I don't even know where to begin, so I'll start with the scheduling experience. I called ahead to book a haircut for my 2 yr old son and specifically asked if the barbers were comfortable cutting a toddler's hair, knowing how challenging that can be. The person I spoke with assured me that they could and said he personally handled children's cuts. His name was Christian. I booked the appointment for Saturday, October 11th, at 11a, and mentioned I had a photo reference of the style I wanted. He said that would be perfect to share at the appointment. Fast forward to the appointment: I arrived around 10:45a with my son. We were neither greeted nor acknowledged (red flag #1). I understand it's an all male barbershop, but as a mom walking in with a young child, a simple "Hi" or "Welcome" would have gone a long way. Moments later, a male customer entered and was warmly greeted with, "Hey, welcome to the shop, we'll be right with you" (red flag #2). A few minutes later, a barber approached and confirmed I was there for my son's appointment. He introduced himself as Christian and said he'd be with us shortly. To his credit, the appointment started right on time, and I did notice him cleaning his tools and workspace before calling us over. That's the one star. Once my son was seated, I showed Christian the photo of the haircut I wanted. I also told him my son had hurt his ear earlier that morning and asked that he be gentle around that area. He acknowledged and began working. However, as he started cutting, I noticed he was going much shorter than the reference photo. I showed him the picture again, and he said he'd stay at a "2," yet continued cutting shorter (red flag #3). By the time I stopped him, my son's hair was already down to a "1"completely different from what I had requested. To make matters worse, Christian continued touching my son's sensitive ear despite my earlier warning. My son was becoming restless, and I finally asked him to stop. Christian insisted on "just finishing the top," and although I agreed, I clearly said not to cut it short. He nodded, then proceeded to do exactly that. He ultimately charged $20, explaining it wasn't a "full service." Honestly, I should have refused to pay given the botched result. My son's haircut was nothing like the photo, and the entire experience felt careless and dismissive. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this barbershop. I strongly advise parents of young children (especially mom's) to avoid bringing their kids here unless they're okay with botched cuts and sexist behaviors. read more

He kept going over the same areas on my sides and it turned out to be a complete waste of my time. Prices are $35, cash or card, except for one barber; Drew, he charges $45 for his haircuts. It's clean and a nice environment, waiting chairs are enough for maybe 3 4 people max while waiting. My boy Joseph did not understand the assignment I showed him a messy, texture quiff and the man did not deliver. I showed him exact photos of what I wanted. He styled it and it looked nothing like it. He took an hour just to do the sides so I didn't even bother asking him to fix the top. It's way too long, and he kept pushing it like a side part even though I was wanted to style it forward. I thought he was super friendly but I could tell he did not know how to deliver on the hair that I wanted. Super careful and gentle but overall just not experienced to get the hair that I wanted. What a great first time experience! I made an appointment with Ernest a couple days in advance for a cut for my son. Not knowing anything about Ernest, I just went for it based on the Yelp reviews. Ever since I was a little boy, I dislike haircuts. My mother used to utilize a tactic and get good looking girls to cut my hair so I stay still and don't make a fuss. The barbershop is clean, and filled with a huge amount of anime, manga and comic references. Andrew is a really nice dude who would love to chat up with his customers about the latest games, manga, comic book and all the nerdy, geeky stuff. I had my haircut that day by Alex, another barber that was stationed right next to Andrew. He was a super cool dude and he was an excellent barber. He took his time and made sure I left the store a happy and well groomed. The cut was fresh and he made sure the line up was clean and just the way I like it. My hair is very frizzy and pretty hard to maintain but Alex really put the effort and paid attention to the details to make sure I was satisfied. The cut itself was cheaper than the other so-called fresh cut barbershop. But don't let the price of the haircut fool you because all I see is nothing but fresh cut and great customer service from Andrew and the crew.
