popular so it is difficult to get him as your barber. The other good barbers are the Middle Eastern and older Hispanic gentlemen (I wish I knew their names). Unfortunately, that is where the list of skilled barbers in this place ends as everyone else is incompetent. Today I had the misfortune of having my barber insist that he followed my directions when he clearly did not. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication happen, but I give the same specific and simple directions to every person that cuts my hair no matter where I go and the final product always ends up looking more or less what I wanted. If not, I simply have to reiterate it to them or explain in a different way. This barber wouldn't even give me this opportunity as he kept arguing with me that he had done things correctly and proceeded to recommend as different style. A lackluster haircut I can forgive since it's just hair after all and it will grow back. Terrible customer service, however, is unacceptable. As I mentioned previously, I come here when cash is low because it's only $12 (it used to be $10). I now realize that you get what you pay for. If you do come here, make sure you ask for the three guys I mentioned. read more

I have 4 boys and when this guy Zee finishes my 3rd son's hair he turns my 4th son away and says that he doesn't have time to cut HIS hair. Recently moved to bellflower from Hollywood. Decided to check this place out. Went yesterday 04-23-17 some old dude in the middle left hand side, cut my hair. It has to be the worst decision of my life! This dude didn't know what the hell he was doing. He cut the shit out of my back, I asked for a taper and he gave me what he wanted. My first time getting a haircut from this place today (3/5/16). They were pretty busy except for one guy, so I sat down at his station. He gave me a haircut. While giving me a haircut I could not really see myself on the mirror because there is no mirror on the other side of the station and he was cutting facing against his station mirror. I got home, inspected myself and I realized that the barber gave me a bald spot!! My guess is what had happened was, I requested to get my hair texturized with zig zag scissors and he accidentally cut it with regular scissors. Now, you might think I have a bald spot already. I can assure you my hair is very thick, also when I touched that part of my head, you can feel that it's actually has been cut. Other than that, price is really good. 2/5 stars.
